Piggin & Wassail are two unique sympathetically restored Barn Conversion Holiday Cottages in the Heart of Glastonbury. They have been restored with a blended centuries approach, making them truly special and one-of-a-kind. Mixing timeless countryside charm with modern creature comforts, your Rural Rustic Retreat with us will not be short of entertainment, relaxation, and tranquility. We offer a true Home away from Home experience perfect for those weekend getaways with your significant other, Week-long escapes with the whole family (dogs are invited too), and those all-important Fortnights of pure solitude and serenity to de-stress from the hustle and bustle of city life. We are ideally situated in Glastonbury, known by many as the No.1 Most Spiritual Place on Earth, so that during your stay you can explore this beautiful town and immerse yourself in its unique atmosphere. Wander through the eclectic high street with its quirky shops, and discover ancient sites steeped in history and mysticism. Every moment here promises to be meaningful and uplifting, leaving you with unforgettable, spiritually enriching memories. Piggin & Wassail began life as a farmhouse barn primarily used for cider making. It was given a new lease of life when Jacq, the owner, sympathetically restored and transformed the barn into two enchanting holiday cottages, blending rustic charm with modern elegance. They are more than just cottages; they represent renewal and transformation, offering a sanctuary where you can re-discover your sense of purpose.

Perfect, cosy, lovely, comfy

Lovely little cottage. Well-equipped and so nicely done, with lovely touches. Great shower, and I loved my bath in the bedroom. A lot of thought has gone into making a comfortable place to stay, but it’s not cluttered, and kept simple.
It’s an easy walk into town, so while I loved staying in, it’s easy to get anywhere you want on foot.
Also - the host was really warm and helpful, very responsive.
I hope to go back soon!

Well what a perfect place to relax…a gem in the crown that is Glastonbury

Well what a perfect place to relax after full days in Glastonbury. A beautiful haven !!! Can’t rate this cottage enough !! I really don’t want to give this cottage the review it deserves , as it will be fully booked and I’ll never get to return !!!! Only a walk away from the high street , cosy , well appointed

How lucky are we to visit regularly!

How lucky are we to have become regular visitors having stayed a few times at the Piggin and the Wassail. These are both amazing and welcoming properties with a touch of class providing a wonderful mix of old and new to a holiday. Glastonbury town centre is a short walk away 5 or 10 minutes, and if you keep going you can walk to the Tor. Jacq is a perfect host who ensures everything is perfect for a comfortable stay. What else can we say other than we now come and stay each year, and our stays are getting longer! Thank you Jacq & see you soon. Ian, Sarah & Dom Dog 🐾🐾

Piggin & Wassail is a wonderful place where tò stay

Piggin & Wassail is a wonderful and well-located cottage that I have loved since the first time I stayed there. I return often and every time I feel at home, also thanks to the care and kindness of Jack, the landlady. Highly recommended.

Great cottages and location.

Excellent location with a short stroll into Glastonbury. The Piggin cottage is well equipped and has everything you need. A nice secure outdoor area, with high fence so it's lovely and private and not overlooked (good for a dog). Great in summer with the bifolding doors. Lovley cosy living area, really comfortable bed and a good size bathroom with an amazing shower (didn't want to get out). Would highly reccomend. We are coming back again this year, with the addition of having family staying in Wassail. I highly reccomend a stay here.

Fabulous Cottages

The cottages are characterful, beautifully clean, and tastefully decorated, making good use of the many original features. They are within easy walking distance of the town centre, but in a very quiet and peaceful area. The owners are lovely, friendly, and happy to help.
I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Piggin and Wassail, and am very much looking forward to staying there again later this year

Our wonderful stay at Wassail Cottage.

We had a wonderful stay at Wassail cottage in November, 2024. It was a chance for us to get together with some of our family.
The cottage was warm and inviting, and felt like home. We had everything that we could have asked for or needed.
Even our old husky settled in nicely.
The only downside was our trip was too short! We are already planning a longer trip.

We have stayed in both properties on…

We have stayed in both properties on several occasions and will be returning again this year. Beautifully presented, own enclosed gardens, private parking and all amenities. Walking distance from the town centre with its lovely Abbey, pubs, shops and award winning chippy. Jacq is a warm and responsive host, nothing is too much trouble. Highly recommended.
