We visited the park today, it was partially closed. It was not good value at all. We asked for a refund which was incredibly difficult and they argued with us and were rude. They only agreed to part refund and would not give our money back, but didn’t explain it and hoped we wouldn’t notice. We were also told we couldn’t complain as they were the only people we could talk to. We also witnessed a grandmother and her grandchildren refused a refund and told they could visit another day even though she said she didn’t know when she would have the children again.

I can not believe this company deserves even 1 star.
I got a parking ticket even though i have a yearly pass
I got a fine when going in with a hire replacement vehicle i went in to ask if they could waiver the fine as i i am a foster carer and totally forgot to get my reg. plate verified as i was visiting with 3 looked after children. I asked if they could waiver the fee and they said they would try but they came back with that they could not, i then got an admin fine on top of their fine of £60 so was gutted that i was charged overall £120.00 so close to christmas, thank you so much for this hope you have a lovely christmas and i will not get my 6 annual passes that i normally purchase as this company is just money grabbing and not very understanding. I am sure if 1 of their employees had forgotten to put in card details they would have waivered the ticket. Think the parking system should be better explained to customers who have multiple cars. Also nearly got another ticket when i went into office and complained and nearly forgot to valdidate reg details, but was not warned off this by the receptionist, i remembered and went back in to validate. So please be careful with this firm
Short queues on half term, countless and varied rides had, kids loved it (5 and 7). Very polite and helpful ride operators. Sea Lion/Bird shows were very well done. For the entry price you can't complain. Could easily pick fault (dated in places, fresh in others, plus Marble Madness closed) but I'm rating based on a fun, low stress and very affordable day out we had. Good effort on the Halloween theming. Pumpkin calving activity for £3 was good fun and they had a well organised setup for this.
£100 Parking Fine sent through my door for being in the car park for 16 mins and 49 seconds whilst waiting for my son to come out of a party. An absolute joke. Never again will I set foot in that run down god forsaken dump they like to call a theme park. It’s more shabbier looking than Katie Price. Appealed against the ticket but they said because I went over the 15 min grace time, fine stands. PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE, Staff dont care and customer service is about as good as a chocolate fire guard. The quicker this place gets shut down through everyone putting negative reviews about the place the better. Complete load of 💩
Parking Fine despite paying the £3 parking ticket charge when booking and paying online I then got a parking ticket saying I had failed to pay for parking. I have downloaded the ticket which has proof. After appealing they still insisting i did not pay.
The people on the desk do not tell you anything specific about parking when you show them the email ticket so if like me you go every year you will likely assume all is OK.
Never again.
The parking situation at pleasure wood hills absolutely disgusting I dropped my stepson off to work there and picked him
Up over the last few months and thay brought in smart parking to which you had to hand in your reg number to the office which we did and week or two later I got a fine though the door of £170 twice took the letters to the office to show thay said thay would sort it a few weeks later got two more letter did the same again thay said thay will sort it two weeks later something happened now 2 months on a debt recovery letter on door step saying I owe £235 been try to get hold of pleasure wood hills and no answer yet message say phone line is open till 9 to 4 then tried debt recover firm been on over a hour still no answer from just some one will be with you asap are these both dodgy firms that are trying to rip the public off ????? Its not as if it’s cheap to get in to pleasure wood hills just a big con absolutely crap not as if i spent the day there 10 mins at the most dropping and picking my stepson off
Very dispointing some rides not on and the burgers we had, made us all poorly for two days needs inspecting been at park before and it was good but gone down hill
I visited here with my family on the 22nd August and was very disappointed so I decided to email customer services that evening, this is the email I sent...
'Myself and my family visited today and unfortunately this was not a happy visit.
We checked online before our visit to see if there were any ride closures as my ASD daughter was looking forward to her 1st ride on the wipeout. The website stated that it was only the mini lighthouse and marble madness that were closed. So we decided to come anyway.
On entry we noticed that the jolly Roger, the wipeout, the chairlifts and some of the smaller children's rides were all closed. Understandably the weather didn't start off very well but there should have been some notice that other rides would be closed, the guest information boards at arrival didn't even state that any were closed.
I was also disgusted to see that whilst walking round the park there was a man casually sat on the wall drinking a bottle of vodka, I don't feel this is appropriate in a family friendly place.
By around 1pm my children had had enough and were ready to leave.
For the price I paid for entry and the new parking prices I expected much better.'
A couple of days later I phoned customer services and asked if they had received my email as I hadn't had a response or even any form of acknowledgement, the lady on the phone informed me that they had received my email and in fact had it open in front of her, but it would take 5/7 days for a response as they were very busy! 10 days later and I have had any response to email or any contact from customer services team !
In my opinion this is very poor !!
We were looking forward to visiting pleasurewood Hills as I used to bring my children here for days out 20 years ago, so when we had family visiting us yesterday we thought great, We’ll take them ! I really was so embarrassed, some of the rides were not working and those that were lacked lustre. The whole place has so much potential but looking at it with fresh eyes, it’s run down, tired and shabby. There is so much that could be done with the place if someone put some thought and money into it. Things like making sure all green areas are cut and looking tidy, not enough benches spaced out throughout the park just to sit on, paintwork throughout kept nice, toilets need updating and kept a lot cleaner than they were yesterday, investing to bring rides up to date because honestly? I really didn’t feel safe on some of them and particularly the cable car!! Even most of the people running the rides and on the food stalls looked fed up and tired. Come on owners you advertise this as East Anglias biggest theme park but you still charge a considerable amount for very little which is really sad because it could go back to being a great place to visit— perhaps you need to start touting for investors before you run it completely into the ground.
