I bought a WordPress plugin from Payhip (WP Optimal State Pro WordPress Plugin)

I was skeptical because I didn't really know anything about Payhip or the plugin developer.

Everything worked out just fine. Payment was quick and easy, and the plugin works great.

I'm giving this platform one star because it is not fully translatable, which makes it unusable if your audience doesn't speak one of the major languages they support. This is not clearly communicated anywhere, so you can easily spend a lot of time building your site before discovering that the system pages (cart, checkout, login, register, etc.) cannot be translated - only the custom pages can.

On top of that, the support has been extremely disappointing. I reached out asking for possible workarounds and have not received any reply for more than 10 days. I can't imagine relying on a platform where, if something goes wrong, you might not get an answer at all.

Overall, I would not recommend this service if you need multilingual support or reliable customer service.

I was helped by Tara at Payhip. Thank you so much! Payhip has been such as lifesaver. I had no idea what I was doing with setting up my store, but Tara walked me through everything (also, without making me feel dumb :D). Managed to sell my ebooks now!

It has been an amazing easy experience to open my shop on Payhip and integrate it in my own artist web page. Up to now I did not need any support from their help line, so I can't tell much about it. I sell my songs with this shop structure and it is dirt easy. I plan to put some merchandizing / fan articles such as t-shirts and so forth. Besides the 5 % commission their servcices are FREE! And it's good stuff designed by intelligent people because everybody is able to use their tools within a couple of hours. 5 stars!

Payhip dashed my hopes, literally. I joined the platform a few months ago, created a store where I uploaded three e-books that I personally had created. Everything was good in the beginning, then I noticed my ebooks were not in Payhip marketplace, so I submitted a request to join in. I knew at the time that my account should have a minimum threshold of 10 dollars for my e-books to processed to the marketplace. I made a 10 dollar sale after intensive marketing on IG, uploaded another book, and then tried to submit the request to marketplace again, but it was not quite feasible for me, WHY? Then I reached out to them over and over, like at least five times, and nobody would reply and explain the situation. Black Friday passed, and still my ebooks are not getting the attention they deserve, even if the content does not meet their criteria (which I highly doubt because it is really good) , they should get back to me and explain why they do not allow me to submit a new request to the marketplace, especially for the fourth book which was newly added. I do not recommend this site for those aspiring to get noticed on a built-in traffic marketplace, obviously they don't care.

I’ve genuinely felt cared for and supported every step of the way, which is rare to find in a company. It’s clear that they have your best interests at heart, and they do everything they can to help you succeed.

Lucy has been great in helping me to navigate Payhip. She has fixed issues for me when I accidentally made two store accounts, helped me with applepay setup, and has answered every question I have along the way. I wish Payhip publishes a comprehensive list of new features because I keep finding new features here and there from their support team or by accident. Lesson learnt: always come to customer support for new feature requests because they mgight already have those. This is a great platform for selling ebooks. I highly recommend!

The fact that I can sell digital products on Payhip without paying monthly fees still blows my mind. I was so tired of getting hit with subscription costs and random listing charges. Thanks Payhip!

Whenever I've had a question or shared feedback with Payhip, the response time has been solid. I haven't experienced issues with the storefronts I build, so I can't speak to troubleshooting, but my tech and design background likely helps. Overall, I love the platform and highly recommend it to clients selling ebooks from their own websites. The 5% fee is far better than the 30–65% cut from major online retailers. I've compared Shopify and WooCommerce for author needs, and Payhip is still the easiest, most feature-friendly option. There's always room for improvement, but Payhip gives you exceptional bang for your buck

Payhip is very convenient for selling my ebooks. They only take %5 from every sale I make, and I appreciate that I can switch to one of their montly plans when it makes sense for my revenue. The developers are very generous with the feature development
