Out of a lot of online guitar programs, all with very explicit strengths, this has been the best for me so far because of its very structured approach to learning: I can spend 20-30mn going through a day of practice knowing I am focused on one pathway for a few months, and this half hour often expands in more than an hour of playing by applying those concepts to other tracks once I'm up and running.

As a mostly self-taught amateur musician bombarded with a lot of approaches, lessons, sales, ideas, training routines etc online, Pickup Music allows me to cut through all the noise and focus on concepts that I should have spent some time with years ago but never properly did so. I can see myself continuing with this website for a year at least.

I’ve tried several well known online lessons and I never made it past a month. Pickup Music has grabbed my attention. I’ve taken more lessons here than the rest combined.

The way lessons are broken into easily digestible pieces is working for me. I've taken a lot of on line guitar lessons, these are sticking with me the best. Small increments, lots of repetition and explanations as to why, and lots of different angles teaching the same ideas has me showing actual improvement.

Very nicely put together series of lessons with good focus on the fundamentals. Particularly nice is the way in which the fundamentals are quickly put into context with chord progressions and songs to practice to. Sam and co are excellent tutors.

I have been playing around 5 years and think of myself as an intermediate. Dabbling in Jazz for much of that - with a good understanding of the theory and the fundamental chord voicings - however even as a form of revision to solidify understanding there are some insights and tips given that I have found more than valuable. It's great to have the structure of the course to work to, given how vast jazz is as a field of learning. I am doing this, having also completed most of the intermediate pathway course.

To get the most out of this pathway it helps to come into it with a solid understanding of the notes on the fretboard and to have a working understanding of intervals.

I think this pathway is uniquely beneficial to someone like me who is not quite a beginner and not quite intermediate. Its a great course for laying the foundation of guitar playing before getting to the highly anticipated CAGE system!

I finally found my home! After trying 2 other online courses and 2 in-person instructors, Pickup Music has me engaged with their format for learning. I needed a stepwise approach with bite size lessons to keep me motivated, progressing and having fun. Pickup Music has provided the structured learning that I needed rather than guessing which lesson I needed to do next or the "what song do you want to play" approach. The added benefit is that the lessons are available 24/7 to work around a busy schedule. I have only touched the surface of what they offer. I would highly recommend trying the free 14 day trial.

I've tried a couple of guitar apps before, but this one is by far the best one. The videos and the structure of the pathways is excellent. It's well worth the money for the progress I'm getting.

I've been going through the Intermediate Pathway on Pickup Music, and I have to say – it's exactly what I needed! The difficulty level is spot on, challenging enough to push me forward but never overwhelming. The course is incredibly well-structured, making it easy to follow and stay motivated.

What I love is the video feedback after each lesson – it really helps to refine my playing and stay on track. I truly feel like I’ve made real progress with my guitar skills thanks to this course. If I had more time, I would be learning even more!

It's great. Suprise the CAGED system can turn into a pentatonic scale

I honestly thought the CAGED system would be kind of boring, and I was worried I’d lose motivation to keep going with the lessons. But I’m really happy with how it's helping me see the notes across the whole fretboard. I think it’s the best decision I’ve made, it’s finally clicking, and I know it’s going to help me understand the next steps even better.

after the famous intermdiate plateau I was about to give up playing the guitar. I then tried Pickup Music and found so much usefull stuff.

I have been a guitar player for many years. Pickup Music is helping me become the Musician I want to be. There are these little gaps and questions I've had about my playing. I still take One on One lessons with a guitar teacher and Pickup Music has been an excellent resource as I can take my time on certain topics of interest. For instance, I'm a rock guy but I want to learn about Neo Soul. I did the 2 week free trial and I was blown away! I just worked through the CAGED I with Dr. Molly, and I couldn't be happier about the structure, the ease of layout, and my growth over a short period of time. They give you just enough information in each lesson. It's truly like a boost in my learning. This is what separates Pickup Music from other online learning platforms. Well done!
