The gardening work was scheduled for 13/03/26 after a previous meeting stating what I needed to be completed and accepting a reasonable quote which I accepted, albeit I told them in a call on 12/03/26 that the tree sapling that I wanted planting was no longer required as I was unable to buy the sapling that I wanted on time.
I explained during the 1st meeting before accepting the quote that I have had problems in the past with male gardeners and the website states that it’s an all female team ?
Lady gardener arrived on 13/03/26 and I asked you if they were alone as I assumed they would have at least 1 female colleague with them and the reply was that no I have my husband with me but he was only going to wait in the car/van killing time ?
I was quite perplexed by this statement and didn’t think this was an ideal situation to put a client in as this isn’t what your website states so I probably should have cancelled then as that should have made me realise that they weren’t going to spend too long on the job and this situation made me feel uncomfortable.
They also stated that he wouldn’t be coming in to the garden .. again this made me feel uncomfortable as that was putting the onus on me to make a decision if in case they needed any help ?
I of course asked later if he could help bring some heavy pots to the garden which I would have expected their
female colleague to help with if of course they turned up with one !
As for the time spent completing the job .. so 3 hours ? Maybe 3.5 hours - they arrived around 12.30pm took a lunch break at 2pm then back around 3pm only to knock on my door at 4.20pm to say they had completed the job ?
As for the rowan tree preparation I wouldn’t imagine that would have taken 1/2 day to prepare
the site and plant a sapling ??
All in all the garden isn’t what I expected it to look like for a “ days” work as stated for £500
I had have had to ask several friends to help me complete the work as there was still lots to do and I feel upset that I even chose “ pink lady gardeners” as I’m sorely dissatisfied and feel that they shouldn’t advertise that they are an “ all female team “ as this isn’t the case.
I have since contacted via text asking for an “ invoice “ which eventually arrived as I had already paid full price on 13/03/26 and after another email and a voicemail I left asking for a call back or an email I have just been ignored.. even though on the day they left I was advised to contact if I needed any further assistance??
I would not recommend
“pink lady gardeners” as the service I received was disappointing and the customer service is poor and unprofessional.
