While we don't verify specific claims because reviewers' opinions are their own, we may label reviews as "Verified" when we can confirm a business interaction took place. Read more

I’m not usually someone who takes the time to leave reviews, but I had to share my experience. Yesterday, I needed help getting my insurance coverage set up. I was having trouble doing it on my own and decided to call customer service.

I had the pleasure of speaking with an amazing representative named Chelsi Woody. As someone who works in customer service myself, I truly appreciated how knowledgeable, patient, helpful, and very professional she was. She made the entire process so much easier and less stressful.

Being patient, genuinely helpful, and professional isn’t easy for everyone, but she was exceptional at her job. Thank you so much again for your support — it truly meant a lot!

Pennie must be hiring customer service reps under the sea

Called, took forever to connect after a bunch of
"press 1 for..." and then having to enter like 5 pieces of sensitive information before even getting to a representative... All that just to connect with an agent that sounded completely underwater. Literally, couldn't understand a single word they said. Everything was muffled to a wildly unprofessional extent. If that was the way they've been calling customers of Pennie, I have NO idea why they haven't been fired or corrected yet. After flat-out telling them multiple times I couldn't understand a single word, I eventually thought I got them to agree to have someone call me back. I hung up, waiting for a call back, but nothing. 15 minutes later, a voicemail pops up, no ring, no notification, no missed call in my call log, just a voicemail that got pushed through from them saying they tried to call me back, but I didn't answer it.

Not sure what kind of games Pennie is playing, but this was just an absolute waste of my time to even ATTEMPT to connect with their customer service. It was so bizarre, quite literally the lowest-quality customer service call of my life so far.

When You Think it Can't Get Any Worse... (in comes Pennie)

I have never interacted with a more incompetent group than Pennie and IBX. They can't do anything you need. Will leave you with no coverage after theyve taken everything they can.

Absolute joke of tax payer money. Work with a broker so you don't have to deal with this monstrosity of a cluster.
