I purchased a lifetime license for PDF Expert, expecting a seamless experience. However, when I switched to a new computer, I was unable to activate the program without deactivating it on my old device. Despite receiving a message about deactivation, there were no clear instructions on how to do it.
I contacted customer support multiple times via email, but I haven't received any response. As a paying customer, I find this lack of support extremely disappointing.
If the company offers lifetime licenses, they should provide an easy and reliable way to manage licenses across devices, especially when users upgrade their hardware. I hope Readdle takes this feedback seriously and improves their support system.
This is another program that I've used for years in my hobby of restoring old sheet music to playable condition again. I read negative reviews and wonder how their experience could be the opposite to mine. The program does everything you need to do with pdfs...rearrange order of pages, copy, paste, annotate, add text, etc. It does have some quirks, that go contrary to Mac operation, like having to grab the second level tool bar to move the window, unlike every other Mac program, but this is the biggest irritation when using the program. I've mentioned this problem. but they don't seem to care. I wish it had features like an alignment tool to straighten the text or image or the ability to select and move an item on the page. It definitely could be better, but so far, it's the best pdf program I've discovered for Mac.
Since they added authentication API on the app they limited the feature that can be used without upgrade you account, knowing that we have lifetime license
Trash since 2024. The app does not work anymore. $150 for vanity.
I did not subscribe to PDF Expertor the £39.99 yearly payment. I sent some photos using PDF there was nothing about subscribing to PDF Expert, let alone a yearly fee. How did I agree to this?
Has to be updated every second day to keep working... ridiculous PITA
PDF Expert is a complete waste of money. Cannot sign a simple document. No technical support.
Run away from this like the wind.
Paid app version of PDF Expect started to require sign up after update. The app doesn't work without sign up, which I don't want to do. I think the the company plays a dirty markting tricks on its paid customers, in order to coerse it customer to open accounts that are not technically necessary only to collect user data. So the app that worked fine for me, and which I bought with a perpetual license now stopped working, interrupting my workflow and requiring time to find another solution. Moreover, the company does not allow downloading the old version of the app.
Shame on you PDF Expert
I have been a mac user for the past 15 years. Up to a point Preview was enough for my needs.
But as my needs grew, I thoroughly searched for a software which would offer a wide range of tools, at a correct price.
I found that on PDF Expert. They offer a lot of tools and funcionality, most important for me the ability to scan/create your own sets of signatures+color stamps, or the ability to quickly reduce the size of a huge PDF.
Most importantly however is their very quick, very responsive customer support - and that really makes the difference because you understand that you are speaking with a person who respects the fact that you chose them as a customer.
The most convenient app for dealing with PDFs on my Mac. Great job!
The website is beautiful and so is the UI. It can fulfill me with the basic needs to deal with PDFs. But for advanced features such as OCR, it doesn't support.
Their scanner programme is just awful.
Crashes repeatedly.
Known problem but developer unable or unwilling to fix it.
Do not buy this unless you have hours and days of your time to waste....
Very bad behaviors from this kind of app, they provide a very easy way to install, promoting everything will be free, then once installed they tell you to purchase in order to save a file! and guess what? noway to uninstall easily!
