I arrived on Friday 26th to have my car serviced and to pick up a courtesy car, unfortunately the computer system was down, the gentleman organising things was very accommodating and calm, the chap in sales sorted out the courtesy car and Lauren (although new) was absolutely brilliant, nothing was too much trouble even though technology had let them down. My car was ready, everyone still had smiles on their faces and I left a very happy customer. Well done to all of the staff you certainly did yourselves proud!!
I expected better
Bought my previous car from Platinum Hyundai and was happy enough to return for my next car purchase. Unfortunately my experience this time was much inferior.
Negatives: I had made an appointment with the sales manager, but on the day was handed over to another salesperson (unknown to me, a trainee) who was of course inexperienced and lacked product knowledge, made unkept promises and missed some key elements of my requirements (some of the issues I experienced were blamed on their systems). On collection day, I found a paintwork chip, which resulted in the car needing to be returned to them, when the issue should have been resolved before I collected it. A loan car was offered to me with an expectation that I would pay for it! The charge was later waived.
Positives: I am very grateful that following frank and constructive feedback back, the sales manager along with the salesperson provided a number of concessions and worked hard to improve my overall experience of buying the new car.
After sales: Within a couple of weeks, the car has developed a loud foghorn noise from the rear (brakes?) and has been back to the dealer to resolve (I had to argue for a free of charge loan car).
They were unsuccessful in fixing the car and it has now been rebooked (with a 3.5 week wait) for them have another go at it. The service department has said they won’t provide a free loan car for me, instead offering a taxi, which inconveniently leaves me without transport for the day! To be quite fair, the sales manager has again offered to sort out a free loan car if my circumstances change and I need a car.
I hope that they’ll resolve the problem this time so that I can have a worry free driving experience, without the considerable inconvenience and stress of repeatedly taking the car back.
Sadly, each time there has been an expectation that I should pay for a loan car, which I resent since each time the car is returned, the issues are covered by warranty. I believe, in the circumstances, the offer of a loan car free of charge should be the default starting position, not an uncomfortably negotiated end.
I know I will get good service

Craig was excellent from start to finish. I went to look at a new car and within 30 minutes of stepping into the showroom I had test driven the car and ordered it. Craig kept me up to date with the delivery of the car and when I picked it up he went through a few basics with me and made sure I was happy before leaving with it. Would definitely recommend Platinum Hyundai.

The buying experience was excellent the staff at the Hyundai site were so friendly and helpful especially Justin good child he explained everything about the Hyundai car we were buying we had a test drive and were very impressed.he also explained about the warranty and we purchased Garda gold pack,Justin is very good
Good service and fair price.
The actual service was carried out efficiently and in the arranged time. We were very pleasantly received and there was a comfortable place to sit with coffee etc but no sugar!
Our only criticism was the extremely annoying radio which droned on endlessly with men discussing politics.After 3 hours we were very glad to leave. With hindsight, we should have said something !
Exceeded expectations
I was in a real bind because my auto handbrake button was about to break (common issue apparently). They were looking at end of the month dates but when I explained it was our only car now because my husband had just been made redundant, she was able to squeeze me in the next day. It was such a weight off my mind.

Once again Hyundai Swindon knocked it out the park. The transfer to my new car was made very easy and took no time at all. The car has been above my expectations.

The best thing about Platinum, after their very capable and approachable service team, has to be that they clearly kept me informed. I also appreciated the video clip of the car items that needed attention along with a clear explanation of work needed

Staff kept us informed on progress of Mot & service. I paid extra to have car valeted inside & out & they did a really good job of it. They insured that they had the part in to fit to my car at the same time as the service rather than having to make 2 trips there.

If the checksheet is anything to go by an awful lot is covered. The car was cleaned well and almost ready to go when I returned. Reception area was clean, comfortable and staff were friendly. Downside was so many cars outside, finding somewhere to park was a nightmare.

Was my cars first service from new. Booked easy, dropped off and back within a few hours. Emails sent to me on progress and a video for the inspection. Great service and efficient. Would of liked a valet but guess you don't get everything.
