Having had numerous appointments over…
Having had numerous appointments over these past few months I can honestly say this dental practice is first class, from the receptionists to the clinicians I was made to feel welcome and quickly put at ease with my concerns.
Special mention to Reshmi, who has been exceptional from the moment I walked through the door.
A friendly and very professional team…
A friendly and very professional team offering an outstanding service. I highly recommend this dental practice.
Umm?
Umm?
TBF I’ve had no treatment but decided I’d ask for a quote for a full set of veneers and messaged them and another practise for a consultation price. I was going to pick who I thought was the most professional in responding.
I had no reply after using their messaging site after 2 days. I then saw an advert on Facebook for £50 consultations and commented that I’d had no response and didn’t find it very professional without being rude.
I was expecting a comment back apologising and asking me to pm them etc and found they’ve blocked me on Facebook ! 😮
Really friendly staff very professional…
Really friendly staff very professional had a tooth extraction which was not an easy job due to the roots being curved dentist done a great job am booked in for further treatment recommend to anyone who needs dental work
Seem happy to take your money and sign…
Seem happy to take your money and sign you up on a monthly plan that includes 2 hygienist and a checkup each 12 months. So far had the hygienist appointment cancelled three times at short notice and so have only had one checkup in 12 months. Works out at £180 for a checkup, I will cancel and look for another dentist when they finally provide me and KEEP the appointment!
First Class Dentist ( Cameran ) 5***** and amazing staff
I am new to this Practice. My dentist is Cameran and I must say how impressed I am with the excellent work I have received from him and the dental Nurse (sorry forgot your name). So far Cameran has done a very difficult filling (back of mouth) and equally difficult Crown for me (Also right at the back of mouth ). I am over the moon with the results. Cameran goes out of his way to make you feel relaxed and confident about work being carried out. He talks you through everything. I haven't been this relaxed and confident in a dentist for such a long time. He will also be doing an Implant for me. I will keep you posted on the outcome of that.
2/5 friendly staff however not very…
2/5 friendly staff however not very forthcoming.
having been with this dentist practice for around 5/6 years, the majority has been pleasant.
however, this year saw the return of the dental plan after 2 years not operating due to covid. (they may have, but only received communication this year, 2022)
my first encounter was with Kirsty, who broke the bad news that 3 fillings were needed.
happy in the chair, but when went downstairs was expected to sign a document signing myself up for nearly £1000 worth of work, despite telling her I would do the fillings one at a time.
filling 1 was with Andrew, lovely guy, great job, filling has lasted well, no issues.
this was on a tooth that had cracked and broken a week before, probably more complex than what's about to unfold.
filling 2 was with chad, despite my request for it to be with Andrew, I Was happy to wait for Andrew as I am not a great fan of the dentist.
chad is pleasant and did what I thought was a great job, I parted with £250 for my filling, in my tooth that before this work was pain free.
a week after the filling, I was in so much pain, I had to return.
to be fair, the filling was removed free of charge.
I was told that the filling was in contact with the nerve and that an infection was causing the pain.
this would now need a root canal or extraction.
£250 wasted....(1 week of my new filling)
so as we go through the options, I am told the root Canal is £800 and they would try to cover with a filling post root canal treatment, this would come at a cost of a further £250.
worst case scenario, we would have to put a crown on it (£600)
having got my head around having to pay between £1050 - £1400 for a tooth I had already spent £250 on, with no pain prior, I booked myself in.
today I had the root canal, with mohammed.
again, can't fault the staff, friendly professional pain free service. however, when i go to the front desk to pay the £800, I am shocked when im told it will 100% need a crown (not been looked at yet) and further fillings?
the cost of these were now £775 for a crown and a further £125 for further fillings.
quite different to what was verbally agreed previously.
I have already wasted £250 on a filling that lasted 7 days, on a tooth that to me was not problematic, had chronic tooth pain for the last 4-5 weeks since all this began and am now being stung further.
the bill for one tooth could exceed £2000 by the time this is over.
forget pain in the chair, the most painful eye watering part is finding out what other hidden costs you'll incur at the front desk.
Excellent service all round!
Saw Kelly the hygienist. Excellent service as always, friendly and efficient. New water cleaning system for teeth instead of the old scraper! Much more comfortable and not painful, much better for sensitive teeth like mine. Ten out of ten!
Had my dental check up with Andrew,no…
Had my dental check up with Andrew,no problems,I have implants and it's important to look after them so they last. Lovely staff,1st class treatment, competitive fees,
If we as patients look after our teeth it's financially viable to us in the long run.
great dental practice
have always had good service here ,which ever dentist i`ve seen over the years , all staff very friendly and helpful
BEWARE New Clients
Had an hours hygienist appointment today. Arrived at the dentist on time for a 2pm appointment and waited 8-10 minutes for my appointment. I was charged £150 for an hours appointment despite my total time at the dentist surgery being no more than 40mins including the waiting time. I was then recommended by the hygienist to book an additional half an hour follow up appointment in 3 months at a cost of £75 and a deposit of £50 was taken upfront for this appointment. To me this dentist surgery is out to grab money and as a new client I do not trust their charging policy. My hygienist appointment was not an hour. I have now declined the next hygienist appointment and my deposit is being refunded.
