I am writing this to warn anyone considering buying from Picobriks. I was an early backer of their Kickstarter campaign, excited to support a project for teaching kids robotics. What followed was a complete disaster.

The timeline of failures:

6-Month Delay: The initial delivery was delayed by over six months with almost zero communication.

Shipping Error: After finally shipping, they sent my order to the WRONG ADDRESS. It took them over a month of me chasing them via email to even start to fix their mistake.

False Financial Promise: The second shipment got stuck in customs. Picobriks explicitly told me to pay the customs fees and promised they would refund me. I paid. They never refunded me.

Incomplete Order: When the package finally arrived, it was missing two items. They promised to send them. They never did.

Dishonest Pricing: The final insult? The "early bird discount" on Kickstarter was a lie. After all the shipping and customs fees I was forced to pay, my kit ended up costing me about €60 MORE than it's being sold for on their website right now.

On top of that €60 overpayment, they still owe me the €50 customs fee they promised to refund.

My support for this company has cost me money, months of stress, and I still don't have the complete product. Their incompetence in logistics is matched only by their dishonesty in customer service. Do not give them your money.

They advertise "free shipping" but conveniently leave out the fact that you will need to pay VAT and Duty Tax.
Believing this was a misunderstanding, I paid it and reached out to customer support for help, and their response was: "The amount you were charged is not a shipping fee, but rather a tax fee".
Support also said that EU orders are shipped from the UK and that's why I was charged. When I asked how was I supposed to know that they ghosted me.
Funny thing is: my order came from Turkey. Why lie about that as well?

I suppose they never considered including the tax in the checkout process or making it clear that there might be additional charges.

Congrats on making 116 euros from me.

ordered rex 8 in 1 robot kit in september 7th £97 recieved a solar tracker i didnt order, at a fraction of the cost. several emails and promises of sending correct item, nothing has arrived, no emails, no replies to further emails. very poor service , and after sales service non existent, they still have my money and i have nothing, would not recommend to anyone, save your money
