We used Mike in January to cook a three course meal for my husband and I along with 8 of our friends at our home. A couple of days before he came he called to check that the wine had arrived (through another company) and to confirm all details. He organised a waitress to come with him for the evening. She was great and helped serve food, wine and the meal, she also cleaned and loaded the dishwasher seamlessly. Mike is very personable and was engaging throughout the meal, telling us what we were having for each course as we went. The food was outstanding and even though we were in the kitchen/diner whilst he was cooking, it was seamless and almost forgot that we weren't in a restaurant. I would recommend Mike for future events and I'm sure we will be requiring his services again.

Mike is a fabulous chef. The dinner he made for us (10 people) was superb in every respect. He was also exceptionally pleasant and straightforward to work with. We are actively looking for dates for a repeat as it was such an enjoyable experience. Highly recommended.

Mike was absolutely fantastic! Before the meal, Mike’s communication and service was great. It was really easy to talk through the menu options and work out with him what would be the perfect meal for my Dads 70th celebration. On the day of the meal, Mike turned up on time and fully prepped, meaning the whole experience had a great start! The rest of the evening continued to go fantastically well! The canapés, starter, main and dessert were all incredible! Especially the scallops and the steak, cooked to absolute perfection. Not forgetting the amazing sourdough. Mike was really professional, but also fun and engaging on the night. It was a fantastic celebration for my Dads birthday. Thanks Mike!!

This was the second time that we have used Mike (and Sarah). The food, service and hospitality is second to none!

A surprise for my wife's 60th birthday. What an amazing evening to have our family around us and experience such wonderful food and service in our own home. The food was incredible. Beautifully presented and fabulous flavours.

We had the 6 course tasting menu. We have eaten in many Michelin start places and this was right up there with the best of them.

We also opted to have the waitress that Mike can bring along. What a fantastic idea. We didn't have to lift a finger. She set the table, continually topped up drinks, served the food and cleared the table. The kitchen was spotless when they left.

5 star evening indeed.

I contacted Mike to cook for my family to celebrate my mum’s 80th birthday at a surprise location in the Cotswolds. He was so helpful and the whole experience from him arriving, cooking for us, cleaning up was incredible, his food was outstanding. I would recommend Mike to anybody and look forward to him hosting us again very soon. Thanks Mike for making the evening so special

Booked Mike to cook his 6 course tasting menu for my parent’s 50th wedding anniversary yesterday and it was such a special night. Every course was amazing - the stand out being the sea bass which was one of the best fish courses we’ve had. Mike was brilliant from start to finish, not only his cooking but his witty conversation and lighthearted banter. We all loved it - easiest 5 star review for a 5 star evening.

The dinner party that Mike cooked for 10 of us was amazing, and everyone was raving about how wonderful the food was. Everything went according to plan, the kitchen was left spotless afterwards, and we all had a fabulous evening. Would definitely recommend using Mike if you want to host a dinner party, but put your feet up and let a fabulous chef do all the cooking.

A wonderful dining experience, great food from a very talented chef. Nothing too much trouble, we will definitely use Mike again in the future!

We had a fantastic meal prepared by Mike for my 60th Birthday celebration. 16 people at a very grand holiday let and our meal fitted the occasion
Quality of the food was second to none as was the service. We had canapés and a 3 course meal. Drinks were served by 2 very polite friendly efficient waitresses.
Mike described each course to myself and guests. We had a lot of guests with dietary requirements but Mike catered for them all which I very much appreciated.
The quality of the ingredients was excellent and good value I felt.
I would definitely recommend Mike if you want a very special meal,evening to remember. Fabulous 👌

We employed the services of Mike for my wife's 60th birthday party. I hired a large house in the Lower Mill Estate near to South Cerney, Mike turned up with a waitress and introduced himself, he was so professional and easy to talk and work with.
He cooked the most amazing steak meal I've ever eaten, simple stunning. Everyone in my party was astounded with his cooking, I'm still confused how he organised, cooked and delivered such an amazing meal with so little mess or noise, He and his waitress were brilliant and the food was next level.
At the end of the meal they had cleaned up almost in silence leaving the place cleaner than when they arrived, unbelievable.......
Ive never used a private chef before but this experience was superb and I highly recommend Mike and the waitress.

We had booked an Airbnb in the Cotswolds for 8 people and I found Mike through a Google search. I liked the look of his menus and the fact that we knew who the chef would be rather than through an agency. Communication with Mike was always quickly answered and he kindly tweaked the chosen menu for us. On the day, he arrived on time and prepared a fabulous meal in a not very well equipped kitchen. He is very personable and professional and explained the dishes and interacted with the group. He also brought along a waitress, Sarah. I didn’t think we would need one for just 8 people but she turned out to be a great help and was very attentive and again very personable. A good addition to make the evening flow. All the guests greatly enjoyed the meal and we would not hesitate in using his services again. ‘The raspberry creme brûlée with peanut brittle was the best creme brûlée we’d ever had’ was the comment by the group! Thank you Mike.

The dinner party that Michael cooked for eight of us was immaculately presented, delicious and surpassed our expectations. Leading up to the event his communication was excellent and everything went very smoothly. Our Kitchen was left immaculate afterwards. The Waitress he organised was charming and very efficient helping make the whole evening a delightful way to celebrated joint 70th Birthdays.

Having had a private chef evening with Mike 4 or so years ago and been very impressed I booked Mike as a special treat for my wife’s birthday. We enjoyed a superb Summer tasting menu with 9 friends. All 6 courses were divine. It now means we have set a gold standard for entertaining.

Mike came along to cook for 12 of us in a Cotswolds cottage as a last minute back up plan as our original chef became unavailable. He was extremely understanding and keen to help out. He cooked us an amazing 3 course meal, and had a waitress who was extremely helpful too. The portion sizes were just right and the pace of which all food was served was perfect. Thank you for all your help in such short notice.

We booked Mike for a family meal for my mum's 60th. I'd never hired a personal chef before so wasnt sure what to expect, but Mike totally exceeded our expectations.
The 3 course meal, which we selected in advance, was absolutely beautiful (in both taste and appearance) - and included the best sticky toffee pudding I've ever had (and I've had a lot!). The whole afternoon felt really relaxed, and the kitchen was left spotless. The occasion felt so much more special than just being another table in a restaurant, and with food that good I'll definitely look to book Mike again for our next family event.
