Decent product, horrible customer support
Great and simple product.
BUT the EULA has a sneaky line where the LIFETIME product is only valid for ONE device. And if you want to move change the device you have to contact support and let them "ALLOW" you to change.
I had to contact support about this and their support comes off as incredibly passive aggressive and provided no solutions when I tried downloading the offline product on my new laptop.
Their reasoning was "It was in the EULA and you are breaking it. So we won't help you." Essentially, it felt like they told me to go f*** myself.
I had to come up with a solution and THEN they allowed me to use MY permanent license on my new computer.
I just dont get why they would let you buy their product if I wont really even own it.

I am using Pro License for 2 years
I am using Pro License for 2 years. The support is excellent and their EPUB to PDF converter works awesome for some messy EPUB which have a lot of Images and Text formatting.
Those EPUBs are a pain for Calibre and other tools. But PDF candy does the perfect job

PDF Candy License Transfer Support
The computer that I had PDF Candy running on had a catastrophic crash rendering it inoperable. I purchased a replacement computer and had problems transferring the old license to the new computer. I contacted Icecream Apps Support to help me resolve my problem. They got back to me the next day with a solution. I followed their instructions and got myself up and running with PDF Candy shortly thereafter.

Product is very good - support needs some attention
Please note that I am updating my previous review and rating. Originally I had submitted a 1 star with very specific complaints that the company support was failing to resolve a problem and it was extremely challenging to get any kind of help. Today, a support person took the time - after I had raised a specific question - to suggest that we try switching my account from one email address (a Hotmail/Outlook account) to a different address. After that was done, I was able to get in successfully twice and actually use the program features. As I said in my earlier review, Pdfcandy works fine IF you can get into the product. I had purchased the paid version and was unable to access the product from April 16th until today. So I'm pretty unhappy that it took that long for their support team to resolve the situation. I purchased the paid version so I would not have limits on the number of documents. I am still unhappy that their support team was obviously not reading my tickets but just doing a boilerplate response. I am VERY satisfied with the professional and swift response of the latest support person who actually resolved my issue. It is not unusual in a company to find a big bunch of support personnel who are either too inexperienced, too overwhelmed, or who just don't care. In my career, I provided IT support for over 30 years and it can be a very tough job. But pdfCandy is going to have BIG problems if they do not get a handle on this very quickly. They have likely grown in their paid subscriptions quicker than anticipated and just do not yet have the support needed and trained. That has killed many an aspiring company so I hope they get a handle on this quickly. For now, I'm going to give them a 3-star. I can't give more because it took much too long for them to respond and 99% of those who did respond did so without any reference to the information that had been provided. Essentially - it felt like they were just deflecting until they could catch up. That won't work for paid services. There are two sides to a contract - I pay my fee - YOU provide an unimpeded service. Eventually you had quality staff that figured out the issue. You need to have a plan in place for escalation and you need to update your list of issues that people report so that you can more quickly and efficiently divide and conquer problems. I like the product very much. If it remains stable and affordable, I'll rethink signing up again. But the ball is in pdfCandy's court to hold up their end of the bargain.

Solid working software and excellent support
The tools do what they say they do and a lot cheaper than Adobe. I like paying once instead of having a subscription. I have had some problems due to errors on my part and the service techs were very helpful.

Excellent tool for pdf file management on Windows
I purchased a pdf candy desktop pro lifetime licence in May 2023, following a review of the offline (ie local/desktop) and online (ie internet-based) alternatives, including the offering from Adobe. For me, the local version is much more convenient, and of course much more secure.
The software has been used to address a large number of legacy files, in different formats such as jpg, and often fragmented (single pages requiring consolidation into a multi-page pdf document), necessitating the use of multiple elements of the software, which has performed well.
Support to migrate the licence from an older hardware to newer but has been quick and customer-friendly.
A couple of suggestions: (1) if possible, automate the licence migration process (2) increase the number of tasks available for free evaluation, as the current low number is really small in relation to the range of functionality provided by the software.
Overall I am happy that I chose this software, and can recommend it to others with similar requirements.

I subscribed to a lifetime plan and I need to reset my code.
I subscribed to a lifetime plan. And, my SSD suffered a workstrike when I really in need to use it.
As soon as I replaced the SSD, found that I can't use my PDFCandy.
So, send them an email and was expecting for a few days for them to reset the code.
Abra cadabra, they reset my subscribtion code in a blink of the eyes.

My mistake My loss. Buyer beware!
I totally own making a mistake when I purchased the lifetime download version. I mistakenly thought I could add fillable text fields to pdf for downloads and didn't fully realize this isn't a feature in pdfCandy until after paying. I immediately requested a refund and was informed this isn't covered in their refund policy so my loss.
On top of this there word doc to pdf conversions are subpar if you are importing charts.
