Buying car insurance from peppercorn on line took ages hence 4 stars, but it was all very straightforward and well explained and overall was easy to do.
Easy to use chatbot system, simply laid out and wokrs through the questions, can easily revert back using the chat box if you want to change somethiing

If I could give Peppercorn a minus zero rating I would. God forbid if you are in an accident and waiting for clarification of your claim. I was involved in an accident on the 13th October, and my car is still sitting outside my house damaged. I am still none the wise as to what is happening with my claim. Peppercorn outsource their claims to the Davies Group. They are an absolute shambles outfit of a claims company. Check out their reviews online, they speak volumes. I have called the Davies Group approximately 20 times since my accident to get an update, as they never respond to emails or even send any to update you. Please avoid Peppercorn at all costs. I would NEVER insure another vehicle with them again. Appalling service from them and the Davies Group.

Was after renewal information but bit too early for that however the responses were quite intelligent

First time I have used a fully automated service to purchase my car insurance. It was easy to follow the online chat. Impressed.
Horrendous insurance company. My vehicle was hit by another driver on the 9th October 2023, it’s now the 1st January 2024, the car is still sat outside my house, unusable.
The communication and customer care is non existent, disgusting in fact.
I have now had to make an official complaint, and will now have to wait another 8 weeks before involving the financial ombudsman.
Stay well clear of this company, they’re an absolute disgrace.

I’ve read a lot of good reviews with customers stating how easy it is to purchase insurance with yourselves…yes, it’s very easy to take customers money, but when it comes to dealing with a claim your customer care is nonexistent. 3 months I have been without my car now, I even paid extra for a courtesy car, but the small print states only once my car goes in for repair and only if the garage doing the repair work has a courtesy car available, low and behold, no garage in my area will deal with this company so no courtesy car.
ANYONE READING THIS, HONESTLY, MY ADVICE IS TO STAY WELL CLEAR OF THIS COMPANY.
