The customer support is the worst in…

The customer support is the worst in the industry. For that reason, I choose another institution for my credit card needs.

This experience has been since the start. Not just recently. To speak with someone takes 1 month waiting on the phone for someone to finally pick up. It's like they don't hire any workers to provide customer support

Been banking with them for 3 years save your time

Been banking with them for 3 years. Have 8 loans come out of this account every month for my business equipment. This last month I have had 2 nsa fees because pc is taking out the money days before the loan is dated for. So called the loan company the told me that is how pc is processing and not them. Called pc about the issue 3 times and got yelled at and talked down too. Ultimately not getting my money back.....

Extremely Disappointing After 10+ Years…

Extremely Disappointing After 10+ Years as a Customer.

I had this card since 2014 and always paid my balance. While travelling, I genuinely forgot about a small $40 balance and paid it as soon as I returned to Canada. Instead of showing any understanding for a long-time customer, they cancelled my card without warning.

What made it worse was the attitude from customer service. No appreciation for over a decade of loyalty, no attempt to fix the situation, and then they told me I had to *reapply* like a brand-new customer. That was the final straw.

I cut the card and I won’t be using any of their services again. If this is how they treat long-term customers over something so minor, I can’t recommend them to anyone.

I’m disappointed with my experience at PC Financial. My account was locked twice for no reason, and the amount of time I had to spend fixing it was unacceptable and unprofessional.
The first time, I spent over an hour on the phone and was transferred twice just to get my account unlocked. Frustrating, but I moved on.
The second time was far worse. I was on hold for 3.5 hours and transferred eight times before someone finally resolved it. As soon as I tried to send an e-transfer, my account was locked again. I had to call back, spend another hour on hold, and get transferred four more times.
At that point, I unlocked my account just long enough to transfer all my money out. I’m officially done.
I’ve moved to Wealthsimple, and the difference in service has been night and day. PC Financial really needs to improve their systems and customer support — this was beyond disappointing.

The absolute worst Customer Service I…

The absolute worst Customer Service I have ever dealt with......now this is saying lots but even worse than Rogers. Wait times average 45 minutes and when you get someone they ask for the problem and have to transfer to someone else and then that person asks you what is the problem......finally snapped and told them to cancel the World Elite card.

Dropped me when I needed them most...

I’ve been a loyal PC Financial Mastercard holder for over a decade, with a credit limit of $19,900. Over the past six months, without any justification or explanation, they’ve drastically reduced my credit limit all the way down to just $1,000. I’ve always maintained a perfect payment history, often carrying a zero balance, so this reduction came out of the blue and had a significant impact on us.

This sudden change affected our plans to build a house, as we had factored that line of credit into our budget. Losing that credit line before we could even use it caused considerable stress and inconvenience.

I called about this every time they reduced the line of credit further and escalated the issue to a supervisor, who promised to contact the credit department and get back to me with a resolution. Unfortunately, they never followed through, and continued to lower my limit after these calls, even while carrying a zero bslance. Despite multiple calls and hours upon hours on hold and expressing concern to multiple agents, I received no call back, explanation or resolution.

In summary, this experience has been extremely frustrating and disappointing. All of my other credit cards have a sizeable limit, no other provider has lowered my limits. This is extremely unprofessional. I would not recommend PC Financial based on my recent experience and I intend to close my long standing relationship with them.

This is the worst bank I've ever used…

This is the worst bank I've ever used in my entire life. I signed up 2 years ago for a 4% high interest savings account rate.

Now in 2 years they cut my rate SIX TIMES for no reason with not even a 24 hour notice. From 4% to 3.5% to 3.1% to 2.8% to 2.5% to 2.2% and now at some point without warning they will cut it down to 2% , HALF what I originally signed up for.

Enough is enough, I opened an account with Neo financial for a 3% interest rate no BS no nonsense.

PC financial also has HORRIBLE customer service, everytime I ever called took between 30 to 45 mins hold time, then 100% of the time the first person you speak with will ask several security questions, ask what your calling about then immediately transfer you to another department. MORE wait times, more bad English to speak to a 2nd person who you have to explain from the beggining what your calling about, then 50/50 chance you get transferred to a 3rd person OR the 2nd one will just keep telling you to go to the app.

