I ordered a custom cabinet from Pickawood in mid-December last year. Unfortunately, as of now (March), the order still hasn’t been delivered. It has been more than three months since I placed the order.

What is most disappointing is the lack of communication. I have not received any clear update or proper response regarding the delay. Every time I try to follow up, there is simply no concrete information about when the cabinet will actually be delivered.

This has caused significant inconvenience because other renovation work in my house is waiting for this cabinet to be installed.

Based on my experience so far, the delivery time and customer communication have been very poor. I hope the company can improve its responsiveness and provide clearer timelines to customers in the future.

The bookcase is beautiful, moreover better than expected.
We have a small room and therefore we needed a bookcase with a particular measures (19 cm depth). We received a lot of help in the design. Caroline corrected an error I made with the measures. Thanks

I appreciate that the company is very busy and they have eventually got back to me with a quote for a table, however, I am still waiting to receive my wood samples which I ordered some time ago.

Excellent website to permit preparation of desired bookcase design . Bookcase was completed and delivered within the agreed timescale . It complied exactly with the design requested . Quality of the product is excellent .

Good communication between myself and Pickawood during the design process. Very happy with the results. You can pretty much design whatever you can imagine, and a huge choice of materials catering for any budget. My own choices were quite pricey but it’s good solid furniture, and more than one year on I’m still delighted with it.

IKEA for professionals. A great alternative to hiring a carpenter or buying an expensive bespoke unit.

Easy to use website and design tools, high quality materials and good delivery.
We absolutely love our bespoke bookshelves and they look great in situ.
Instructions took a little bit of working out but once you get the gist they go up pretty easily.

Easy to design online with exceptional customer service when called. Delivered ahead of expectations and solid build.
My only criticism is that the construction plans were too small to read as were the labels on each item. Required a magnifying glass and time spent relabelling all pieces legibly. Some parts were miss numbered making construction difficult but as this was large but uniform design was relatively straightforward once you figured out the basic patterns.

The furniture was well and accurately made, arrived roughly when promised and had good assembly instructions. My only complaints are that the bracket to fix the furniture to the wall was not included (although some other small metal pieces not listed or relevant were) and a large (1.8m x 58cm x 16mm) sheet of melamine-faced MDF was included, not part of the furniture and a nuisance to store or dispose of.

First the positives: an easy-to-use website, easy payment, good communications with regular order updates, excellent packaging, quality product (think Ikea on steroids).
Now the negatives: the regular order updates I received were incorrect: (How is this possible using a computerised system?) On enquiring why I had not received my order, It turned out that it was not actually in production/ready to ship. After giving them deadlines accompanied by threats of initiating a chargeback via my card provider, they were suddenly able to provide a mutually-acceptable guaranteed shipping date and gave me a generous, partial refund for all my trouble. The other negatives would be that, although they send an assembly drawing with the part numbers on it, the individual components are not marked, so it's not really of any use. In addition, the assembly instructions are generic and therefore hopeless. (It's easier to rely on intuition and past experience with similar Ikea items of furniture since the pegging system seems to be almost identical but better quality.) Finally, they don't tell you to allow a couple of inches clearance between the top and the ceiling for assembly purposes. I didn't, and had to use a workaround in order to fit the top.
I think the moral has to be: buy from them, but watch the details of the design for constructability in the available space, and be on your toes for any backsliding on estimated delivery dates.
On balance, I would use them again, if only for the quality.

Great team, planing and delivery everything was great, very professional friendly and knowledgable and our wardrobe looks fab, we’re very happy. Quality is top and service too. I don’t like writing reviews straight away but it’s been over a year and we’ve had no problems whatsoever, would definitely recommend Pickawood
