These boots are absolutely beautiful!!!!
I live in Australia and so I ordered them two months ahead of when of when I needed them to arrive, as they came from London. They arrived four days after ordering and I was mindblown! The boots were stunning and the fit was spot on! My mum always said that if you buy quality, you only buy once, and that is what Po Zu is. Beautiful, Comfortable, and Ethical! Buy from Po Zu, people. You were lucky with the prompt shipment as we have been experiencing massive issues with couriers companies for the last 4-6 weeks now, i'm guessing its been down to COVID infections and staff shortages, like we have all faced, however the ability to speak to anybody in customer services, in an attempt to help, in the key courier companies has been a nightmare.
Probably non-existent !
The boots are hand made in Portugal, and have been a hugely popular item within the collection for the last 4-5 years.

I love the Butterfly trainer. They look classy enough to be worn as casual workwear and also last really well – I bought my first pair in 2020, the exact same design. This time I bought two of the same pair in the sale! Even better that they are sustainable.

Unexpected decline in customer service
I currently own 9 pairs of Po-zu shoes, and have always found their customer service to be efficient, courteous, and generally very helpful. I love the company ethos and the shoes I have are well made and generally excellent.
I am therefore especially disappointed to have placed an order on the 20th December and received no further communication after the initial email confirmation. I wrote on the 5th January to gain a shipping update, and have heard nothing.
I'd ordered two pairs of slippers, which have now been further reduced in the sale, while I'm still waiting for any indication that my order will be fulfilled. The Ella shoes are not even appearing on the website anymore, which I feel bodes ill.
I do understand the limitations and difficulties brought by Covid, but really expected much more from a previously trusted and loved brand.

The two pairs of slippers have been dispatched and will be with you early next week, i am afraid the final item has sold out and not available, we have refunded this, in full this evening.
We have experienced issues with our warehouse, having to close for 10 days and losing 90% of our staff with COVID related illnesses. I am delighted to say that all 4 warehouse staff are safe and well and fully recovered.
Apologies but the staff remain a thoroughly important asset in the business and they must come first.
Losing the ability to access and operate through our warehouse was a real challenge and caused us noticeable issues at our busiest time of the year.
You are 1005 correct the level of service hasn't been up to our normal level and for that please accept my apologies, we are working tirelessly on the back log and trying where we can to speak to as many of our customers daily, as we can.

Instead of bothering me with this questionnaire, focus more on getting the product out the door to your paying customers first!
I understand from your responses to other bad reviews that you’re short-staffed due to quarantaine measures, and I don’t have to walk around barefoot (yet), but if the first communication I receive from your end is not an apology and an update when you WILL get around to sending me my purchase, but instead a rather annoying request for a PRODUCT & SERVICE REVIEW... You can’t really expect me to give you a positive rating.
EDIT: I’d like to amend my review with a response to David: Thank you for your quick response. I am quite understanding of the challenges your business is facing, but as always communication is key. A simple e-mail with an update of the situation would prevent a lot of grief.
All that being said, I am still in need of proper sustainable & ethical boots, but my old ones might just last a few (3) weeks more.

The automated review request is being withdrawn as its annoying and unnecessary.
We have had our challenges - there is absolutely no getting away from that and when people are concerned we take this seriously.
OK your particular boots unfortunately will not be shipped, as we do not have your size available, i will authorize a full refund immediately. This particular style exceed our own expectation in the run up to the Christmas period.
Considering your own experience your probably will not be interested, however the VIM is just being ship from Sri Lanka to our warehouse as we have been able to obtain more production at short notice and will be with us in around 3 weeks.
Please accept my apologies for this experience and for the business not being able to deliver a product you ordered.

I'm afraid you have me again as we are struggling with staff sickness within the business, so its all hands to the deck!!! We have experienced a challenging 2-3 weeks with COVID, staff sickness, (thankfully all the employees are safe and fully recovered), poor service by our courier partners and a warehouse closure, all part of the joys of owning a business!!!
Really happy that your experience was positive, this is what we all aim to achieve. Sometimes we do make mistakes and errors happen with our external partners, but we always try and help, be transparent, and look at ways as to how we can resolve any issues that could crop up.