Another MAJOR problem, when you call in the automatic service tries HARD to make you hang up and go to the app, even after asking for an agent 3x it will then transfer you to the AI chat bot instead over the phone, who you have to ask 4 more times to speak with an agent.

So there's literally 5 obstacles you have to navigate every single time just for the privilege of being put on hold for 30/45/60 minutes just to speak to multiple people in multiple departments who can't help you anyways.

ANOTHER major problem, is on 5 occasions my life savings just literally vanished. My savings account suddenly read $0, calling in for balance read $0, then an hour later on the phone they said it was a glitch or scheduled maintenance as if that explains it ?

Imagine having 5 panic attacks thinking someone stole your identity and emptied your entire life savings with the app and call in service confirming you have $0 chequing $0 savings instead of 100k.....

Terrible app
Terrible customer service
Terrible automated phone service
Terrible interest rates

It's the kind of bank they should make a documentary on or a new story I'm not kidding.

Oh yeah you get 50 cents off bread at loblaws once every few months WOW

PCMC, Your Customer Service gone down the toilet!

I changed my reqular no fee PC MC for a world elite Presidence Choice master card mid september. Activated the card as the instructions indicated. The first time I tapped it it showed up my profile with my detailed activities. But when I wanted to pay for my purchased groceries, it got declined multiple times. Called customer service, they said I entered wrong pass code. I mentioned, I only tapped the card, and no pass code was entered. They insisted to change my code. Process took about 40 minutes!
Few days later, the same issue. Had to wait 58 minutes, talked to some rep whom just repeated the same line without understanding my problem. Supervisor got on line, the same problem. Asked to cancel the card, they said they are not going to refund my $120 annual fee either.
What a service these guys are providing? The days of customer service is gone in Canada, and a good example of that is Preseident's Choice Credit Company!!

Months of Silence, Cancelled Reviews, and No Accountability — MasterCard Ignored Written Proof from the Hotel Itself

Months of Silence, Cancelled Reviews, and No Accountability — MasterCard Ignored Written Proof from the Hotel Itself

I am extremely disappointed — and frankly disgusted — with how PC MasterCard has handled my dispute.

The hotel cancelled my reservation the day before check-in — I have written proof — and they promised me a refund in writing. Despite this, they still charged me and later misrepresented the situation by citing a “no-cancellation policy,” omitting the crucial fact that they cancelled the booking, not me.

I submitted the hotel’s written cancellation and refund promise to MasterCard over seven weeks ago, yet I have received no acknowledgement, no follow-up, and no resolution. Instead, the charge was allowed to stand based on incomplete and misleading information provided by the merchant.

Since April 2025, I have spoken with five supervisors and sent over fifteen emails trying to get this corrected. My most recent call was on November 12 2025, when a supervisor told me they “may review” my case but couldn’t promise that I’d receive a refund — even though I provided irrefutable written proof that the merchant cancelled the reservation and confirmed I was approved for reimbursement.

To make matters worse, PC MasterCard keeps deleting or cancelling my posted reviews, preventing me from publicly warning other customers about how my case has been handled. This silencing adds insult to injury.

This was not a change-of-plans cancellation. It was a hotel-initiated cancellation followed by a broken refund promise. I acted in good faith, supplied all documentation, and corrected a clerical error immediately. The decision to uphold the charge is unjust, contrary to the evidence, and inconsistent with fair-dealing standards.

After seven months of being ignored, I am requesting — once again — that MasterCard reopen my case, review the written evidence, and reverse the full amount.

Absolutely terrible

Absolutely terrible! Still waiting on my refund/credit from unauthorized transactions in my card. They also refused to credit me for all of the unauthorized transactions, even though mastercard (which PC uses) is legally liable to refund you for unauthorized transactions to your card. DO NOT sign up for a PC credit card. Much better cards out there from more reputable companies. Customer service is horrible, and many times have to wait over 30-40 to get someone on the line, and then they will transfer you 3 more times because nobody knows what they are doing!

Waiting for last 55 mins

Waiting for last 55 mins. It’s easier to go through immigration channel to enter another country that to avail PC Mastercard customer service. Pathetic care for the clients time. Perhaps time to switch to another provider.

I don't know of any worse bank. To try and get a hold of a real person is almost impossible. I do not recommend this financial institution. They should be de-regulated.
