Dog miss diagnosed after spending £££s
Dog miss diagnosed after spending £££s, had to find a new Vet. Took 6 weeks to answer my complaint after 3 follow up emails, no recourse of action, was only offered a credit of £64.50 for initial consultation, even though blood tests were tainted. Customer service so poor, I was advised to go to the dogs trust when I complained I needed a second opinion and had run out of money to pay them anymore. No compassion that my dog was still sick, really poor practice, avoid at all cost.

Complete misdiagnosis of my dogs total dislocated hip despite 2 clinical assessments. Sent away with painkillers and charged 400 quid for the privilege.
Had to undergo urgent surgery today as injury considered old and unable to be manually reduced. Avoid this place and use local, independent vets.

Came on emergency Thursday night with a rabbit that has collapsed. Told he had shock from not having hay for 2 days because his delivery was late. He had the scraps from the bottom of the box so did have some hay. Cut a long story short the next day he has a seizure which was recorded on his bunny cam. Went back to the vets the Saturday to show the vets who told me oh he just slipped on the floor. The video clearly shown him fitting on the floor how was this guys a qualified vet? I was sent home. Within 30 mins of us being home he again had a massive seizure again I've filmed. He was paralysed after it and I was forced to call a mobile euthanasia vet to come put him to sleep. It's not a week on and I've just received another bills for 212 for the day we were sent away. In total 800 on a dead rabbit the debt is. All this when knowing I've been made redundant and I'm in mortgage arrears. This company will rob from the poor just to ensure they are making money. Please avoid them like the plaque !!

DO NOT GO TO PETMEDICS
I googled my dogs symptoms prior to going to Pet Medics at Wardley Industrial Estate, Swinton, and so I just wanted to know if he needed pain relief and what could they do for him. I was in with the Vet who had no clue and give me no answers whatsoever. 9 minutes of my time wasted then charged £85 consultation fee. The government needs to step in and regulate these “Rip Off Merchants” who pray on our love for our animals to extort money. Now taking him to Bolton Animal Trust for better care and proper treatment. I would have left NO star but wasn’t an option.

