Pillpack has NO CUSTOMER SERVICE and…
Pillpack has NO CUSTOMER SERVICE and shipping liquids. Monjaro, Basaglar same problem everytime in the summer. The try to ship overnight from Seattle and in turn it ships first through Oregon to Los Angeles and then back through California(second trip) (through Oregon second trip) then back down to Medford in the southern end of Oregon (third ship through Oregon) delivers in 100 degree heat in a foil lined bag with 4 small pouches that may have ice when it left Seattle but now arrives warmer than safe. Total times this has happened with no improvements between my wife and my medicine 5 times todate. Everyone listens but no one makes any changes. Groundhog day everyday at pillpack. Buyer beware.

Do not use pillpack
I called pillpack on the 8th of the month when I realized it was time for my weekly injection of Mounjaro, and it had not yet been delivered. I was transferred back and forth between pill pack and Amazon pharmacy. They could not find my account. This was odd considering that I had already been a customer and had this particular prescription filled with them previously. After much confusion they finally found my prescription. They told me it would be a couple days because it needs to be reviewed by a pharmacist. A week later it still was not at my house so I called them back and had not even been sent through that review process yet. I've never had such a difficult time filling a prescription, this is ridiculous. It is now over two weeks late, and it does not seem that it will be here in the immediate future.
Transferred all meds back to Optum RX
Transferred all meds to Pill Pack. I was using Optum RX and was very happy with the service, but liked the idea of not sorting pills. BIG mistake.
I put my meds on hold since I was going to be away. I was told to call when I arrived home to remove hold. I had to call them since I was charged for a medication that my insurance covers 100%. The representative stated my meds were on hold… the person I spoke to never took the hold off.
Back to Optum RX
Screwed me over
I had met my deductible and had $0 copays on all meds. They took $75 out of my checking acct stating that was what coming back from insurance on one of my Rxs. I contacted insurance and they advised that a PA was needed and that pill pack was running it as cash price. THEY NEVER TOLD ME OR THE DOC THAT A PA WAS NEEDED!!! After numerous calls and emails they refused to rerun after I got my doc to submit PA for the $0 copay and refused to return my money. I hadn’t even received the product yet. Would not ever recommend them!!
PillPack used to be AMAZING
PillPack used to be AMAZING, even after Amazon bought them. Until Amazon started operating the company as part of Amazon Pharmacy, now it is subpar at best. I have used PillPack for years and I dont recall a time when I ever had an issue with a prescription being delivered in a bottle that I didnt ask for that way--now its a monthly occurance
Charged me $225 for the wrong item refused to refund despite acknowledging mistake
Charged me $225 for the wrong item. Caused a long delay in my treatment. Acknowledged their own mistake and refused to reverse the charge to my account. Also caused additional delays by overlooking valid Rx on my account claiming I didn’t have one. Put my health at risk due to negligence. Research this company they’re in hot water with the FBI and have been sued for millions of dollars. They’re a nightmare.
Putting my life in danger with this company
I'm type 1 diabetic and receive my CGM (Dexcom) and Omnipods thru Pillpack I don't have another option due to the way insurance contracts work. Consistantly my pod shipments are late or missing. It's difficult to get ahold of customer service and it's absolutely ridiculous that I have to babysit my account when I'm on autoship. I can't just skip for a few days. The amount of stress caused since being switched to PillPack is making me want to quit pump therapy altogether and go back to old school injections, control is better on a pump system but if I can't rely on my supplies arriving as prescribed it doesn't do me any good. I've been diabetic since I was 9 years old, I'm 43 now and never had such horrible trouble getting the supplies I need to STAY ALIVE! I don't know how this company can stay in business it's a mess!
I have used Pillpack for 7 years
I have used Pillpack for 7 years. Something has recently changed and now the customer service is HORRIBLE! One of my doctors accidentally sent 2 prescriptions that I do not fill via Pillpack. They claim they sent a email but they Did not! They sent the 2 prescriptions unbeknownst to me until I got billed 200.00. These were free via another pharmacy that I use. Ugh
They will do nothing to help me out even though they didn’t email me at all!! Stick to a local pharmacy where you can see and or reject the medication before you are billed!
I have only great things to say about…
I have only great things to say about Amazon PillPack. I've been using their service for about a year, having used the same type of mail order packet service from another company that no longer offers this service. Hands down, PillPack is superior.
The customer service reps that I have spoken to have seemed intelligent and have great communication skills. Twice they have even discovered and brought to my attention mistakes my doctor has made. They have taken the time and had patience with my questions. For example when my old doctor decided not to send a refill order at the last minute because I was no longer a patient. Amazon PillPack helped me to put together a bridge order with my new doctor.
It used to take me at least an hour to sort out my own medications into pill minders each month, and then I was never sure I was right. I haven't ever found an error on the orders they package. One of my medications has to be cut in half. They even do that for me!
They don't charge any extra for their service, either. My orders each month are less than my local pharmacy too. Use Amazon PillPack. It's worth it!
Changed insurance
Changed insurance. Had to arrange a 1 month where I would pay. Called them 3 times over a month to make sure they sent the meds and they still screwed it up. They told me they would overnight the meds. I had to call them. They still screwed it up. Rushing now to find a local replacement. Adding new meds is also very inconvenient. Takes months to line up the timing. I am done with them. They left me hanging.