Stay away they only want your money
Well where do I start, I've been in so much pain for a week now due to having a descale and polish where I've got a gum infection happens near on every time I have a descale and polish, so I called the practice to speak to the dentist Chad to ask him to prescribe me some antibiotics, he was out having lunch so the receptionist said she will speak to him this was Thursday, he won't give me antibiotics unless I pay £200 first, and they won't see me until Tuesday!! So unless I pay them £200 they will leave you in pain. I believe all the reviews are fake. And I would stay well clear of these robbers. All they won't is your money they don't care about your health
I have had 2 dental implants procedure…
I have had 2 dental implants procedure and I must say the whole experience was excellent Dr Badiani is such an amazing dentist not only was the procedure very quick it was also painless.
I would recommend this practice to anyone, the staff are extremely friendly and I felt really relaxed and confident.
Scared of the dentist ? I was but not any more !
Scared of the dentist ? I was....so much so that it took me two years to pluck up the courage to make an appointment.....that's two years with split front teeth ! I didn't need to worry. Mitesh and then team have been amazing. OK...it was expensive (what isn't these days) and it did hurt a bit (that was to be expected) but I am now the proud owner of two new implants (still feel a bit like Bugs Bunny but I dont look like him). Huge thanks to the team for putting me at ease and, yes, I would go back (never thought I'd admit that ). Thank you
Experience so far
I don't normally leave this kind of feedback as it is rare to find honest people this day in age. At first I thought, expensive! But when I realised for the first time in 15yrs my long serving dentist has never raised the issues that Chad my new fantastic northern mate has. Through no fault but myself, I believed my teeth/gums were being checked annually, how wrong was I! Would you believe i never even had a clean by the hygienist, always told, good cleaning keep it up. Anyway, so far my experience with the, I can only assume "the new kid on the block (Chad)" as he doesn't have a nameplate outside yet, has been fantastic!!!! Cheers Pete, not sir ;)
Bad experience all around.
I visited the practice on their Oct 2021 open day regarding an Invisalign treatment consultation but was dissatisfied with the service I received for several reasons and I did not have any confidence in the dentist Kirsty that I saw. This was because she hurt me during the inspection of my teeth, needed help to work the scanning system on the computer even though she carried out Invisalign treatments and could not answer my basic questions. I was told that if I booked a Clean Check which cost £250 and was a non-refundable then my questions would be answered then.
For better clarification of what should be answered in the first consultation, I spoke directly to Invisalign. They advised that my 3 questions should have at least been answered – What the cost would be. How long treatment would take. Expectations - what the Dentist thought the outcome would be, whether it was possible to do the treatment or not etc.
I had previously seen another practice and had a free consultation and all 3 of these questions were answered.
I then wrote to Aleks Srokosz in the surgery with my concerns and the lack of confidence i had with Kirsty and asked if he could do the treatment for me. I was angry with the reply letter as it said that the dentist I saw, Kirsty had put on my notes that I would need to see a specialist. The specialists were outside of Plymouth. Kirsty had not mentioned in my consultation with her that the result was that i needed to see a specialist. What she had said was that if the treatment was more complex then I would be referred to Aleks Srokosz and would I like to book a Clean check with them, which is the next step, of which I said I would have a think about first. Where did the specialist bit come from? If this was so, why would I know about the Clean Check. Also, why would I waste mine and the dentist Aleks time by writing to him.
I would not be recommending them to anyone.
The one star I gave is for the goody bag I was given on the Open day.
I’ve been scared of the dentist for…
I’ve been scared of the dentist for years and hadn’t been for over a decade and came here terrified but they’ve eased me every time and supported me while providing excellent dental care . They are amazing. I had surgical extraction and it wasn’t scary at all. They’re truly amazing
Amazing service
Amazing service, amazing staff all happy smiley and very welcoming would definitely recommend.
What a team!!
What a team! Supriti and Sam, dentist and nurse were supremely kind and caring of a person with a lifelong fear of dentists. If they had been the team I met when I was a child, everything could have been different. Their compassion and understanding are the stuff dreams are made of! All the staff I have met there are a credit to the practice and I cannot thank them enough.
Plymouth Dental Highly Recommended
I’ve been with Plymouth Dental for many years now and will be for many more years, I’d recommend them in a heartbeat. For me, all the staff and every aspect of their dental service is excellent from friendly and helpful to expertise and professionalism. Thank you Plymouth Dental.
