Get What You Pay For Roadside Assist Policy
Took out additional Roadside Assistance with my comprehensive car insurance.
Today my car broke down at Yass, NSW. A tow truck was organised and it was towed to a mechanic who refused to look at it, cause they were too busy. My daughter then rang 6 other local mechanics, all refusing, stating too busy.
PD left my hysterical daughter on the roadside 3hrs from home, wiping their hands stating that their obligation was complete.
I contacted management of call centre when I was talking to deaf ears of a pleb. Management wiped their hands and told me that I should have read the fine print of their policy. Nothing else was offered.
This insurance policy is obviously a get what you pay for policy. BUYER BEWARE.
PD can stick my renewal insurance policy 'where the sun don't shine!'.

Update 14-3-2023 my accident was on the 11-11, 5 days later PD lost my car, they finally found my car 6-3-2023. How can you loose a customers car?
I’ve had been with them for over 4 years and never a day late on paying. I had a not at fault accident, sandwiched between 2 cars, Was told the car was a write off as it’s an older car. PD decided to say I was not insured as I had a default on a debt, this debt had nothing to do with PD and also was all cleared before the accident.
Was speaking with Matthew Lawrence who said he was speaking to CFO who would make the decision however as he was concerned they would not cover me.

“Whilst ALL credit default judgements relate to the non-payment of a ‘debt’, the source of the debt or the reason the monies were owed do not change just because a debt is sold or re-assigned to an external collection agent.
As such, I am satisfied the decision to decline your claim is correct because you failed to notify, or make any attempt to notify, PD Insurance of the credit default judgement when you policy last renewed.
Once again, I’m genuinely sorry that we are unable to accept your claim and assure you I have thoroughly considered my response.”
I am genuinely sorry what a load of bs, they are saying that I did not notify them, when I was called at no time was. Saying that when I went to add my car online back in September 2021 there is no options to change it and when I was called in March 2022, Maxine was to busy trying to sell me something rather than update policy, she went through all questions and that question out of 40 other questions was not asked.
PD can’t be bothered working for the money they were paid.

I sold a vehicle. Sent an email to cancel policy. And get a.call back. Nothing happens. I ring leave on hold .
Very poor I feel they steal.your refunds. Ombudsman may help
Worst insurer ever!!
I have car insurance with this awful company. It took 4 weeks for them to be ready to book my car in for repairs. Fortunately, it was drivable. Like others, I've spent hours on hold only to be asked to leave a message, which is never returned. If I do get through, they don't make notes about my call and subsequent calls are plagued with problems. They say they'll call back with an update but never do. I've asked them to follow up regarding an overcharge to my repairs but every time I call they say they're still waiting for a third party. I ask them to chase it up and they say they will but never do. I will never insure with them again and can't get out of my policy quickly enough. It's true that you get what you pay for. DO NOT INSURE WITH PD INSURANCE.
No one help you with the calim!
I made a claim online but no one contacted me after that. I tried to call them but no one answered the phone. After being on hold for 31 minutes, I was asked to leave a message and hung up. I logged in to my account and tried to chat with someone online. Again, no one answered. The robot asked me to leave contact details and said someone will contact me.

Took out comprehensive car insurance + roadside assistance with this company. Reached out four roadside assistance and not one of my phone calls was answered, ended up having to leave my car and go and buy a new battery myself. When trying to cancel the roadside assistance policy and get a refund, I was met with hostility and no apology whatsoever. 100% would avoid - I would hate to thing how a claim would be handled.
