When we booked, we clearly entered the return flight as “TBA” and added a note: “Exact timeframe for return will be communicated.” Despite these notes, a driver showed up at 13:30, way too early for our flight. We contacted the company and told them there must have been a mistake on their end and that our note had been ignored.

Their response via WhatsApp:
“We can wait until 14:30 only, please note that we won't be sending another vehicle again. Thanks for your kind understanding.”

We tried to escalate this to management level – but “Rob” , the manager, was incredibly unprofessional. He called me, laughed, acted like there was nothing we could do anyway and that it wasn’t their problem. “Good luck” were his last words before he hung up. Well, there is something I can do, and that is warn others from using the company. He even said that if I leave bad reviews on the internet, they will just be deleted anyway – I’d really like to see how he plans to do that.

Also, the outbound service was not very good. We waited 45 min at the airport before our driver showed up. The driver drove like “Mad Max” – during the trip the car’s trunk opened mid-drive and our baggage almost fell out.

Do yourself a favor, use another company or just get a Grab/Taxi. You’ll pay a lot less, you won’t have to wait, and you’ll have an overall better experience.

We will claim the charges with the credit card company.

We booked a return transfer with Phuketshuttle.com and clearly wrote in the booking comments that the pick-up and flight times for the return journey were placeholders only and that we would contact them once our actual flight was confirmed. At that time, no return flight was even booked.

Despite this, a driver suddenly showed up at our hotel around 13:30, insisting on picking us up at 14:00 based on those placeholder times (14:00 pick-up / 17:00 flight). These times were clearly marked as provisional for the way back, not a fixed booking. When we asked to move the pick-up to 20:00 – exactly as indicated in the comment – the company flatly refused to accommodate this.

The sharpest part of this review refers to how the company handled this return transfer: The “manager” then called us back and spoke in an incredibly condescending tone, trying to shift the blame for their mistake onto us instead of acknowledging that they had ignored the written instructions. There was zero willingness to listen, zero flexibility, and absolutely no sense of customer care.

Considering the relatively high tourist price they charge for this service, this kind of behaviour feels particularly disappointing and unacceptable.

Sadly, this attitude already fit the experience of our arrival transfer:
- The driver was not at the airport when we landed.
- We had to wait around 45 minutes in the heat with no clear information.
- Eventually, not a proper shuttle but a regular taxi turned up.
- The taxi driver handled our luggage roughly – and within the first 500 meters, the trunk flew open because the bags had been loaded carelessly and not secured.

On top of that, the driving itself felt plainly unsafe. We experienced several hard, sudden brakes and an extremely aggressive driving style, including speeds of well over 130 km/h on a road signed for 60 km/h. Yes, we arrived quickly – but we certainly did not arrive feeling safe.

In short:
- Clear written instructions for the return transfer were ignored
- No ownership of mistakes, only blame pushed onto the customer
- Rude, condescending communication from management (especially regarding the return journey)
- Chaotic pick-up process and poor organisation
- Careless handling of luggage
- Driving style that felt genuinely dangerous
- And all of this at a relatively high tourist price

For us, this was a clear “never again”.
I would not recommend Phuketshuttle.com and its other branches to anyone who values safety, reliability, or even basic respect from a service provider.

Phuketshuttle.com is a super good, honest and trustworthy company. On time, very friendly staff and drivers. Have only used them once for transfer so far but will definetely use them again. They took my wife and me from Phuket airport to Patong, Phuket. A great experience.