This is a Health and Safety disaster area waiting to explode! there were broken seats everywhere, 2 cans of paint and 2 x 5 litre drums of paint stripper that a child was tipping up to try and drink! These paint cans and paint stripper were just thrown on the pavement outside the broken Marble Madness ride where people were walking past! I mentioned this to the teenager stand in manager Toby who was in fact the food and beverage supervisor! can hardly call frozen chips and chicken dippers food but hey ho! Toby stated that he thinks the park is looking great and he can’t see any problems, perhaps Toby needs to head to spec savers as he weren’t that bothered about the photos I shew him of the paint cans and paint stripper. The park is a run down mess and needs to be shut down, the cost to get in, the state of the rides is appalling and an embarrassment, the owners should be ashamed. Don’t waste your money getting in here as you will 100% regret it, if it was free I would avoid it to be honest.
Don’t Waste Your Money !!!!
The theme park is in such a poor state, it needs some serious investment to bring it up to date, the rides apart from a few are all dilapidated !!! Many attractions are closed it’s in a very sorry state, like a ghost town !!! My wife has to use a wheelchair and some of the paths are in such a terrible state and uneven that she was nearly tipped out of her wheelchair, very dangerous and an accident just waiting to happen. The park needs some serious investment along with some new exciting rides to give people something to look forward to. If it stays the way it is i don’t think I will be able to carry on trading ! We certainly won’t be coming back anytime soon and also wouldn’t recommend the park to anyone, honestly do not waste your money !! Pleasurewood hills, you need to take on board all of the bad reviews ! We felt completely ripped off, very dissatisfied and very disappointed !!!
Do not waist your money, spent well over a £100 with food & tickets , 3 of the main big rides were out of service & 2 of the smaller children rides not working!!! Place is filthy and so run down, things are shut or not working at all & now you have to pay for parking which is fine if all the rides actually worked. Staff look miserable as sin. No que times which is great but then that say it all what theme park don’t have ques !! Revamp this place with all the money you charge people, fix your rides or just close it down
I took my nephews 11 and 16 and daughters 13 and 18 and we had a brilliant day out. Yes it’s a little run down but facilities are clean and staff helpful.
Food was expensive.
Very short que times.
For the ticket price you can’t complain.
In the 80s/90s pleasure wood hills was the best theme park around. Got plenty of great memories here.. Visited a few weeks ago couldn't believe my eyes the park is so run down sad to see. This place needs a complete revamp. To top it off the bad experience received £100 parking fine there was no visual signs. Even on the website didn't say nothing about a car parking charge. Definitely won't be coming back.
This place is shabby and run down, they also sent me a £170 fine for not paying £3 parking. I didn't see any signs alerting me to parking charges and have never had to pay before. They sent recovery strait to a debt recovery agency, no letters to me asking for payment etc, what a scam.
Avoid at all costs.
Just another money grabbing venue with high price food and drink as well as merchandise.
They must be running this place on a shoestring, I remember my parents taking me as a child all the time and they had things going for them. There were so many good rides and you were allowed to have barbecues which they banned a good while ago now. You also used to see Woody the bear, Clarence the cat and Ronnie the raccoon dressed up and walking around the park but not anymore.
How times have changed, it’s now a dirty run down theme park if you can call it that with lots of rides closed down and the ones that are open are in need of a repair or modernising. I certainly wouldn’t take my child there any more,
Do not pay full price for PWH

We went on its first day of opening in 2024 (March 29th) expecting rides to be all sparkling , jet washed, painted and cleaned. This was not so. The place looked like the fairground from Hiroshima in places. Rides that were full of leaves and rotten smelly water (elephant ride) the safari ride was filthy. Steering wheel falling apart. Rusty bits of metal sticking out and torn material. There’s authentic and then there’s deaths traps!
£18 per adult that includes 3yr olds who by the way if need to be min 90cm minimum tall to go on certain rides.
Explain to me how a child who is 90cm can go on the egg rollercoaster accompanied by an adult but not the umbrella ride (opposite) that looked about as exciting as watching paint dry. Confused face!
Also the egg rollercoaster clearly hadn’t been tested before opening as they had not cut back the winter foliage as my wife was smashed in the face by a branch. Luckily she walked away unscathed.
Pro’s … the staff as much as most have them looked like they’ve just finished their GCSE’S were very smiley, polite and pleasant (might be first day high) toilets were clean. Parking was free (for now) . There’s a McDonald’s just before the park, so don’t pay stupid money for food on site or take a picnic
Overall, this place needs a big cash injection a with some new rides or at least a proper clean and lick of paint.
Sadly won’t be returning
Don’t waste your money here! The whole park seems derelict apart from a few rides that are over 40 years old that are unkept/or cared for - It was the worst day trip my children have ever had! Such a disappointing experience it put a cloud over our holiday. I’ve emailed Pleasurewood Hills twice and they can’t even muster up an apology. there were several rides that were out of commission with 8ft fencing around which was blown over and dangerous. The facilities were disgusting, we arrived at 10 am and the toilets clearly hadn’t been cleaned, i wouldn’t dare let my children eat there. One ride, the wooden walkway to the ride was rotten and unsafe with empty oil can left at the side of the rollercoaster. Save your money and your disappointment!
