An absolute shambles of a company when…

An absolute shambles of a company when something goes wrong. A very costly item was returned to them over two weeks ago after damage by the muppets at Yodel during transit. Still no word from PledgeMusic. Given up with emails and they offer no other form of contact. Time for a letter (if I can find an address to send it to), followed by the small claims court.

Missing contents, failed to rectify

Ordered three items, two were missing some contents. Contacted customer services, eventually received a reply, was promised missing contents would be shipped. They weren't. Contacted customer services again and was ignored.

No product and no communication

As with many reviews on here, I have ordered a product - the fulfilment date has passed and I have received nothing- including communication.
A huge problem is their ‘contact’ facility as it looks like I am uploading a message to myself via a messageboard. An auto response says they are “very busy so please leave time for a response” but a month is quite enough time to respond to an email, and in my opinion a request for a refund should be handled immediately - and I am still waiting. Auto emails will not suffice and I believe them to have no intention of providing customer service.
Avoid ordering from these.

Unacceptable delays

Unacceptable delays.
Requested my order be cancelled and my paypal payment reversed. Have been waiting over 3 week and still no refund. Avoid at all costs.

Have been told they are upgrading their payment systems and this is the reason for delay. Not acceptable.

Terrible company

Terrible company. Would strongly advise no-one to part with their cash with these clowns. Took my money a few days before release date. A month later, still not received anything and not one update. Tried to contact them via the website 6 times, but no reply. Worked out one of the staff's email address by a web search. Got a promising reply, advising they would have stock within a week. Of course this turned out to be false. Phone number on website is hidden and when i tried to ring it, it didn't connect anyway.
Ultra-poor customer services. Take money when they don't have the product. One for Trading Standards?

Absolutely shocking

Absolutely shocking. I can't believe how terrible these people are! How dare they take people's money and not fulfill the order. After 6 months still haven't heard about my order regardless how many emails you send. The release date is push back all the time yet no official word. I can't believe they have the nerve to take people's money and run!

Do not buy ANYTHING from Pledgemusic. Disgusting!

Recently I received my Michael Bruce…

Recently I received my Michael Bruce boxset from Pledgemusic, supposedly 250 made.Mine did not have the autographed placard in it or any indication if I am any of the 1-250 copies. All attempts at satisfaction get me a generic e-mail and no real response....seems if you are selling something autographed and rates reflect that then you should be making an attempt to make sure autograph is included....you charged me for it!

Shockingly poor company

Shockingly poor company. Will no longer use pledge music as the signed cd i pledged for never materialised. Customer service is pathetic and sends out a generic email about how your complaint is important but nothing happens. Done with pledge music now . Bad for those who pledge, bad for artists whose cds don't get delivered. Will end up buying cd from Amazon even though i helped artist make the cd. Hopeless.

All not what it seems.

Ordered "signed and numbered copy" of book only to receive a " bookplate" copy. This is basically where an author signs hundreds of stickers which are then sent out and stuck in the appropriate publication by a third party.
In effect it means that the item has never been seen or handled by the author themselves and , in my opinion, reduces the value significantly.
Emailed Pledge regarding a refund and still waiting for a further reply.

Avoid ordering via Pledgemusic

I wish I had checked some review sites for Pledge Music before ordering/pledging - item has failed to arrive and absolutely no response to numerous emails. I feel sorry for the artists but be smart and avoid dealing with this company.

The worst company I have EVER done business with

Even one star is too generous for these contemptible scumbags. Never before have I encountered a company so inept, so inconsiderate, so arrogant, or so deceitful.

When progressive rock band YES decided to release an updated version of their "Fly From Here" album, they made the mistake of choosing PledgeMusic as a distributor. What followed has been nothing less than an absolute scandal.

First, the stated fulfilment date of the digital download (23/03/18) was missed by three days. When the album was finally made available, the files were corrupted and unusable. No updates, apologies, or responses to customer queries were given. Instead, my question was met by a generic stock answer from a bot and marked "solved" without my consent. A couple of days later, the files were uploaded again, only this time, they were even worse than the first batch! A few days later, PledgeMusic took responsibility for the problem and apologised, claiming that a functional batch of files were about to be uploaded. The FLAC files were MOSTLY fine (with a couple of tiny issues), but the MP3 version - UNBELIEVABLY - still had serious errors. Rather than just ripping one of the numerous CD copies in their possession, solving the problem in a matter of minutes, they instead took all of the files down and promised a clean copy would be uploaded "next week". An ENTIRE MONTH LATER, no new upload has arrived, and one actually has to ASK for a refund!

Claims of "technical difficulties" are an absolute nonsense. Ripping a CD is in no way a technically challenging task. I've been doing it myself since I was eight years old. There is absolutely no excuse for this lazy, inconsiderate conduct, not for the infuriating lack of communication with their paying customers.

Apologies are worth nothing without remedial action. If they truly felt guilty about their disgraceful conduct, they'd do the right thing and immediately cease ALL commercial activity until the severe problems plaguing this organisation (as evidenced by nearly all of the reviews here on Trustpilot) had been fixed. They haven't done that. Instead, they've chosen to continue taking a 15% cut of artists' profits in full knowledge of the reputational damage their awful customer service on behalf of the artist will bring, and to continue taking fans' money for products they have no intention of actually delivering.

Let this be a warning to artists and music fans alike: If you make the mistake of doing business with these complete and utter clowns, the experience will almost certainly be a living nightmare for all involved. Stay away.
