Bought a Line salt and pepper gift set…

Bought a Line salt and pepper gift set as a Christmas present.
Elegant and ideal for formal meals in a modern setting.
The pepper mill works fine but the salt mill adjustment is hardly effective. The coarsest grind setting produces mostly dust. Like normal table salt!
Peugeot responded to my criticism and asked for a photograph of the Rock Salt I was using and a video showing the grind I was complaining about. I also sent them a video of a medium/coarse grind with our everyday mill.
Peugeot responded telling me that the salt mill I have was performing as expected and could not approach the variety of grind sizes from my everyday mill which has a ceramic mechanism.
So there you have it from Peugeot themselves that their steel Salt grind mechanisms adjustment is inferior to many other common grinders on the market!
I would expect better from an apparently prestige company who trades on their history. Would never purchase again.

Pardon not writing this review in French. I received an excellent service from PSP Peugeot, regarding a purchase I did nearly three years ago.

The purchase was a salt mill, that broke and it seemed as if it had been faulty, since I bought.

PSP Peugeot in both France and Denmark, sent me another very quickly, and with a very kind way of handling this process all the way through.

If six, seven or eight stars were possibly in this review, I would gladly have given them to PSP Peugot 😃😃

Hidden Fees

Upon review of my bank transactions, I discovered that over and beyond the $150+ purchase price I was charged a separate fee of $4.25. Upon communication with Rosemary in customer service, I was told that they could not see this transaction so I sent them a screenshot of the charge and she told me they would need to communicate with France. Now several days later I’m told they still can’t see this fee. I spent 40 minutes on hold with my bank and they told me that it was indeed a charge by Peugeot for a “foreign transaction fee”. The website referenced Peugeot USA and the shipment came from the US. and there was reference made to free shipping, but no reference made to any foreign transaction fees. I know $4.25 isn’t much but it’s the principle of this thing. I already paid over $150 for Salt and pepper mill.

Order Rejected at Customs, No Response from Support

I ordered a product from their website and initially everything seemed fine. I received tracking information, but the parcel was later rejected at Stansted Airport. I believe this was due to an issue with the customs documentation. I have contacted the company multiple times to try to resolve this, but unfortunately I have received no response.

Customer Service Does Not Reply

I have yet to receive a reply to my customer service email asking to start a return, which at this point was sent almost two weeks ago. The website said it would be 3-5 business days for a reply, and that came and went without a reply. I have never experienced such horrible customer service from a (supposedly) reputable company before.

Awful returns from UK

Ordered a salt and pepper mill online. Needed to return one of the items to find I had to send it back to France. Ended up needing to pay postage equal to 30% of the value of the item! Felt completely ripped off, awful customer experience

Terrible

Terrible. Salt and pepper mills sent. £290 for the pair. Salt mill faulty on arrival. Require us to send back. Replacement sent. Hit with £40 charge in duty to have item. €10 off next purchase as a “gesture of goodwill”. Avoid.

Acrylic Salt Mill

I purchased a small set of Salt and Pepper Mills in Feb 2024. I find the salt mill somewhat sticky to operate. And three month in the acrylic body of the item cracked. Although the mill still works it mars the look of the product . I would never purchase an acrylic mill from Peugeot again as the price point is high for a little shaker. I understand you only warrant the mechanism so I guess there is nothing I can do and the store will not replace as warranty is only good with manufacturer. I only rated this as a 3 star because the it still lworks.

A "quality" product missing a "quality" after sales.

The after sales service of Peugeot Saveurs is indeed as bad as described by previous reviewers.
I used their online warranty claim form some 4 weeks ago, got an acknowledgement and ticket number, but haven't heard from them since.

Terrible customer service - amended review

I've amended my response now below. Original comment: The customer service team do not seem to respond to anything. I have waited for nearly 4 weeks for a response to a complaint and all i had was an automated response saying that if i followed it up to find out what had happened then i would go back to the back of the queue. Pretty unimpressive. Broken salt mill after less than 18 months. I don't think their manufacturing is very good...
Thank you for now responding to my complaints. Although i had to go on your FB page to get a response, i have now had one and it looks like you are going to put this right. Thank you.

Terrible Customer Service

I forgot to add my discount code (for new customers) and asked them to apply it afterwards. I emailed several times in the last two months and they just do not respond.

Horrible Customer Service

Customer service is horrible. They respond really late. I returned my faulty electric mill one month ago and still I’m waiting for an answer. Never got the refund. Never buy from them!

Customer service is appalling

Customer service is appalling. They do not respond in a timely way and though they promised a refund for the faulty pepper mill it has not transpired. Shameful behaviour.

Poor quality product

I bought the salt and pepper grinder 11 months ago. They started off well but after 8 months the salt one has given up. With the amount these cost you would think that you would get a quality product, unfortunately this is not true.

Excellent experience

I have noticed some negative reviews for Peugeot Saveurs, but having bought from them just once, from their French webshop which also works with English language, I have to say that I am quite excited - I experienced very good and fast service.
I already had one of their very nice baking dishes, and I wanted an additional one. A wrong delivery from a local webshop in Sweden, where I live, made me check the Internet for other places to buy it, and I found this shop; decided to try it.
What I experienced was good prices, easy shop navigation, and a delivery that I have never experienced as fast before: I ordered late afternoon/early evening one day, and I had the dishes (ended up ordering two) in my hands at home early the next afternoon!
The shop had handled the order immediately and ensured prompt shipping, and, despite that various courier services often during the last several years have failed me, this one, FedEx, managed to deliver much faster than they had been commissioned to.
Something like 20 hours turnaround time for an order from one country to another is not common these days!
Also, the dishes had been nicely packaged, an extra gift had been added, and I am now even in possession of a gift certificate, that was in the package as well, providing me with a rebate on my next order.
From what I have experienced, I will give a clear and unconditional recommendation of this shop.

Plastic parts in the food

Guest and myself had plastic parts in the food. 10 years old Mill. No guarantee because in the opinion of the Customer Service this has something to do with Casting. Nevertheless. How a Mill can be designed like that?? 25% off for the next Mill will not create more Trust in the product. It was an embarassing experience together with the guests.
