Worst customer support ever...

You gotta laugh at how thick some of their support agents are, told them two of my games are faulty because it is slow/laggy straight after I bought them. The support agent asked for...... wait for it..... screenshots! To prove the problem exits. How on earth do you take screenshots of a laggy/slow game? Guessing their IQ is the same as the frame rates of these games....

I would give sony 0 stars if possible…

I would give sony 0 stars if possible for their monopolising anti second hand sales of console ban campaign, basically I have bought a second hand playstation 4 from cash converters today proof of purchase with a reiept dated and time stamped with the console serial matching the console, it had been bought faulty download only on the sticker, when asking they said it's a blu ray drive fault no returns, well low and behold I fix the drive turn it on to use and login to an account and it comes up this ps4 is banned or temporarily restricted, well I contacted sony and they say it's permenantly banned which is not actually possible as to obtain any ban digitally they need to flag the mac and ip of the console or it's digital trace on the server so they can remove that but they are refusing to, even though it is proven legitimately bought and I clearly have no relationship whatso ever to the previous owner in fact I assume that even cash converters were not aware it is banned hence why state download only if it's bound to be returned. So this is down to the stage of pure bombardment from me on playstation now a true campaign to expose the whole process of gaining a percuniary advantage via using console bans on second hand consoles to try to stem the flow of sales via banning certain consoles, there should be a number to call or email service send the picture of the console with the serial number visible and a picture of the reciept that must have a matching serial number into them via email and they re-enable it drop the ban, but no they seem to think it's fine to keep it banned so you buy a new one, surely it's a breech of consumer rights for second hand buyers in the uk to do this as you don't have second hand cars being banned for use after being sold because it has a outstanding concern or ticket etc do you? And you don't see people buying other forms of second hand goods to find they are now no longer allowed to use them, therefore it should be outlawed when being sold on by a credible retail outlet and a hotline setup for re-activation forced upon both sony and microsoft for console ban removals, it's a monopoly otherwise they have also got then the ability to outright ban indiscriminately where they deem fit and could unfairly ban as well. It's just a stealthy way of gaining an advantage selling new consoles vs second hand consoles and it needs to be made if not allready made a law. But as for sony they appeared to not take it into any consideration they seemed like a souless roboticaly responding group with no intention of having a scrap of any form of humanity or compassion and therefore I would highly recommend against buying sony consoles new or second hand unless bans are outlawed or more fairly regulated. I mean what's to say you don't buy a ps5 next when they arrive and your little brother or sister or some mate goes on it while your out and eg.calls someone a crudename or says a profanity or something considered negative and hey presto they get you banned with no chance of an unlock and not because they can't unlock it but because they have 0 compassion and choose not to when it's allways possible I mean if they can tell it's logging in they can deactivate the ban for sure, that's what happened with me, for me it was some stranger gets it banned a store sells it me unwittingly with a no return policy and I contact sony and immediately they point blank heartlessly turn their back on me as a second hand user, and to think I wanted to buy games online off them and a vr headset to be met with that response just says it all, all they care about is money not customer satisfaction or ratings hence this will go a long way to lowering their ratings yet again like the last review did before mine. I'll stop writing a plethera of these reviews on every site I can find now which I shall be every single day another review now until they lift my console ban I didn't even that ban my self so probably the time I pull these reviews down is the time they unban it which is likely never so I think this review is equally fair and equally deservant and absolutely factual.

Lots of great discounts!

I have been using the PlayStation store since February 2018. They have quite a few good free games, and since becoming a regular PS Plus member in December 2018, I've found that it's undoubtedly worth it, when you regularly purchase games, movies, apps, and so on. The PS Store offers lots of awesome discounts, and so far, I've been a very happy customer!! 👍👍 😀

Customer Service is garbage

Order a game (Burnout Paradise remastered) off the store, and it kept crashing straight away. Contacted customer service for a fix or a refund, and they take a whole day to reply.

