Was going from day 1 to have my dogs groomed there. When they switched to Robin, everything went downhill. The last few times, full groom wasn't completed, they gave me excuse after excuse, blaming former groomer for lack of notes despite my saying EVERY TIME I DROPPED MY dogs off what I wanted. I only have the one now and specially requested that he be muzzled to have his nails done. I had to take him to the vet after last 2 appointments for nail trim and the shave around head was uneven but it's a dog. Whatever. I let it slide. This last time I when they deemed me confrontationall and dropped me as a client for demanding it be done properly, it was because Robin, outright lied to me, saying she completed the groom. Me: Did you muzzle him to do his nails? Her: No. Well, then you didn't complete the groom because he nips and WON'T LET YOU!!! Liar. The super effeminate "guy" working there is rude and kept interrupting like he knew anything about anything other than his own hair

I had my almost 3 year old yorkie boarded for 5 days, I watched the cameras all the time and was lucky to see him a few times even though he looked scared and stayed up against the wall. I also paid for forever connected so I could get pictures of him to see how he was doing, the first pics I got he looked very happy and that put me at ease, the next pics we got his eyes were red and swollen and he looked exhausted.

When we picked him up he smelled so strong of urine and had feces matted to his bottom, and on top of all that he now has kennel cough (despite being vaccinated) which I now see from many other reviews is a very common occurrence at pet paradise.

I called and spoke to one of the front desk girls and she was completely unapologetic and just said “yeah we have had a few kennel cough cases recently” maybe that’s something you should disclose before letting peoples babies stay there and put them at risk!

I trusted these people and let them know I had an awful experience in the past with boarding my first dog, who died while being boarded at a different facility, they put me at ease and I felt better leaving him there but never again will I and now my ptsd from boarding pets is even worse...

My dog seemed to had fun, but she is now sick. She has a bunch of Nats and knots in her hair and it's almost like there is gum in her hair. She almost through up. We went to daycare for 2 nights at pet paradise Charlottesville,VA.

HORRIBLE PLACE! I will never take my dogs back ever again. They both have kennel cough. You call no one answers the phone you leave a message no call back. They both were smelling so bad when I picked them up. NEVER AGAIN!

I told the cashier I was here to get Tinker bell she said she isn’t ready. I asked about the cameras when I went in and asked if I could see where they kept her Because I never saw her on the cameras. The cameras don’t show where the kennels are and it’s dark. So you have no idea like the one in Jacksonville where your pet is the lights are out at night. Real shady why even have cameras? They were supposedly doing her nails and the bath. I was told no I could not have a tour or just peek and see where they kept her. I was there 5:23 I was told they are just now doing her nails and bath. I sad ok no problem. Then I guess the assistant manger in a rush just rushed my wet dog out to me she is a shedder and a good bath was not given! My regular vet charges 25 for all because she is small that includes the works. She was wet and I mean wet fur flying stinking with no collar or leash practically thrown at me and she was peeing on me and the floor. I told her she stinks she said “ it was maybe because she was peeing” I’m like Really? All on me and the floor. This was horrible to have a wet dog fur flying all over and pissing on me and the floor. She didn’t even wipe it off the floor with three other clients there. This is totally unacceptable and unprofessional. I fortunately had her other hardness her service one and leash in hand Thank God because I took her out side to finish peeing. Then went back in another young lady said do you need anything I said yes her leash, collar with her rabies tag and food and treats. She got them. She said she didn’t eat except for treats. I appreciate they took my Dog I had a funeral to attend. But that experience was just unreal. I put my Tinkerbell on the back of my truck I had some dry dog shampoo spray in my truck and sprayed her right there in the driveway. Look at you cameras if you have some out there. Just unreal! Fur just a flying toweled her off she stunk I would have rathered them not act like they gave her a proper bath. Just leave her dry. A wet not washed properly Dog just stinks like a wet dog Dang! For 25.00 you give a dog a good bath not wet and throw at the client with no collar and leash. Even your sign says dogs must have a leash on, one guy look at me I’m like unreal how they just threw her at me. He said for sure. Another client at the desk was did they give my dog a bath he said at checkin he asked for a bath for his Shih Tzu the young lady said it wasn’t put down. I think they were just behind. Like I said this is Totally Unprofessional!

Today was the second time I took my dog to the Cary Pet Paradise. The first time was the get acquainted day and although I tried to see him on the webcam, I didn’t. In fact, I never saw any dogs on the cam the several times I checked it.
I paid for a bath that day and he was fine. I was told he played well and went to the pool early. I never saw him on the camera but figured I missed it.
Today I picked him up and I almost threw up in the car. He reeked of urine and a bug spray smell. He was wet but I was told the pool was closed for maintenance. When he was brought to me he was wet and I was told he had been in the pool. ?
I didn’t smell him until I got into the car. I have never smelled anything so disgusting. I scrubbed him and I still smell the awful stench. I didn’t receive any feedback on his stay other than he threw up earlier in the day.
I did not feel like my dog had been in the playroom, nor the pool. He smells so bad I think he was in urine all day. I will never be back.
It is disappointing because I thought this was going to be a unique place. I am very concerned that he breathed in all day whatever the chemicals and urine soaked rooms were that he was placed into. There is no way he could smell that bad unless he was around it all day. I won’t be back.

