Positive experience A+++ service

My experience with Plusnet does not reflect all the negative comments left her. I have always found the contact centre professional, friendly and answer all my queries with no issue. Nothing but a positive experience with Plus net so not sure what happened in everyone else's situation.

Terrible experience.

Absolutely the worst experience I’ve had with a phone/broadband provider EVER! I would not recommend this company to anyone, and they should be ashamed that they make false claims about how great their customer service is! TalkTalk were 1000 times better and they were rubbish, so please if anyone is considering moving to Plusnet, save yourself the grief and don’t do it!

Slow speed and no customer service

I paid for the cheapest deal but still, download speeds of 1mbps took the Michael.

Also won’t renew customers on the same deal as new customers. That I guess is standard practice. But they then tried to rip me off with slower speed for more money than even the next rival never mind their own deals!

What a way to treat a customer.

I now have internet 70 times faster, £10/month cheaper. I won’t be back.

Once my contract is up, I'm leaving never to return

Once my contract is up, I'll be leaving never to return. I came to Plusnet years ago for the service. And how good it was back then. But not now. I've spent the day being cut off and unable to report a fault. I have a problem with my Broadband, 2 kids to homeschool, but can I get through to report the problem? Not a chance. Tried online - that doesn't work. Tried going through to the department who deal with customers who are leaving (you can get through to them), just to be cut off. One guy even took my account details, but after cutting me off, never tried to call me back or have someone call me. Seriously, Covid has been around for a year now. Most companies have adjusted and are running their business's smoothly and efficiently. Not this one. I left companies in the past with better service than this. Awful experience never to be repeated. Oh, and if you are thinking of joining them, take a look at how many posts they respond to and try to resolve. Give you an idea of what they think of their valued customers.

PlusNet

PlusNet: Mis-sold contract, dumped to DCA when complaint filed …

I was a Plusnet customer for four years and paid on time even when out of contract. I phoned them ref changing supplier and I was mis-sold a new contract when I simply needed to keep my phone line running until the changeover was complete. I was charged for a full year contract costing over £250 which I immediately disputed. I tried repeatedly to speak to management and was repeatedly fobbed off or ignored. When I finally lodged a formal complaint, my account was immediately handed over to DCA before the settlement deadline. Plusnet now deny all liability. Customer service or sharp operators? What action can I take to block the DCA and get PlusNet to resolve my dispute with them?

Can't answer the phone.

As a telecommunications company they should learn how to answer the phone. They simply don't have enough staff. Fed up of listening to Xmas songs and hanging up after over 20 minutes of waiting. Will try again later.

Cheap, Cheap, Cheap!!!

- WiFi that doesn't connect
- WiFi Router that is only single band
- WiFi signal that is SO poor it won't provide a signal to an adjoining room to the router
- WiFi that ISN'T guaranteed as part of the service
- Technical Support that takes days to respond.

Save your money, time and frustration and choose another ISP!

COMPLETE AND UTTER SHAMBLES AND CONMEN.

COMPLETE AND UTTER SHAMBLES AND CONMEN.

Moved house on the 30/10, we were told that our broadband would go live on the 06/11. When our broadband wasn’t activated I called again and then told it would be the 12/11. Again non existent so I called again, then I was told it would be the 18/11. Guess what no broadband on this date so I rang again and told it would be 25/11. Yet again no broadband activation on this date, so I called to cancel my contract. Then now plusnet have the nerve to charge me a £86 cancellation fee for zero services rendered and threaten to pass the unpaid debt to a debt collection agency if not paid within 14 days. Avoid like the plague.
Absolute shambles.

The Fibre Internet that never WAS!

