Pawshake releases sitter payouts 24–48 hours after a booking has ended. This short holding period allows time for any last-minute booking changes, refunds, or reported issues to be resolved fairly for both parties.
Once the payout is released, the transfer is processed electronically. Depending on your bank, it can take several business days for the funds to appear in your account. Weekends, public holidays, and individual bank processing times can all affect how quickly this happens.
Regarding contact methods: Pawshake does not offer phone support. As we move toward 2026, the vast majority of our community prefers written communication, as it provides a clear paper trail and allows us to investigate issues accurately. If you contact us via the Help Centre, our Support Team can assist you directly and provide tracking information for your payout where available.
Please rest assured that all payments are processed securely. We’re always happy to help if you reach out through the app or Help Centre.

I was very impressed by the combination of professionalism and genuine care my pet sitter offered. I chose two home visits a day option for five days for my senior kitty and my sitter came over before the booked dates to meet and greet my treasured kitty. I received a report card every day which included his mood, energy levels, toileting etc and lots of photos.
Knowing my cat was in his own space and being so well cared for, it gave me the peace of mind to really enjoy my holiday without worrying about my cat. I thoroughly recommend Pawshake, hiring a pet sitter through the app is easy and comfortable!

I’m really disappointed with my experience. I booked this pet sitter five months in advance to ensure my cat would be taken care of while I was away. Everything was confirmed. We had agreed on a time to meet, which she cancelled an hour beforehand, then said she would be able to reschedule later, which we both agreed on. She messaged me again at the time she was expected at my house and said it wasn't worth it as Pawshake would take too much commission and her hourly rate was not enough. Well she did have 5 months to work that out but left it until the day we were to meet.
Having such a long-standing reservation fall through was stressful and left me scrambling to find a replacement.
Based on this experience, I would not use Pawshake in the future.

We do want to clarify how Pawshake bookings work so future owners have the right expectations. A booking is only considered confirmed once payment has been made through Pawshake and a booking number has been issued. In this case, no payment or booking number was ever created, so the reservation was not considered confirmed in our system.
We also understand there was discussion about paying the sitter directly to avoid service fees. While we appreciate you were trying to find a quick solution, off-platform payments aren’t permitted under our Terms of Service. This is because they remove all protections for both pet owners and sitters—including the Pawshake Guarantee, secure payments, customer support and booking records—which are only available for bookings completed through Pawshake.
We do hope you’ll consider giving Pawshake another try in the future. When bookings are completed through the platform, owners receive clear confirmations, full support and access to our trusted sitter community. If you ever need help choosing or confirming a sitter, we’re always here to assist.
