Unclear relationship with Lending Box and repeated unsolicited approaches

I received several unsolicited business finance emails from jack at perfectbizfinance dot com. They were signed “Jack, Lending Box”, directed me to lendingbox.co.uk and used unsubscribe links hosted at inst.perfectbizfinance.com.

The correspondence did not explain the relationship between perfectbizfinance.com and Lending Box. This became particularly concerning when the sender requested three months of business bank statements and our latest accounts through an upload link.

The same email chain claimed that my company’s filed accounts showed a working capital shortfall of approximately £2,000 and proposed borrowing around £10,000, without discussing our current circumstances.

References to Christmas stock and trade businesses also seemed poorly matched to our travel business. An email on 20 September said, “I’ll leave it here,” yet further approaches followed in October.

I have not used any finance service through this sender. My concerns relate to the unclear business identity, presumptive financial claims and persistent marketing. Anyone requesting confidential financial documents should clearly explain who they represent and the relationship between the domains they use.