I called at 10:30pm to request an emergency appointment for my dog, Information of prices and Payment were rammed down my throat before actual questions about my dogs condition. i arrived there at 11pm to a totally empty waiting room then waited about 40mins in the none existent queue. The VET "Jonathan" then came out and we followed him to a room, I explained that my dog had been ill for 4 days and had been at my VETS for treatment inc Xrays - Blood Tests, tablets, and had been placed on fluids twice over a two day period but every test came back as negative and all ok. The vet Jonathan then explained he was planning on doing all that again even though i had fully explained that all tests came back negative and had already cost over 1k, i said a scan was needed to check if his bowel was twisted or blocked as my dog couldnt eat or keep down any water - his exact reply was " its 12pm so am i going to do a scan at this time of night - i dont think so" even though my Dog was shaking terribly and panting in pain and simply could not stop being sick, he was actually sick at the vets feet. he explained that if i left him he would re-do the blood tests. Re-do fluids and would possibly scan him tomorrow if his colleagues agreed ??? TBH im not sure this guy was even a VET, he was dismissive / Rude and showed absolutely no warmth or care for my Dog in any way. During my time in the room he didnt even look at my Dog, when i asked him why he was going to RE-DO the tests that my VET had already done he said " im not saying i dont believe you but i need to do my own assessment" - Or in other words he wanted me to spend another thousand pounds to get get me back to exactly where i already was ??? Long story short - I left with my Dog even though he was in a very poorly state and i nursed him all night myself with a view to take him back to my VETS this morning - this guy is in the wrong profession, he is Rude and dismissive and has absolutely no empathy for animals or the concerns of their owners, he did explain that there was 1 scan he was prepared to do if i admitted my dog and i asked if this would show if there was any blockage in the bowel and to my shock he said " Probably Not" - I do have to admit that i then in turn was also quite direct myself in my response to him - I then left with my DOG - I did not pay as he did absolutely nothing, he didnt even look at my Dog so there was no way i was paying the £260 they wanted for the privilege of sitting in their waiting room for 40 mins and meeting this absolute clown, No wonder the place was completely empty when i arrived as they are an out of hours Vet that does zero out of hours treatment - I would genuinely never go there again and i would also actively advise others not to either - This place is a JOKE ,,, on a positive note the lady on reception was very professional and friendly
AVOID Petmedics (Worsley)
AVOID Petmedics (Worsley). They're a cold-hearted conveyer-belt money-driven business, totally lacking any genuine care for animals. Our pet dog was happily running around playing with a large twig when it suddenly began choking and fighting for its life. The twig had broken up and part had gone down the back of its throat obstructing it. I desperately tried to remove it by inserting my fingers and in my panicked efforts believed that I may have pushed it or part of it further down its windpipe. We rushed to Petmedics (Worsley) hoping to have its throat examined and requested sedation and endoscopy to do a deep examination to check if anything was stuck down its windpipe.. This frightening experience - for us and our pet - was shockingly not treated as an 'emergency' and zero 'urgency' was shown. Our dog was placed in a room for three hours without any treatment or examination. After waiting this long we was finally introduced to the vet, who admitted the dog had just then resisted her attempt at examining its throat, to which we reiterated that we wanted it sedated and endoscopy carried out to ensure there wasn't any blockage further down its windpipe. She dismissed it and casually said to take it home and if it started choking again to bring it back. We insisted that she examine its throat by endoscopy, but she replied that if she did, it'd be the following day. Thereby, placing our dog at risk. After a futile plea that fell on deaf ears, we went to reception where we was billed approximately £185 for consultation and treatment. I argued that the vet openly admitted that she had not properly examined or treated our dog and had refused to do any procedures that night, yet, we was billed regardless. I was adamant that I wasn't paying this outrageous amount, just for our dog to wait in a room for three hours. To emphasise, it was the vet who had billed us, not the receptionist. So she was fully aware she was demanding payment for none-existent work. My threat of walking out the door without paying a single penny, persuaded her to accept only the £85 consultation charge. This experience was very disturbing, I can liken it to a baby almost choking to death on an object or swallowing a toy, rushing it to A & E only for the nurses to refuse to examine its throat/air-ways for any obstruction and saying take it home and if it starts choking, to bring it back. Then demanding an extortionate payment for work not done. This company and the particular vet involved has destroyed any faith I had in vets being in the job for animal welfare, clearly some are motivated by career/financial reasons. I actually regret paying the £85 consultation fee, because the vet didn't earn nor deserve it. I am angry and disgusted more than can be imagined at the callous indifference this vets displayed towards our pet dog in a time of 'emergency'.
I can’t give a zero but I would if it…
I can’t give a zero but I would if it were an option.
Duplicated charges on invoice, gave unnecessary treatments to increase cost up to insurance limit. Insurance company disputed and we were left with a bill to pay.
We then disputed this with Pet Medics who referred our case straight to debt collection company.
A disgraceful company.
Zero stars is what this company should…
Zero stars is what this company should be rated at. Please read the reviews on here and other reputable sites like trust pilot before taking your beloved pets here, I only wish we had. Our vets recommended Petmedics in an emergency for our cat. We took him there on the 14/8/23 to cut a long story short they recommended we put him to sleep and although this was probably the best for our 19 year old cat what proceeded was not. This company is all about the money and not the animals, there absolute outrageous prices are only compounded by the fact they then file false insurance claims on your behalf and your after your insurance company never refusing a claim with our regular vets they did with Petmedics, and it was due to them not claiming for euthinasia but claimed for a heart condition which he did not have. After making a complaint and being fobbed off I then made a formal complaint to again be fobbed off. Even while my complaint was being handled and on the day I received their response in the mail Petmedics hounded me by ringing me and texting me for the remaining balance even though their letter says please pay within 14 days. Disgusted does not come close. Armac will be my choosen out of hours vets now and my regular vets are going to be advised that they should probably do the same and not recommend these money grabbing hound dogs.

