I have placed several orders with Petiquette as I am so impressed with customer service, quality and choice of products, - the leather is outstanding quality. The ID tags are well worth the money especially the dog face one which looks fab on my goldens. Products come well packaged and delievery is prompt.
Geoff is ever so helpful, in suggesting colours and advising accurate sizing, which suits me as I like collars and leads colour cordinated, and never can get sizing right.
Cannot reccommend this company enough, from a present and future life long customer.

Brilliant in every respect

Great experience, amazing communication from Geoff every step of the way, and the collars are beautifully made. This is true craftmanship, as good as it gets. You'd be hard pressed to find something of this quality elsewhere. I will definately be buying more
Sent to NZ in record time. Couldn't be happier. You might get a flurry of orders from staffy owners in nz Geoff!!

Bought a whippet collar for my dog

Bought a whippet collar for my dog. When it arrived it didn’t have the usual belt buckle fastening but instead a slip type one. He has managed to slip it off and eat part of it causing sickness and a trip to the vets. Very disappointed with poor design. Seeking money back!

Hi Louise

I'm very sorry to hear that you've had issues with your collar. You placed an order for a martingale collar, which does not have a buckle, that is the design of the collar. This is shown clearly in the images for the product as well as the product description, and is a well known collar design for sighthounds such as whippets. We make dozens of whippet collars with buckles if that's what you prefer, but you chose a slip on, martingale style collar, so I'm unsure as to why you're surprised the collar didn't have a buckle when it arrived.

Martingale collars are used to help reduce the risk of dogs from backing out from the collar, so if your dog has easily managed to slip out, then the collar is too large. If you had let us know this was happening, the issue could have been easily remedied and we would have remade the collar for you free of charge, but this is the first instance that I have heard from you, so if you don't tell us you're having problems, I'm not sure how you expect us to fix them.

Martingale collars, as with all collars should not be left on when unsupervised, a hanging strap in front of a dog's mouth is just asking to be chewed, and any foreign body that has been eaten can cause sickness.

Our martingale collars are incredibly popular with sighthound owners especially, so I am saddened to hear it hasn't worked for you. If you would like to contact me to discuss the issue, I'd be more than happy to help.

Many thanks

Petiquette Collars-Purchased a rolled house collar but…

Purchased a rolled house collar but it’s a very disappointing purchase. The blue colour is nice but whoever made it needs to learn how to make a proper rolled collar - without a flat edge!
I suspect Petiquette has created a good link with other dog product companies who promote them, & who rely on a piggy back “reputation” structure, but I would not purchase from them again.
I will return to a well trained & experienced leather craft worker in future.
I agree with another review about size guidance- it’s not correct.

Hi

I'm sorry to hear that you're not happy with your purchase, although I am a little disappointed that you felt that you couldn't actually let me know there was a problem so that I could find a solution for you.

Our house collars are incredibly popular, and the images on the website do show exactly how the finished collar will look including the "flat edge" as you put it.

With regards to the sizing guide, there are two styles of collar, each has a slightly different method of measuring which is detailed in the sizing guide. I'm not sure which style you ordered as you haven't contacted me, but it may be that you have read the sizing information for the other style than you ordered. I've made many thousands of these collars for customers all over the world, and in the vast majority of cases, people always comment on how the sizing is perfect.

If a collar does arrive and you find it is too tight or too small, all a customer needs to do is let me know, and I'll make a new size, no questions asked, as I always want the customer's dog to be as comfortable as possible.

Taking your comments and those of a previous reviewer on board though, I have slightly updated the sizing guide to make it as clear as possible that there are two different sizing methods, depending on the collar style ordered.

As for your comment about a piggy bank "reputation" structure, this is simply not true. I have spent over 12 years building Petiquette's reputation by attending shows, meeting customers and providing the best customer service possible, which has paid off as the majority of my new customers come from word of mouth referrals from existing customers. I don't rely on any other dog companies to promote my products. Unfortunately you didn't give me the opportunity to offer you any customer service as you didn't let me know there was an issue.

Many thanks for taking the time to leave a review,
Geoff

Superb products, brilliant service. I have had a number of collars from Petiquette. My dogs are very active and they have lasted brilliantly and are such high quality. I have just ordered another collar and had to change the order. Geoff was so helpful.
