Charlie cbt refresher
The tutors were great 10 out of 10 would recommend to everyone.
The instructors are very helpful & considerate when teaching. The bikes are well maintained & safe, as well as the space used to practice on the motorcycles. Motorcycle gear is also provided if you don’t happen o bring your own.
It was a good day. I had fun during the training. Left smiling.
Great experience, passed from the first attempt. Enjoyed learning from Harry, he’s a great instructor.
I just passed my CBT in Sidcup. I had Chris he was great! He gave easy to understand training.
Phoenix motorcycle Training , are really professional I was so nervous and they made the day brilliant I learnt so much on how to ride safely, and the right clothing to wear when you ride , going out on the road was fun as well as riding safely . I would recommend phoenix to every person wanting to learn how to ride safely ! So highly recommended .
Today I got my big boy bike licence! From CBT all the way through to my Mod 2 test, Phoenix have been absolutely brilliant.
Everyone at Sidcup couldn't have been more welcoming and supportive right from the minute I walked through the door. The warmth and humour made me feel right at home.
The bikes are excellently maintained.
The training was delivered with style and, having never ridden before the advice and teaching got me from zero to full A licence in 7 sessions.
When my Mod 2 test was cancelled by the DVSA, Phoenix bent over backwards to find me another test on a date that I could attend in the school holidays as I am a teacher.
Thanks to everyone at Phoenix Sidcup.
Many many years since I last rode a motorcycle but all the staff, especially the two instructor’s I had, made me more than comfortable relaxed and confident in my rusty abilities.
Very pleasant ,relaxed and calm atmosphere with very knowledgeable training instructors . A very welcoming place to start a new life experience ( or a rusty revival of an old one). I’m Looking forward to furthering my motorcycling Journey with Phoenix .
Training with Phoenix was genuinely transformative. From the first session, I felt supported and challenged in all the right ways. Chris doesn’t just teach precision riding techniques - he coaches you through them with patience and insight. He spotted and addressed bad riding habits with ease and patience, helping break old patterns and build safer, smarter skills. Every drill and scenario was purposeful, sharpening the situational awareness and hazard response in real time. It was empowering to feel confidence grow with each ride. Chris has a gift for unlocking your potential and making you believe in your own capability. I’m grateful for the journey and the skillset I now carry forward. Thank you, Chris!
I did my CBT at Phoenix Motorcycle Training Centre Sidcup, and it was a great experience! The staff were really helpful, and everything was well-organized. A special thanks to Paul, my instructor — he’s an amazing person and a fantastic trainer. He taught with full effort, patience, and made sure everyone understood everything clearly. Highly recommend this place.
A day at Footscray - Trail-Riding Level 1
The course was run by Steve and John, who were very solicitous towards this particularly ancient person. Kitting out was good, and protection more than adequate, but just getting on and off a bike was the first problem, solved by giving me a lowered 125. The initial session on the training ground was a bit of a rude awakening for a very rusty rider - first falling off!
Introduction to the trails was bit tentative but enjoyable despite various falls (all low speed and quickly re-mounted after helping me up!). The dry going was useful. but I was slow, and the others were having to wait. After a few trails Steve and John decided the group should be split up, with John acting as my minder, and avoiding the more difficult trails. Continued thus after the lunch stop, and finished up on part of the Pilgrims’ Way. Actually very enjoyable indeed, and covered a lot of trails and by-ways I would otherwise never experience.
Back to Base, and pleased to stop - it is pretty tiring - but very pleased indeed to have taken part. Look forward to another level 1 session, perhaps after some more current road-riding practice.
Can’t recommend Steve and John too highly, they are very good at the roles of both trainers and minders! John in particular was very patient indeed.
Thanks a lot to them both.

All instructors were super friendly and helpful. They were the reason I passed 1st time both my Mod 1 and Mod 2. Thank you!
I went from having been a pillion for a couple months to being a rider within a day of training. Didn't get it the first time since my clutch control was bad (completely my fault hahaha), but Sean and Wynne where so accommodating and lovely to train with.
I will be back to do my full A license when I turn 24.
I look forward to training alongside the team again.
I just got my full motorcycle license after training with Phoenix. I passed both Mod 1 and Mod 2 test on the first time with a clean sheet and this should say everything about the level of training you’ll receive. Thank you Phoenix!
The trainers were superb- absolute height of professionalism even when I had some bother with my photocard license. The training was well paced and instructions very clear throughout. I want to get further with my motorcycle training and will be coming back to build on my CBT.
Great instructors, very friendly and they make sure you’re ready and comfortable to be on the roads
I can’t recommend Phoenix Motorcycle Training at Foots Cray highly enough! From start to finish, the team made the whole journey to getting my Full A licence an absolute pleasure.
A massive thank you to Mark, Sam, Chris, Nick, and Harrison – each of them played a huge part in building my confidence and sharpening my skills on the bike. Their patience, professionalism, and clear way of teaching made everything click into place.
Thanks to their guidance, I passed both my Mod 1 and Mod 2 tests first attempt, with completely clean sheets – something I honestly never thought I’d achieve! The training was well-structured, supportive, and always focused on safety as well as enjoyment.
If you’re looking for the best place to train, look no further. The Foots Cray team are outstanding, and I couldn’t have done it without them.
I don’t usually leave reviews, but this one’s a must!
I’ve been with Phoenix for years — right from wobbling through my first CBT to smashing my full A licence. The team’s been amazing; they’ve literally watched me grow.
Massive shoutout to Mark and Sam at the Erith branch — absolute legends! I started my journey with Mark and wrapped it up with Sam, two top lads who somehow managed to keep me upright and confident on two wheels.
If you want a place that’ll have you learning, laughing, and leaving as a proper rider (and maybe a better person), Phoenix is the one!
