Tom undertook a level 2 survey on the property we are purchasing on 7th December 2023. Have to say his fee was money well spent. We were hoping as was Tom to find no issues and for his report to reflect this... Not to be be... Tom's survey report was very thorough and detailed and brought issues to our attention we had not noted. He not only emailed us the report but telephoned and discussed it in more detail. We felt really informed and were very pleased with his professionalism and his friendly and approachable manner. Would highly recommend using Pennine Surveyors.

Tom provided a very thorough survey at the property in question. Tom, a very pleasant and professional person, looked at all aspects of the house in question. He inspected a full range of issues as one might hope, from gutters, to damp readings, insulation, electrics, heating, etc. Impressive was the camera on the stick which enabled him to photograph all of the outside of the property, including the chimney stack in detail. He was at the property a long time, at the end of which he provided verbal feedback on key points. 24 hours later, we had a 75 page report, complete with his findings and recommendations, photos and data. I would certainly fully recommend Tom's services and this level of survey. It gave a full picture of what we would need to work on, and put our minds at rest on other matters.

Tom was very professional, likeable and efficient with the survey we required. He called us the day after the survey to let us know of his initial findings with us receiving the report that same following day. Receiving a survey report 1 day after the survey is amazing. During the phone call, Tom was a keen listener, was very attentive to our needs and showed genuine care for our house purchasing process. He also informed us to get in contact any time we needed his input for anything relating to the house no matter where in the process we were.

He has communicated clearly with us since we enquired about a level 3 survey on a property and has been really helpful. He sent over a sample report, which was outstanding in quality and structure, it was really easy to read. Lots of detailed pictures of the surveyed property with clear ratings on each aspect and descriptions/explanations.

After choosing Tom for the survey, he arranged the date and time of the survey with the estate agents and carried it out only a few days after our initial enquiry. The day after the survey he rang us to explain the main issues, their complications and solutions, and possible next steps. He also sent over the full detailed report shortly after the call. From the survey it was revealed that we need to carry out further checks on the property before making the purchase.

Since then, he has been supporting us with advice and recommendations for further checks. Tom had put us in touch with other specialists that could help us in carrying out the further surveys.

Excellent service

Tom was very quick to respond to my initial enquiry, the survey was carried out quickly. All the communication between surveyor, home owner and estate agent was done by Pennine Surveyors, and again everything was really efficient. I received the survey within a few days, it was comprehensive, clear and well presented in an easy to understand format. Tom called me to discuss any areas of concern that he picked up during the survey, which was really helpful as he was able to go into more detail and answer my specific questions, he offered his expert opinion on possible causes of a couple of the issues that he’d highlighted, along with possible remedial action and subsequent issues to consider. I’ve bought a lot of houses and I was very impressed with the service and the standard of their work from start to finish, I would use Pennine Surveyors again without a doubt and I would happily recommend them.
