PSU absolutamente fantastica

Fully modular cabling makes for a tidy build, and the build quality is quite respectable given the price.
It delivers stable rail voltages and handles load well in testing — good reliability for mainstream use.

Blatant LIES, incompetence, QA issues.
I bought a new CPU along with a refurbished motherboard.
I got them quickly, that's a good thing. But quickly getting a defective product is meaningles.
Believe me, this is a good read. I am borderline getting scammed, everything is here, from incompetent customer service, incompetant RMA, BLATANT LIES, 25-30+ long chain of emails, multiple RMA back and forths... The whole thing.
The board had one of the stands of the backplate missing, that's... fine-ISH. I had a third party cooler for it with its own backplate.
What isn't fine is the following:
The system would power on and immediately go off.
On the first power up, I suspected a short-circuit due to the combination of the expected 'new-electronics' or 'burn-in' smell which can somewhat smell faintly like burnt electronics + the fact that the system was powering off immediately.
I inspected the board and found black residue bridging two of the VRMs that did smell like burnt electronic to both me and two other people.
Everything made sense and pointed to a defective board that fried itself on the first boot (It's refurbished.).
That can happen, and it didn't fry anything else I had installed in the system so I sent it for RMA but insisted on sending the CPU along with it because I had no way of testing the CPU. Knowing we are talking about blown VRMs, which control the current supplied to the CPU, it was, in my opinion, a very logical worry of mine.
They accepted, after 10 back and forth emails, one 30+ minutes call with a representative who:
1. Had no idea what he was talking about technically speaking.
2. Had no idea what he was talking about regarding the case.
(CX - I have reviewed the emails and I'm ready to help.
ME - So I want to send the board AND CPU to RMA because this, this and that.
CX - Oh so now it's about a a CPU as well ?
ME - Yes, you said you read the emails, it's in the emails...)
3. The representative insinuated it was fine because the board is refurbished.
(Me - You guys sold me a defective product, the board doesn't work.
CX - Well it's refurbished.
ME - So ? When you sell a refurbished product you sell it in working condition, you don't sell dead equipment.
CX - Oh yes of course of course)
5. This same representative tried to blame me for the issue.
(CX - Well how do you know it was a defect and not your outlet or something like that ?
ME - Because I have another system running on the same outlet with the exact same power supply and same everything but the CPU, which is still an exact same rated TDP CPU as this one, and the system is running fine.)
Anyway, they finally accept the RMA.
I send it.
Two days later I get an email from their RMA department saying the following. This is a direct quote, simply translated from Portuguese to English with DeepL:
"The processor retainer was replaced, and the motherboard was tested with the customer's processor. The BIOS was successfully updated, and the system was confirmed to boot up to Windows.
Therefore, the equipment will be returned to the customer. "
I thought "Well maybe it was the BIOS. (A520 + R7 5700. Entirely plausible.).
I get the CPU and motherboard back two days later.
EXACT, SAME, ISSUE.
I had enough, before sending them an email about it, I take the board and the CPU, go to a third party reputable PC shop who also do repairs. Won't site the name because I dind't get their authorization to do so.
I tell them "This happened, can you guys just check what's wrong ? I don't have a way to check this CPU independently from this board. I don't want you to fix or replace anything, just tell me what's wrong with it."
They accepted, within two hours or so they call me back and tell me "The CPU is fine, we tested it on another board. The motherboard is dead. We don't know what's wrong with it but we tested it with our own equipment, the board won't boot. It power cycles."
So only two things are possible here. But the second one is so ridiculous that defending that stance is nothing short of.... I don't even have the words. But it wouldn't surprise me if they did.
1. They lied in the RMA email. Straight up LIED. A BOLD FACE LIE.
2. The motherboard didn't work with me, somehow with the movement in shipping to the RMA center and whatnot got into a state where it now does work. Then when they sent it back, the same thing happened in reverse 😂.
Or maybe theres atmospheric differences between Leiria and Aveiro big enough for the board to stop working here 😂
Absolutely ridiculous.
I had to send the board back to RMA again, today. I'm not even expecting a repair anymore. I'm half expecting the RMA guys to turn this board into a ticking time bomb to mess with me at this point 🤣
Anyway, first purchase from PCDIGA, never again. Shame because I needed to buy two 4k TVs and their prices seemed alright. I wouldn't even buy a screw from this company, let alone a screwdriver.