Money oriented no empathy and no dignity show to pets and family . No dignity in our pets death we are left traumatised
Took my cat in here at 8am
Took my cat in here at 8am. She had suffered an embolism and was in great distress. They were amazing. Treated us all so sympathetically and euthanized her within 5 minutes ending her suffering. She was 17 years old and could not recover I can't thank them enough. They sent me a lovely card with her paw prints on. and a little bag of her hair. They were wonderful in a very stressful situation. So compassionate
Extortionate prices
The care our pet received was sympathetic but fantastically overpriced. They charged for 3 scans when she only had 2 and all the other costs are extremely high. Just looking at her cost 4 times the cost of her usual vet and out of hours even more extortionate. We were charged over £1000 for a blood transfusion.
After she died we were hassled for payment and even though disputing the invoice threatened with debt collectors. Do not take your pet here unless you don't have any other choice. Your wallet will regret it
Profits before pet welfare !!
Profits before pet welfare !!! My dog got diagnosed with hip dysplasia, and he’s only 15 month old and will be in discomfort all his life , he needs loxicom witch is an anti inflammatory and is prescription only , the market price is £19.99 pretty much everywhere , but my vet wants to charge me £70 I think this is terrible , iv emailed them about this and been blanked , sorry but I’m not being held to ransom so the dog will probably suffer , or I now have to find another way to get him this medication! Terrible vet . The other reviews are spot on ! All they want is your insurance details !!!!!
AVOID AT ALL COSTS
AVOID AT ALL COSTS! Do not take your pet here. Our dog was panting, like a panic attack. We took her at 1 am as she wasn't settling, we were possible a little overprotective I know but we were worried. She was taken from us to assess. At first they told us she had a spinal problem and that they had put her on oxygen (she's a pug). They said they would keep her overnight and and they asked if she was insured. We received a phone call 6 hour later asking our permission to put her to sleep as she had had to be sedated and x rays showed lung cancer or pneumonia. They told me it was pointless bringing her out of sedation. However, I persuaded them to try. (She's 6. Now, I ain't no vet but I do know, if it was lung cancer I think we would have seen signs!) Low and behold...she's fine. 3 months later, she's still fine. Our vet...said she was fine, no noises from her lungs, no sign of pneumonia. Over £2000 the bill came to.
Disgraceful!!!
Disgraceful!!!! First question was do you have insurance!!! Suspicious!! My answer was no,
Was told ok come along now no appointments necessary!!!!! After a long drive with a sick dog I was told to wait, after an hour and a half I asked how long the wait was likely to be roughly as my dog was getting anxious and stressed!!!!! Was told I’ll check, came back and said “yeah unfortunately there’s a wait!!!! Obviously been told by the vet to go away and stop asking!!
They have no consideration for people or pets!!! From my experience all this establishment is interested in is taking as much money as physically possible!! Hence was asked if I was insured!!! I wasn’t and got chucked to the back of the list as it’s less likely to rinse for extra cash!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Place is a joke…. AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!!!!!! MONEY MAKING OPERATION!!! END OF!!!!
This was the worst vets ever
This was the worst vets ever, 16 months ago one of our little boys was very ill, the 1st thing that met us was a receptionist at the front door with a card machine asking us for £500, not let's get your sick boy in, we weren't even told he was dying until he'd passed away, we hadn't even got home and the bill was in our email box, STAY AWAY FROM THIS PRACTICE, THEY ARE PARASITES, if you need on out of hours vets please please go to VETSNOW AT WHITEFIELD NEAR BURY.
STAY AWAY FROM THEM!
Took our cat in (out of hours) clearly with breathing problems. Had current pet insurance. We were told the cost would be 'around £850' within 5 minutes of arriving! They ignored what we told them we thought the problem was. We had to pay the £99 excess before they took a look. Kept her in overnight then called to say she was fine. We picked her up and she was no different. We took her to our normal vet and paid £197 and they listened. The issue was fixed by washing out her sinuses and airways in 10 minutes. As the insurance co were slow in paying them, they then told the insurers it was a 'pre-existing condition'! We were then taken to court by Animal Friends! STAY WELL CLEAR OF THIS BUNCH
