One star is too much.
Shocking company with useless advisors.
No phone to call them.
I have used them for years with minor problem but daughter started business during lockdown, She signed up wth them without asking me as kids do.
She took a small amount around £100 from home baking and made a website.
After 10 successful sales they say there is something wrong and she cannot use stripe.
After contacting them for reasons. Nothing just a letter saying sorry and best wishes for your business.
All payments refunded.
The best part about it on the dashboard there is nothing in the disputes section nothing to say which card they claim was used without the owners authority which was the issue. All the card payers she actually knew and still stripe wont help.
USELESS DISGRACFUL SET OF FOOLS

This company offers you services as a means of payment but in reality after a few days blocks you without giving you a valid reason. The obscure reasons of "risk" are not supported by the company and they block your funds.

I called my lawyer in the US and a debt collection company because Stripe now owes me more than 10,000 euros. The case is ongoing and as Stripe does not deign to answer our letters of formal notice we will soon settle this dispute in court.

I've used this up now for over a year or 2 to take the odd payment through my stripe account and never had a problem. Once I use the wrong currency and had to get support and they were very helpful. It's only 0.5% charge for each transaction and wanted to leave this rating as I can't believe the other reviews as I've never had any issue.

Never ever use Stripe if you don’t want to be disappointed. Blocking Payments whenever they want, Holding money in moving Payout till the hell without giving any explanation (No disputes on the account)
And the worst Customer Service Ever, (As this is the only way to contact them) you’re lucky if they reply you within 48 hours.

I have to say, I had high hopes for this app, and for some time, I was really pleased with it.

Reading PayNow blog, it would appear that they are on top of technology and are focused on providing a great payment app for their customers, and making constant improvements.

In fact, they increased their transaction costs, stating that they pride themselves on their customer service and in order to keep up, they have had to increase their costs so that they can continue to provide excellent customer service and continue moving their app forward.

However, when I asked about tow things in their blog that they said they had developed, they said that it wasn't actually developed yet, but was something they are hoping to be able to do, and its on their list of wants.

Then, the app suddenly stopped working. I submitted a support ticket and was tools that some iPhone X users had reported problems, but the good news is that it still works on older iPhones!

I said that I didn't have an older iPhone and can they let me know when the issue is fixed as I use this app all the time for face to face payments. I was promised that they would.
2 weeks later I heard nothing and asked for an update. they said that I need the latest app update - however, that was the version I was already running, but still had the problems. They said they would get right on it. Now, a month later - still nothing

AVOID AVOID AVOID!!! Anyone who installed this app I advise u to check ur stripe account. For months this app on random payments I took showed up the payment was a "success" and customer took items. Only months later by chance I noticed a number of these transactions failed. I provided evidence to back up my story but Pay Now just said they tried testing it and can't find any problems or bugs so tuff luck basically. I'm down 100s now. As for people thinking of downloading there are plenty alternatives. Only download if you want to risks loosing 100s or 1000s in payments
