Been using PIA VPN for a few years now and its always been ok, up until now. Its suddenly gone bad. One minute it connects, then disconnects. Then it asks you to log in again, you usse the same log in details which were successful last time, now you get an error stating that the credentials are wrong. Have contacted customer support, who dont really help in any way. I paid upfront for 3 years, which is looking more like I made a big mistake. I think the only thing to do is try another VPN supplier. Really P****D off with this now.

Worked well for the trial run. After i paid for their service, i can no longer connect!

The vpn works reasonably well but they won't let you cancel subscription or delete account. Tried to contact them. They don't let you connect!

What a bunch of ignorant people the support team are. A scam email was sent to them purporting to be me and changing my email to a gmail account - which I have never had and will never have. I replied to the scam email and of course it came back as non-deliverable. The so called support team 1) did not check with me reagrding that email and 2) Took no notice of what I have said about the matter and have ignored the screen shots showing I'm the only one who could have sent them. So the screen shots show that a scammer could never have gained access to my pc to do this while I am online. And they had the gaul to ask what was the last 4 digits of the card you used to purchase PIA and what is the Purchase order number???? WoW!!! I said that was YEARS AGO how on earth am I going to get that information? And they replied ask your Bank!!!! WoW!!! Banks don't keep those sort of records. Is there anybody out there who can remember or have saved the last 4 digits of every debit card they have ever owned??? Apart from that, they have sent 3 emails to my correct email address and STILL THEY DON'T BELIEVE THE REPLY CAME FROM ME - AND THEY WON'T SEND ME A RE-SET PASSWORD EMAIL UNTIL THEY HAVE VERIFIED THE ACCOUNT!!!!!!!!!!! WOW - there are videos' on youtube "Dumb Americans" This lot should be on there for not being able to read ENGLISH.

Jaypee (I'm sure this is a false name used to illicit a sarcastic laugh) and JM and Ryn are now sending me the same ridiculous, stupid and downright rude questions to illicit a rant from me.
I know of several people - now including me, who have cancelled their PIA account due to the vile people in PIA Support - That is if they exist. It may be just one who is taking the p****.
I have just checked out VPN's and found out this:- QUOTE - A VPN does not make one's Internet use private. Users can still be tracked through tracking cookies and device fingerprinting, even if the user's IP address is hidden. END QUOTE.
So as it has been said in other reviews PiaVpn appears to be a scam and needs to be avioded at all costs.
If they lose too many customers - this is the sort of company who will cease trading, close down, then open up a new company with a new name, and do the same. - allegedly.
So beware people - happy surfing - do your homework and check out 'hack the hackers' on a well known online video sharing platform.
I am not allowed to use the language I want to on T.P. in case the little darlings get upset. P.S. I am a member of the F.S.U. Free Speech Union.
Therefore all of the foregoing is my opinion on my experiences.

I was looking for a VPN service and came across privateinternetaccess. It all looked good and well and was one of the top rating services however, what a crap experience thus far.

Firstly, I took advantage of the 1 year subscription, I went to pay and checked out, then got a message that my payment declined but the money was taken off my bank account.

I then proceeded to contact support and wow, what slow service this is. Its now almost 4 days later, I still dont have an answer of whats happening. I have provided proof of payment but nothing.

I would NOT recommend anyone to use this service and reading through all the reviews, I can honestly see why.

I took out a trial subscription on the 12thSeptember 2024 and cancelled the subscription a few hours later as it was not compatible with my TV. They charged my Amex card on the 12th September and (having acknowledged my request for a refund) still haven’t refunded me. They are very good at sending out emails saying that they are dealing with the problem and giving out “ticket numbers” but not refunding any money. Are these guys for real? Meanwhile, I’ve disputed the payment through Amex. I await the outcome with bated breath.

I have 1 year contract that I am going to cancel asap. The VPN loses connection randomly, and it may hangs trying to reconnect blocking your entire phone until you restart it. The kill switch is a hit and miss... If you don't remember your login details and try to log into their website by phone you may not even be able to reach it. I requested a logo link by email and I cannot open via my phone...

Total joke of a company.

I used them for 1 year, cancelled my subscription (they acknowledge my cancellation) but they still charged me for the renewal more than a year later.

Their reply was "oh we must of somehow got disconnected". What a joke. It's a full scam & a real hassle to get your money back.

They did reply to me but only told me how to turn off my subscription which I'd already done.

Avoid like the plague.

I only don't understand how this vpn can get good reviews on various Web sites as it's total scam and not working properly! It's not even possible to contact support! When you chose reason to contact (for instance "technical") it doesn't do anything anymore. It fails to connect to various WiFi when even free vpn can connect. Waste of money and typical scam!

If I'm allowed to give a negative star, I'd do it for sure. I have been using this since late August 2023. Just after 1 month and a few days, it gets blocked from geo-locked streaming sites. Tried several times with customer service, and they said as per policy assurance for streaming sites. Not only that, they did not cancel my subscription and refund.

For my usage PIA is better than Nord. PIA connects faster, and has less updates to app.

This VPN randomly drops, and you are not notified when you are no longer on the VPN. You have to constantly watch your VPN to make sure you're still connected. Also, there are many sites that will not allow me access if my PIA VPN is on. This includes all of my financial institutions, which is one of the most important transactions to be protected.

Does not work for the BBC Iplayer despite their support staff telling me it does. So if you're looking for Geo unlocking do not use this VPN. Their support is quick and theyve processed a refund for me.

The company entices you to commit to 2 years subscription by offering big discounts. There is a good choice of VPN servers but the deal breaker is that with the VPN switched on I have to go through pages and pages of picture Captchas, and everyone knows how awful that is. Sometimes it takes 3 or 4 minutes of tapping squares just to get to be able to use the internet. Their support is useless. They basically just say "yeah, tough luck". So they know it happens and yet they don't mention this in the sales pitch! Permanently turned off now to keep me sane! Waste of money.

This is a great company, their connections is good and strong and awesome

I have been using PIA for years now. It has worked well for me. I do have some websites that limit my access with it turned on, but 99% of the sites work just fine. It allows me to access content that might not otherwise be available in my area, such as sports broadcasts.

I had trouble setting up one of my Firesticks, and the customer support had me up and running in no time.

Had a pretty terrible experience with all the other customer service agents until I connected with Romel. Was beyond helpful and it actually renewed my faith in PIAVPN - been a customer since 2015/2016 and I've seen the service decline. they need to give this person a promotion raise or perhaps put them in charge of the whole organization which was otherwise horrible experience. Did they 'fix' my issue, not exactly but they found a solution and work around without any hesitation. I am very impressed with this agent.

I was conversing with Romel. I'm very new to VPN and he explained everything to me so I can understand and he was very professional. Great tech support from Romel.

Doesn't connect on firestick. Absolute waste of money

This has to be the worst I have tried EVER. Absolutely customer service that tries to stall you longer than 30 so they do not have to give you a refund. I had no connection and there is no working client for the firestick. I don't know why I didn't stick to Nord or express vpn but I thought this would be ok for the price. How foolish was i..its a ABSOLUTE RIP OFF