My six month old fully vaccinated puppy went to day camp at Pet Paradise-Houston/Hobby on June 28 and July 2. He died on July 7. He was lethargic on July 6 with bloody diarrhea and vomiting and was taken immediately to Urgent Care where he was treated for his symptoms. He died within hours. I contacted this location to let them know so they could alert other customers and conduct a deep cleaning. I left a voicemail message, and no one has contacted me.

Horribly bad. My dogs had pee and feces all over them. They peed outside the complex for like 2 minutes straight non stop like nobody was letting them out. They both had diarrhea, it’s been a week and one still has diarrhea. There not eating. They mope around and have a limp. I seriously want to hire an attorney. If I knew my dogs would have been treated this badly I would have never gone on vacation. They are horrible people there. They are completely fake. I called to complain and same old excuse oh no they weren’t mistreated I’m sure of it. Then I went to put a review in and saw all the same complaints it’s crazy please if you love your pet do not leave them at pet paradise ever please no matter what do not, you will regret it I guarantee you. Also my one dog has the cough , sniffles, sneezes and just feels like total poop. Oh and my one dog has a question mark on a tag on her so I don’t even know for sure if they were even in the same room together. This is the worse place ever for a dog. And I guarantee they never even went in that pool once. I can’t believe this place is still open. There’s a reason why they were the only ones that had an opening left last minute before the 4th of July. Literally I called within a 50 mile radius of Raleigh and that was the only place that had availability so just think about it for a second cuz it’s not worth it at all. DO NOT GO THERE PLEASE!!!!!!

It is obvious the staff does not pay attention to the dogs in day care as my pet came back with scratches on him a couple of time. They never even bothered to tell me or look at him before handing him over. I understand everyone is having a hard time hiring at this time in history, however, it IS clear they just care about the number of dogs they get into day care and not the well being of the animals. Was also called multiple times & told my pet was doing things he was not - we watched him on camera the entire day - I believe they called him out due to his breed even after the manager claimed "we love all breeds". I strongly disagree. I wish this were a better and safer place to take my dog, but I've pulled him from the wellness program completely. I'll find another day care that actually cares about the pets.

Just plain terrible. I have brought my 2 Dobies to Pet Paradise for years and loved their service originally but over the last 2 years they've become so bad that it is utterly unbelievable. You'll be given conflicting procedures and rules by the staff. My dogs are over 100lbs and their feeding rules only allow for so much food. My dogs are not overweight but and are healthy eaters and routinely eat over 2 cups of food at a time when they eat. There are so many things to complain about that I simply can list them all.

As proof of the horrible services from your first interaction with Pet Paradise, all you need do is call the main number and attempt to make a reservation. If you get someone in less than 30 minutes, I'd be willing to eat my hat on youtube.

Horrible place! Our dog came home with bad diarrhea! Had to take him to our vet and $100 later he is on medicine. He lost 7 lbs in 9 days. I talked to somebody and they are blaming it on me. They told me he had a loose stool and asked if they should give him a probiotic and I told them yes and i did tell him he did have a loose stool when he was nervous not a watery stool that he had when he got home. Nothing was mentioned when we picked him up so I assumed his stool went back to normal! Not sure how he bit his tongue but I also received a call that he bit his tongue. Obviously I cancelled his day camp that he was scheduled to have later in the week.

We left our dog for the first time at the Pet Paradise in Charlotte, NC near the airport this past weekend (Friday through Sunday). We checked the webcams in the public areas multiple each day she was there and never once managed to actually see her playing. Upon picking her up and getting her to the car we realized she smelled intensely of urine all over her body. The smell was so bad that we had to drive home with all of the car windows open and still got huge wafts of it when we stopped for a light. She is a husky with a very thick undercoat, so as soon as we got home we had to scrub her for about half an hour to successfully get the smell out of her coat. Within half an hour of arriving home we also came to realize that she had diarrhea. We initially thought maybe it was just a result of some anxiety, since it was her first stay away, but it is now Tuesday and she still has diarrhea. We provided food and treats for her, as well as explaining that she can not have anything to eat that contains gluten because it gives her diarrhea. We can only wonder now whether she was given someone else's food/treats or if the conditions which left her urine soaked also led to the diarrhea. Now we will likely be left with a vet bill since the diarrhea has yet to subside. I thought the staff were so kind and helpful, but this is completely unacceptable for a boarding service.

I boarded my cat for 20 days at Lakewood Ranch. Upon pickup I found no consideration for long term stay (should have asked ahead of time) and was totally surprised with extra daily charge of $5 - because they're extra busy! So I had an additional $100! When I questioned, I was given a day's refund of $30, not even the $35, which just tells me their business mission is to make money first and foremost. During my trip I watched on the Webcam quite often and never saw anyone giving personal attention to a cat, and there were many times when all the "cat condo" doors were closed, allowing no free time to any cat. I'm very disappointed, feel like I was extorted, and do not recommend this business at all.

