All hail Lord Trousers! On the one hand I'm more than a bit disappointed that it wasn't until I was in my sixth decade of life that I tried on a pair of moleskin trousers. On the other I couldn't be more pleased with them. I've seen it said that moleskins are warm in the winter and cool in the summer. I can attest that they are indeed warm in the winter, being at this very moment in a period of cold weather in which the temperature has often dropped into the single digits. If the claim that moleskins are cool in the summer is also true, my chinos and khakis are going to a charity shop, being very thin gruel indeed when compared to the glorious moleskin with its comforting heft. I'll add one other thing: I bought my first two pairs of moleskins from Peter Christian in November 2024 on a whim, adding them to my order for some corduroy trousers. My next order, which was for eight pairs of moleskins, was placed on 1 January 2025, that being the first date which SWMBO let down her guard so as to allow me to access to the credit card.

I think I found my new favorite casual trousers. The cloth is absolutely glorious, and I will be ordering more as soon as I am able to liberate a credit card from SWMBO's clutches. For those accustomed to American sizing, I suggest giving Lord Trouser's admonition to 'Size Up' if in doubt about the fit due consideration. I chose to do that and it saved me from the trouble of having to request an exchange. I'll note that I ordered both moleskins and flat-front corduroys at the same time. In my opinion the moleskins are a bit less roomy than the corduroys.

I would not order from Peter Christian. My order of the moleskin pants were at least two inches less (36" vs 34"). I cannot wear them and would not order again.

Please accept our utmost apologies for any issues experienced with the sizing at all, I am terribly sorry for this. As a UK company, we do occasionally find our US customers benefit from taking the size up to usual due to allowance differences in fit and sizing.
We would be happy to advise you further on this if you could please take the actual waist measure of these trousers and send this to our Customer Services team, so that we can check for possibility of mislabelling. We would expect the 36'' waist pants to measure at 18'' when lying flat.
