Dirty. No bedding, no service, no maintenance, smug with it.
We booked a flat in River Court Apartments Cambridge as we were arriving in the UK and needed to quarantine. On arrival we found that there were a few towels but most of the bedding and other things were missing. Not even any coat hangers. We phoned and asked for the missing stuff and were told it would arrive.
The next day, a Sunday, we found that the shower tap is broken. No cold water, only scalding hot. It is impossible to take a shower. We phones again and were told "We will try to get someone to look at it. We will call back in half an hour." We called again several times and were told the same thing. Each time was a lie.
As the day went on we worked out that company policy is to fob off the occupants and promise or deliver nothing. My wife contacted the owner via LinkedIn and was told smugly "there's nothing you can do."
We can't legally move because we are quarantining. This company manages so much property in Cambridge that it has an effective monopoly and can do what they like. Their business model is neglect.
Discrimination - Rude Staff
My daughter and her boyfriend pre-booked the Royal Hotel in Kettering for her 20th birthday, they had turned up with another couple who had pre-booked a room, the idea was to have a meal and a couple of drinks, masks were not adhered to in the hotel but they wore them, her friends were permitted to check in and shown to their rooms while my daughter was made to wait in the lobby, 3 hours later they were told that there was no rooms available because it looked like they were the type of people to party therefore turned them away from the hotel, reasons being my daughter having streaked pink and orange hair and her boyfriend who had a partial neck tattoo they didn’t like the look of them, this was followed by rude and inconsiderate comments, the only exception for entry was to pay a £200 deposit for a room which cost £41. They then had to travel to another hotel in Rothwell which cost them a taxi each way costing £24, they left that hotel a good review saying that the staff were outstanding along with the service.
Just because our daughter has dyed hair, a solid job and car does not make her a thug
I just can’t believe that a large chain like Peymans can behave in such an inappropriate manner discriminating with a persons looks and appearance, save your money and book with a more reputable chain