Kennel cough! No response or follow up call!

DOG1) Came home with kennel cough! Also an open sore on his lip. As requested, they were separated while being fed, but our little guys was forgotten and left alone on the outdoor part of kennel for a couple hours. I could see him sitting in the corner up against the door waiting to be allowed back in. He’s a shy little guy, I felt terrible watching him there while trying to contact the facility to get him let back in with his “sister”. He also lost4 pounds while there. ($320 vet bill from vet ER after getting home)
DOG2) is an older dog with high anxiety disorder (also has a non-aggressive cancer). We left instructions for her daily anxiety meds with an increase in case of thunderstorms. When we picked her up, we were told she wasn’t given daily meds because they didn’t think it was necessary. Maybe just a miscommunication, but the rx label clearly states it’s daily dosing. She also lost weight while there.
Ive emailed 4 times about the kennel cough still no response from pet paradise.

Terrible place! Left our dog laying in her own pee filled blanket! She ended up contracting pancreatitis! They didn't use the pee pads, food, treats we supplied them at all. Charged us extra to to use their expensive food that she barely ate! Please do not leave your baby here!

I have taken my dog to the Cary Pet Paradise on three occasions. I really want them to be successful as they are very conveniently located and the people are nice, but every time I pick him up from Doggie Daycare he reeks of urine and his feet are yellow from urine. Once as I picked him up to put him in the car, I found he was covered in urine - I took him back in and they bathed him. It appears that the dogs go potty in the same area they are playing - there is no outdoor area or “grassy” area to potty in - and even though PP uses a mop to soak it up, the area is not cleaned and it is not sufficient to keep the dogs from walking in it. As they play, they jump on each other, so it’s not just their feet that are getting wet, it’s their backs from other dogs paws.
Please fix this PP! People don’t want to bring their dog home and have to give him a bath because he reeks of urine! It certainly affects my decision to bring him here regularly.

The first time my dog ever boarded at the pet paradise university location in Jacksonville Florida, he get really sick with kennel cough. The facility was no help with costs or anything. And I know for certain that they do let other dogs stay there without proper shots being done beforehand.. my dog is always at home and never around other dog other than when he boarded this time.

What do I like most?? NOTHING!!! The lobby is dark and dreary, and the amount of dog's barking made me wonder about their care!! Also, please look at the video of the "small" dog area that has big dog's too, and how it is very overcrowded, the big dog area was also very overcrowded!!
So here's my story. I was just turned away from my grooming appointment because we were a few minutes late!! Amanda the Asst manager was very helpful but said that the groomers set their own appointments and won't change! This groomer was not even willing to look at Izzy, and if he had he would have realized how easy of a job it would have been, since she is combed every day and is not a challenge to groom!! So here's the background on what happened. I spoke with someone about a month ago and signed up for a meet & greet at 9AM and grooming at noon. I had tried to call them this past week to confirm my appointment but after 5 tries and not having my calls answered or returned I thought that they did not want my business, I even tried to make contact through the website!! PLEASE NOTE, You cannot call this location directly and no one responds to messages!! I got a phone call from them today at about 12:15, my origianal grooming appt was set up for 12 noon, but remember that my meet and greet was set up for 9AM, so why didn't they call earlier????? I was able to talk with them after learning how to get through to the Naples location, they said that if I could be there in 20 minutes they could groom Izzy. So after my 25 drive, they turned us away which I think is VERY POOR customer service!!!! You could not pay me to go back into that place and I will make sure that everyone of my dog owner friends know what happened!!!!

I am very grateful to the staff at Pet Paradise, Palm Beach, Florida, for taking such great care of our Golden Retriever, Fluke, during his stay there. Robert, Adrianna, just to name a few, were absolute impeccable and showed great professionalism. We traveled from New Jersey to Florida on vacation and decided to board Fluke for a few days while there. We were worried how Fluke would adapt to a new boarding place, since he was used to being with us all the time as we have been working from home for the past year. At Pet Paradise, Palm Beach, Fluke was surrounded with a lot of love and attention. The staff personally called me to let me know how he was doing and to ask for advice on feeding him. In addition, I could watch him on their webcams, which put me at ease. All in all, an amazing place with great people, friendly and caring, which I highly recommend to anyone looking for dog boarding in the area. Heartfelt thanks!

They call themselves “Pet Paradise”, but for us it was more like HELL! If you’re looking for a safe place to board your beloved pet while you’re away, well look further as this is NOT the place.
Our baby went from there straight to a hospital where he underwent a very painful and costly surgery ($2,200.00).
Despite my daily calls to check on him while we were gone for 3 days, all I got was he’s doing fine when clearly he was not. He was in distress and his issue was never addressed or brought to a Vet’s attention. No pet parent should pick up their baby wet, terrified, fetid and a broken spirit... I wouldn’t trust this place and would NEVER recommend them to anybody as they’ve failed to do what they’ve been paid for!
