This was my first tax reclaim. Purchased items in Norway and the retailer explained everything very clearly and gave link to pie app. Uploaded everything required and every step was very clear and logical. I did manage to forget an image (2 products on same receipt) and Maggie from Pie reached out within hours to help rectify. All approved immediately and funds on their way. Very impressed with what I believed would be a very drawn our painful process. Thank you for a great experience

Overall experience was very good, a big thank you to Maggie who helped me complete everything with some great guidance and patience also. The website it self isn't that great as it's difficult to complete the step and thats why I had to contact Maggie in the first place. It would also be good to know if I needed to upload all pictures in the receipt right away as there was a lot of back and forth.

I was skeptical when the shop I bought from gave me the pie document back as it was first time for me, it was sooo easy to claim back my refund, simply stamp at customs and all the rest you do via the app, so simple, I wish all shops used this. Thank you Maggie for your support.

Found the PIE VAT app very easy to use, made a mistake on one of the refund applications, they even fixed it for me. They couldn't have been more helpful. THey were extremely fast, lodged one day, refund approved the next. We kept getting emails saying we would miss out due to time - we had a long holiday - decided to try anyway and all lodged applications approved.
So much easier than trying to find the office at the airport when you are already stressed to get on your flight etc.

Excellent app and customers services. Very easy and intuitive. Overall is a complete advance in tax free management to turístico compare withbthe usual blue global tax. Nevertheless, not all shops in Norway are included, some still not provide tax free or use only the Blue one and in practice you still have to go to tax free at the airport until the app will be spread out. A big improvement anyway.

I used it for the first time and was very impressed with the simplicity of the process and efficiency of the app.

I had lost one receipt and Maggie from the customer service helped me get a duplicate from the store and without any follow up the refund was processed. I found the entire experience including the customer service to be delightful

This is the second time I have used PIE for a VAT refund. It works even better the second time.

The best thing about this is that you don't have to wait in line at the airport, especially if it is a crowded day and there are plenty of people trying to get their refunds before they fly home, and they are unpacking all of their suitcases to try and find the items in question.

The entire process was effortless, clear and easy to navigate. I would highly recommend this and hope all tax free shops transition to using this system! I received the refund electronically in less than 48 hours. Definitely recommend using this system!

Pie is a great tax refund app that makes the process very easy to navigate from the comfort of your phone. My one disappointment is that you're now required to get a physical stamp on purchase receipts in the Copenhagen airport (last summer that was not a requirement). I think one of the biggest selling points of Pie is to not have to waste time in the airport at the tax refund stand which can have a long wait at times. The Copenhagen customs office was difficult to find (even when asking airport staff) and it could use some Pie signage at the door at minimum so you know you're in the right place. Once that hurdle was accomplished the rest of the process was seamless and very easy and I had the refund in my account in about 2 days from returning home. Keep it up but try and remove the receipt stamp requirement!

Pie VAT works like a modern service should work.

The greatest benefit is that you don’t have to rely on the unreliable Global Blue offices that seem to be the default. No hassle on your departure day, just send some photos back after you reach your home country.

I have no idea why with PIE in existence, Global Blue is still around. PIE makes the VAT refund process a thousand times easier than the dinosaur era Global Blue process. No queueing, no poo faced staff, no waiting for staff to appear at the counters, (I had to shout into the Global Blue office to get someone to get out of the Stockholm counter because she was hiding from customers). All very well guided through in the app whenever is convenient to you, quick replies on chat. All shops should switch to PIE.

The PIE VAT process is the way to go. They put user experience at the front and reduce the number of steps to get the process completed. You have to submit the receipt and take a photo of the items once you are back to the home country. Not required to go to office in airport to verify.

We got our VAT refund very quickly after arriving home.

The customer service replied my questions quite fast. And the refund request is approved very fast too.
The best part is that the tax refund application can be done easily online with simple steps and no need to do it at the airport counter.
Believe this should be the way forward for all tax refunds in all shops across all countries, instead of the current manual forms.
This can really save lots of manpower resources and logistics, making it very efficient. Not to mention the customer experience of not having to be stressed at tax refund counter in airport and have to rush to board the plane.

Great app and initiative to be adopted!

I was given a link recently by a shop in Norway to reclaim VAT. I can really testify that PIE VAT with the app works realy well. The VAT refund was easy and quick. Forget thet paper systems (like Global Blue) which often can not get finalized due to missing a refund office (I can testify from the recent trip). Shop at retailers using PIE VAT. I'm certain that the network will grow fast with this fully digital system.