After 4 years with Plus net, all I can give them is a one big Minus! After weeks of 16mbps internet speed and I am paying for 60mbps £31.99 I am finally leaving them for good!!! I received a email on Friday to tell me my contract was over in January, so I called them to ask for a better deal and if I could have one of their promotions currently going, after a brief conversation with a lady, my hopes were pretty quickly diminished and I was told that this was only available to new customers! So I went shopping for new provider which I have now found and I am moving to them this month. As per the instruction in my email I had to contact them via phone to terminate my contract, after brief call and talk to Asam, I explained my feelings about the whole situation and was told that if I wanted to leave had to pay a termination fee, bear in mind that in the email received, it clearly confirmed that if I cancel before the end of my contract, no such feel will apply! He tried it on anyway! On the same day I received a email from Mark Carbery (COD) to tell me that my line is being taken over by another provider and that I will be charged cancelation fee, the first email said £12.00 and the second, £26.00! Now bear in mi d after the conversation with Asam I received a email to confirm that no such fee will apply! So here we go again I am on the phone yet again to the call centre, having to go through the same conversation with another person, Zeeshan, who was helpful enough to explain that the emails I received were automated (didn't know Mark Carbery) was artificial intelligence and that for me to just ignore! But they could offer me a "great contract" deal for £26.00 a month, after all I had to go through! Now! Why in first place I have to go through this nightmare!? If I want to cancel my contract because you fail to provide the promised speed in your contract and you act like some sort of mafia and make me a last minute offer to save your skins to keep me as a customer!? I have paid my £31.99 until the end of the month, and yet again my speed is 16mbps standing next to my router!!! But you know what? I don't care, because I will convince everyone I know that services you provide are a scam Fibre is only Fibre when you can guarantee a constant speed! You don't care and your practices are awful, if a offer is available should be available for all your customers other only when they want to cancel their contract and they have to go through your mafia process, just to keep them as customers, as if you are doing them a favor!!! Goodbye, in time of hardship, can you afford to loose more customers!?

Patience of a saint!

Patience of a saint!
Having swapped over to PlusNet, I missed the delivery of my router (I had to leave the country at short notice) and when I returned back to the UK, phoned to see if I could use my old router until PlusNet could re-deliver one. The call-handler was amazing. I somehow manged to cut her off (I dropped the landline phone on the floor) and feared that I would need to join the covid-queue again but she rang me promptly back. ‘Let’s try this then’ and, ‘No problem, could you do this on the router and read me out the numbers….’ She was incredibly calm, knowledgeable and determined to try and get my internet up and running for me and spent over 30 minutes with me until my wireless internet was working. I was incredibly grateful and near the near the end of the conversation asked if she would re-send the PlusNet router again…. ‘I’ve already done that, it should be with you shortly’; it arrived the next working day. What I really liked about PlusNet was that the call-handler took ownership of my problem and dealt with it, instead of passing me onto other ‘technical sections’.

Absolutely terrible

Absolutely terrible, my broadband was up and down all the time. Very easy to become a new customer very hard to leave, it’s like hotel California. I had to wait half an hour for them to answer the call. I had to pay nearly £90 to finish the contract with them early. Their broadband is not fit for purpose, stay well away. I would give them no stars if I could they are not good enough for one.

Very annoying. NOT HAPPY

Very annoying. Asked to be moved onto anytime calls. Last month I was told I would have the call plan by this month's paydate.
Looks on my account nothing as changed.
Phones em up to be told person I spoke to last time as not transferred to anytime calls for me.
SO I now have to wait another 4 weeks.

I am so pissed off. With distance to family and Covid. I wanted the resurrance of being able to call free in the day.

Plusnet really could not run a p1ss up in a brewery

Was told 2 weeks to switch after a house move, that was 3 months ago and still waiting to be connected. If that was not bad enough they are still taking the monthly fee, have waited over an hour on the phone many times and get pushed from pillar to post or cut off altogether.

Lies and more lies

Plusnet informed me i could upgrade to fibre broadband and suggested i cancell my existing landline phone package and take out .their
special offer . £4.00 mobile phone sim package instead. I canceled my existing mobile contract with talkmobile and attempted to transfer to plusnet They insisted that this deal did not exist and they would check they recorded phone call with the previous agent. They have never got back to me in over a week. I also rang about my fibre upgrade ordered weeks ago and for which they sent me the new ruter. Their agent informed me the order had not been put through and said hed do that at once. A week later i phoned plusnet again only to be told they could not give me the fibre upgrade they promised. This company can not be trusted and are so unreliable. I had almost joined another less expensive broadband provider but cancelled them based on plusnets promise of a better fibre upgrade.