Pillpack is a health care company that just can't provide dependable or problem free service
Pillpack is a health care company that it is incompetent and should be closed. In the 4 months I have been a customer, it has been mistake after mistake. They started by automatically trying to bring over prescriptions from the previous pharmacy with no input from the consumer - some of those prescriptions were no longer being used. There has been a repeated problem where prescriptions were incorrectly cancelled by Pillpack, resulting in communications one week saying that everything is set for your next shipment, and then the next week a last minute message before the cut-off date that the same shipment is no longer going to contain all the medications. I was repeatedly calling my doctor and calling pillpack trying to straighten this out. I have to laugh at the announcement you get when you call the help number - it says all the information that you would get from a customer service agent is available for you on the dashboard. That is just a lie, the Dashboard is not up to date and only by speaking to an agent will you find out what is really going on. It seems this company is just trying to do as little as possible to provide service. Just this week, instead of sending the pills in a pull as you go box which was pretty nice, they have decided to start sending them in a paper bag. This really isn't working for my 90 year old Mom. All the hours I have spent with emails and on the phone conversations have ended up being a waste of time as I have had to transition to a different company since they just don't provide the service they advertise, and I have to protect my Mom's health from a company that doesn't seem to be able to do anything right.
Terrible Communication
Been using pillpack for over a year now. Everything seems great until you need to change something. They send you an email a few days before shipping your medications so you can review the shipment. I recently moved and saw that the shipping address needed to be updated, so I changed it online RIGHT AWAY after receiving that email. Well, a few days later they shipped my medications to the old address, and it was returned to them. Of course I did not know this - there was no notification or communication of any kind until I realized I was almost out of medications and called them. They agreed to redo the shipment, which they did, but the problem came the following month when pillpack did not send my medications because insurance said the prescriptions had already been filled (this is because pillpack charged insurance twice the previous month and did not reverse the returned shipment with them). I called Pillpack again and they said this was my fault and would only send my current shipment if I paid for it out of pocket. I had no choice at that point, so I paid for it, but I don't think it's right that pillpack got paid twice the previous month (for one shipment) and then I had to pay for it out of pocket the next month.
Another disappointed review for Pill…
Another disappointed review for Pill Pack. I initiated this service for a family member with Dementia to get meds consistently and reliably delivered and to eliminate med errors. It takes calculation and planning when someone is on 11 meds to time the refills with the lead time (3wks) Pill Pack needs to get started. I made countless emails and calls to physician offices and pharmacy to ensure RX were transferred. I manually entered all RX on their site yet kept getting messages with 5 or more meds missing from pending shipments. On Monday of this week I called and said to NOT ship an incomplete order as it would be useless and again reviewed what meds would make a complete shipment - they sent a shipment of only 5 meds anyway. I demanded a credit for the useless shipment (patient cannot negotiate extra pill bottles they offered sent etc) out of $160 charged they offered $20 credit for their mistake. I'm making a complaint with Medicare. They are negligent.
The pills are late again
The pills are late again. Two days past when my dad needs them. The cut the shipments way too close. They constantly run out of stuff. The prices go up constantly. I am dropping them the second I can get everything transferred.
Horrible experience
I have been on hold for 47 minutes so far waiting to speak to a representative. Also, music while waiting is HORRIBLE.
Too many problems
I was so excited to simplify my daily routine of taking medications, and I thought the PillPack was an awesome idea! However since I signed up for it 2 months ago, I have now had 2 monthly deliveries cancelled with the only explanation being that medications were "not available". All of my medications are common. When I connect with the pharmacy on the chat, they are clueless and just keep saying "we don't have any information available", and then tell me to order my medications from a "short term supply" page. This makes no sense. If the medication is available on that page, why can't it be included in my monthly PillPack delivery? Don't recommend unless you have lots of time to waste on pointless phone calls and chats
Communication is so important
Communication! Pill packs major weakness. 45 minutes to get through via phone or chat. 50% chance your call or chat will get dropped.
They will cancel orders with no notice or communication. 5 days to approve a dosage change.
I lose brain cells talking, chatting or just following up.
After 4 hours today, i got through to a person. That person was based in the US (her words) and she did not know the time difference between the US east coast and west coasts. I was trying to find a work around (overnight shipment) after their 2 screwups. I was trying to help her out and she could not go off script.
Great concept customer service people… great concept, bad execution
Great concept customer service people are rude. Supervisors are rude.
It is taken months to get Prescriptions transferred over and not very reliable go to your local pharmacy Support Support them. They’ll do much better.
For over a decade, they've been a great company with awesome customer support.
I just wanted to write a review for PillPack because I think the company has always been wonderful. Every time I’ve had any kind of issue—whether I contact them through chat, email, or phone—I’ve always gotten a quick, responsive reply that helps solve everything.
Even today, I had an issue where I needed my prescription by tomorrow. My doctor accidentally sent it to Walgreens, and then Walgreens canceled it, so I was in a tough spot. I called PillPack, and they not only got my medication going but also shipped it overnight so it will arrive in time.
It’s so much better than having to go to the pharmacy every two weeks and wait for a half hour for your prescription to be ready. I’ve been using PillPack for over a decade, and I think they’re a great company.
My orders were late or the provided ETA…
My orders were late or the provided ETA is incorrect. It took them over a week to fill a prescription. Customer service is helpful if you can actually get through to them.
