Felt a little cheated

Not overly impressed. I bought some clothes for my baby during Covid and the delivery company returned them to sender because they couldn't find my address. Petit Bateau refunded me and made me buy them again and would not honour the discount code I had used previously. A few days later when I had paid full price the offer was released online again. I felt it was a little dishonest and I myself would have honoured the same discount if it were me. Also be warned 12 month old clothes in this French Brand are the same size as 3-6 Months in the UK. I now have clothes worth about £150 that do not fit probably because they took so long to reach me with the poor service! I wouldn't recommend this company and I will never buy from them again.

MORE CARE FOR ADVERTISEMENT AS FOR…

MORE CARE FOR ADVERTISEMENT AS FOR COSTUMERS
After placing and paying an order in Sale my mailbox and Google page received daily multiple advertisements yet never the garment even though they mailed me it was send. After three weeks I inquired, no reaction. Three days later I required again. From 4 (!) different departments I got a mail the where unable to send it to me due to the fact address wasn't right. The refunded the money...had the possibility to mail me 4 times to tell me so but where not able to mail me once to ask for the right address ????? The order was from the Sale 50%off, not sending it perhaps a misguiding way to gain new clients.

I have to search for another gift now unfortunately, the garment is beautiful, the client service extremely poor.
Perhaps an idea to leave customerscare also to the PR department, they are good

Appalling staff

Appalling staff. Utterly brain-dead and incapable of providing any help. They are trying to cultivate an up-market image but you get better service at Gap.

I’ve had two bad experiences

I’ve had two bad experiences with petit bateau. The first was when my friend spent £150 on clothes for me as a gift when my baby was born. Because we were in and out of hospital initially it took over 6 weeks for her to get the clothes gift to me. By this time the clothes were too small and I took it into a petit bateau store and they refused to do an exchange (even though I had the gift receipt) because it was over a month since she bought it. I ended up giving the whole load to charity never worn. I was gutted as she had spent so much on me for my baby and I never got to enjoy the clothes. This left me with a really bad impression of the company but I thought a few months later I would try them again. Placed an order for two gifts for friends babies and a week later still nothing has turned up and the customer service team only work Monday to Friday till 4pm.... I now have to go to the birthday celebrations for these babies empty handed. The delivery time was supposed to be between 3-5 days. I definitely will not be shopping here again.

Very poor customer service and experience

I’ve bought their clothes online and from the shop in Wimbledon village. On both occasions they forgot to remove the security tags. One was a gift for a friend who lived overseas so they had to find their way to the overseas branch of the shop to have the tag removed.

One the other occasion, I had the inconvenience of making a trip to their store (when the whole point of buying online was to avoid the hassle of travelling and paying unnecessary parking fee as there was no direct public transport) only to be met with a discourteous member of staff who, after having explained the situation, did not apologise in the first instance but was curt when asking for my proof of purchase. To top it all, there was no mobile signal in the store so I could not download the online purchase receipt. I was told to go outside the store (with baby in tow) to find a signal.
All this experience reflects badly on the company and I shall not be returning to the store ever again.

Very bad on returns

If you just want to see what they have to offer and don't know their products, this is not a company to experiment on. First, the delivery is not very quick, second: the time to wait for your money back if you make a return...? 30 days!!! I'm still waiting for my refund since the 26th of June!