When a reply eventually comes, it is a different person replying and they keep asking for the same information - clearly getting it off a script.

I am currently going round and round with emails that take a day to get replied to and am no closer to a solution.

Got a refund

Ok so here goes to cut a very very long story short.
I got a refund for a game I bought.......
I had to send about 10 (seriously ) emails to complain, but I got all my money back.
Game was Day Z by the way!
Most of the people I spoke to were nice but clearly reading of a script.

Horrible!

Horrible!! IT is just impossible to request a refund. I've been trying to ask a refund for a movie that I rented and did not work (not my fault) but it is just impossible to contact the store

Playstation Store

After recent updates, the PS store is very well built. Easy to to find games in your taste. Be careful though. Before you buy a game, any game, you should do some research about the game to make sure the game you’re about to buy Will run good.

Auto-Renew Scam - One Refund for life....

My kids wanted to try PS Now, so I allowed them to get the 7 day free offer. I then set a calendar alarm on my phone so that I would remember to turn off auto-renew before they would be billed. When the date arrived I went into our playstation account and turned off auto-renew, too easy. The next day we were billed for the next month of PS Now. When I contacted playstation they refused to refund the money because I had had a similar issue once previously. So....even if playstation makes an error and bills me, their position seems to be that from now on they just keep the money no matter what. I've been buying playstation products since 1994, but apparently the $20 they stole from my kids is more important than a 25 year customer. I am no longer comfortable giving my billing info to playstation, and will no longer shop their website.

Do not buy a PlayStation...

Do not buy a PlayStation for either yourself or your kids. Absolute joke of a company with a complete lack of customer service. Pray you don't ever have to contact them - no consideration for their customers and ignore complaints. If you want a games machine, buy an XBOX.

Pure greed.

A prefect example of what current gaming is, give us your money now or else.

I had to threaten legal action to get a refund and when my account was hacked they didn't take it to the police. I am now happy on PC and will never go back to console.

worst store ever

They only wish to take your money and throw your problem in the trash. You get one refund for your entire life and they call it something stupid like the good graces plan ha ha. Well as we all know your account can become compromised, glitches happen, and much much more. So even if someone steals your console and buys everything under the sun they are willing to refund you one purchase lol dumbest thing I've ever heard. Then they also are only able to refund the money to your PSN wallet so you never really get your money back anyways. Best solution is to never buy their crap if I could go back in time I would never buy anything playstation ever ever ever.

worst i have ever encountered

My sons playstation was hacked, as a result £130.00 worth of games where downloaded on his account without my permission. Playstation,Police etc where informed Playstation Banned the person who did this however would not me the details to proceed legally, even though this action was taken against a minor... Bank investigated these transactions and refunded the money taken from my account.
Playstation then did chargeback on my sons account to the Tune of £130.00 and as a result he was then banned from using the account.

I have made over 60 contacts with playstation of which have been dreadful ( i have kept details and emails of all contacts) the company have admitted that it was not my son who purchased these games have banned the person that has made these purchases however are still insisting that I pay for them please see one of the replys from playstation.

Hi

Thanks for your e-mail about your Sony Entertainment Network (SEN) account.

I can see from your e-mail that you're having some problems with your SEN account. As we take the security of SEN accounts very seriously, we are unable to provide support on this matter by e-mail as we will need the account holder to answer some security questions before we can investigate this further.

I can confirm that it is possible to view the console ID on which a transaction was made, but if this was investigated and action was taken unfortunately we would be unable to share any details of this with you. Furthermore it is in our terms of service that you are responsible for any transactions made using your Sony Entertainment Network Account (SEN account,) and for that reason we would be unable to offer you a refund. For further information please contact PlayStation support by phone.

I hope this helps, but if you have any other questions please contact PlayStation Support using the contact details below or by replying to this e-mail.

Thank you,

i have now forwarded all details to Watchdog in the hope that they will deal with this awful company.
