John Hanly & Co. have been weaving tweed cloth in Ireland since 1893. Out suit is cut from their most characteristic Donegal Tweed; a traditional shamrock green, flecked with an array of brightly coloured yarns.

My only reservation (and why I only gave the product four stars) is because it came up too tight. I am a 44" waist (sometimes 42") but never until receipt of my order a 46" - to obtain which it was necessary to return the supposedly 44" and secure the 46" in a hurry as I was leaving the UK. I also like quality tweed trousers to include buttons for braces, though perhaps that's unreasonable in this day and age, so I have to get them sewn in and the belt loops removed.

I returned this item. I found the material a bit soft and thought it would not keep its crease. Also I was a bit disappointed that it wasn't made in Ireland.
