This company doesn't clearly indicated where the photo is shipped from and what currency it charged me. I am in Singapore and I realized later on that the cost is in USD and is shipped from US. Of course, it missed my timeline. Totally useless and waste of money.

Best app you will waste a lot of your life trying to take your own photo without this app.

Unfortunately, I would not recommend this app for New Zealand passport photos.
I followed the instructions carefully and submitted the photo created through the app with my passport application, believing it met the required passport standards. However, the passport office reviewed the photo and rejected it.
As a result, I had to arrange another passport photo through a more reliable source and resubmit my application, which caused extra time and inconvenience.
If an app is designed to help customers create compliant passport photos, the checks need to accurately match the official requirements. I hope the service improves its accuracy so other customers do not experience the same issue.

Excellent service directly from their website. This is my second time using this service. First time was for a passport renewal, second was for a visa. Online reviews were quick and complete. After receiving my hard copies and digital copy, I ordered more hard copies through their website without delay. Photos were mailed via USPS and arrived in about a week. My photos were accepted by the government, so no problem there. I did not use their application, since my photos originated with a local drug store, so I can't judge the app. It was easy to use their services and I recommend them.

app is simply easy to use with fast results. Absolutely loved the convenience and affordable pricing. I bought three passport photos, for my parents and myself. In less than half hour I had digital passport photos, and processed all three passport renewals online. Highly recommending it to everyone!

Ease of use and quick response

The picture came out exactly how I wanted it, the process was easy, the service was great. I was skeptical at first not knowing what to expect but they exceeded beyond my expectations.

I submitted my passport photo got declined and photoaid saved the day, from the comfort of my own home. They were able to adjust it to meet requirements and check it before resubmitting. Will be using again.

Easy to use and less expensive than going to the pharmacy to get passport photos. Uploaded within minutes for online passport renewal.

Very fast and no problem with passport office

There were to of us. One was 13.99 and the other was 19.99. Why? I asked for a refund of 19.99 as we did not complete the use of the service. No refund.

Initially I thought all was fine as had a couple of pictures rejected for not passing the standards required and was able to retake and resubmit. However when I made my passport application with a photo that was deemed OK by this service it was flagged as being a problem and rather than have my application rejected I ended up having to take another and submitting that. So all in all I paid for a photo check that was not up to standard. Very disappointing and a waste of money.

I am updating my review to 5 stars due the the exceptional service I received following my complaint. PhotoAid reached out to assist with getting a photo that would work for my application, however by then it was too late for me as I had already sorted my passport out. They therefore refunded me in full. So a big thank you to Urszula for that and noting that should anyone else have an issue it is worth contacting them to sort it out for you.
