**Update due to the businesses reply - this reply ONLY FURTHER EVIDENCES MY POINT, which they would know if they could UNDERSTAND ENGLISH!! Additionally, Plum Guide even reached out to me after I wrote this review months ago saying that they would give us a 500 GBP credit for a future stay if I removed my review and I said NO, WHY WOULD I WANT A CREDIT FOR A SITE NO ONE USES, as it is IMPOSSIBLE TO WITH THE CUSTOMER SUPPORT BEING INCOMPETENT (i.e. for example one reason I reached out is that they have areas ENTIRELY MISCLASSIFIED!! As in, they have areas on LONG ISLAND HOURS AWAY from the Hamptons listed as the HAMPTONS!! I used to own a house in the Hamptons when I was living full time in Manhattan and contacted them about this as just ONE of many basic issues their idiotic platform messes up!)
As stated and was CLEAR in my review IF YOU SPEAK ENGLISH, THE LACK OF RESPONSE WAS FROM PLUM GUIDE CUSTOMER SERVICE, NOT HOSTS!! Literally the chat window sitting with unanswered questions for days, the ONLY things they ever said were cut and pasted "what can I help you with?" then you'd paste your message again, see it was read, and NEVER RECEIVE A REPLY!!
We had NO issues contacting and speaking to hosts! So now they are just further proving their utter incompetence and complete lack of comprehension of the English language.
Utterly useless, I honestly wonder if anyone has ever even used their site, considering you cannot get a human being in customer service that speaks English or French - it seems UK companies have gone the way of Airbnb etc, sending everything to people in India, or bots, who don't understand ANYTHING you say. But thats actually being generous, as they literally don't even REPLY with anything aside from "what can I help you with?" - um, maybe read the above which lengthily describes exactly that?!
Not once received a reply from ANYONE aside from that, then nothing, so I honestly suspect its just bots (and to be fair, have never known anyone to use the platform, and this is as an Airbnb super host for some of my investment properties I rent out since 2011, desperate to part ways with Airbnb - it would be SO EASY for anyone to become a competitor, I always wonder how they STILL have such a monopoly until I try to deal with even greater uselessness and idiocy like plum guide (and don't get me started on the absolute dumps they have on their platform that look like low budget student rentals, yet allege to "screen" so you don't have to. Sorry, but your properties being 100-250 pounds a night, main photo for the first result showing a 1990s air-conditioning window unit, run down flat, crappy furniture, is NOT filtering anything out - unless you're looking for a garbage budget short term vacation rental.

Plum Guide's honest appraisal of their properties and their locations is a main attraction, as well as the generally superior offerings, in terms of locations and comfort. My specific location, Eyeful of Eiffel, was wonderful. The bathroom was roomy and well heated and the kitchen was well equipped. All round very comfortable and will positioned in terms of Metro lines.

Plum Guide's platform is based on curated properties.
They do the work , so you only get the best. Not so.
This flat was very nice, but far from what we expected from Plum Guide
Our rental had at least 8 issues that ranged from badly stained carpet, broken mirror table, light bulb missing from major lighting fixture in living room, drawers that would not open and more.
Several these issues were addressed by host after some time. Several were not.
All of these mostly small issues added up to a less than wonderful guest experience.
The ONLY reason I gave 2 stars was that Plum Guide offered a small refund for our disappointment with the flat.
Plum Guide does not provide reviews by previous guests. If they did, they might have mentioned the noisy elevator that adjoined the flat.
There is no transparency on how that flats are selected for their platform. I'm sure it is some kind algorithm.

Tried to book an amazing property for a big family holiday (for a parents 70th birthday) in November 2025. I understand that the requested bookings have to be accepted by the host and they have 72hours to respond.
The host allowed the link to expire and then messaged to say that they had not changed the fees for peak time. The new cost was over £300 extra per night for the booking. This is a scam/rip off. My family and I are very shocked by this and appalled at this disingenuous service. Would not book/attempt to book with them again.
Update: Plum Guide responded to my complaint and offered a £150 voucher. They have also raised a case to get the host reviews as they agree pricing should be transparent. This is a great response from Plum Guide following the host trying to change the price. I will update if I do book with them.

I am on a very long trip through Europe and have booked through Plum Guide multiple times on this trip. Each time the booking process has been flawless. The villa/apartment always matches the listing and never disappoints. What they lack in sheer volume compared to other sites, they more than make up for in the quality of their listings. Each person/company managing the properties I have booked have been wonderful to work with and I have met people that I now consider friends.
I will be recommending Plum Guide to everyone!
