Pod point is not very good
You can’t get hold of customer service. Chargers are not compatible with intelligent octopus and no plans to do software update to allow this. Constantly trips. They are in effect rubbish. Do not buy.

After sales are terrible waiting 8 Weeks for an appointment that gets cancelled by the company no return calls just absolutely useless and would not recommend them to my worse enemy
Don’t use PodPoint at Tesco.
Went to Tesco and used podpoint to charge my car. Only 7kw. Instructions said lights would flash to confirm charging but they didn’t. So tried again. Still no lights but PodPoint had taken two separate £30 from my card. Eventually realised that although slow slow my car was charging. We waited an hour and a half to get only 60 miles! Eventually PodPoint charged me £35.24 which is 58 pence a mile. That’s disgraceful and highway robbery.
Poor product and poor service
My charger intermittently after charging for around half an hour. I’ve rung podpoint three times but I am unable to understand the person answering the phone and they refuse to connect me to the relevant department to sort out the problem
Their online support is difficult to negotiate and when they eventually respond with questions, I cannot answer because it is an email address that cannot be replied to.
I would never recommend this company.
Customer service? Whats that???
while being a member of pod point, i built up a little bit of credit while i was awaiting installation of my home charger.
I decieded to close down my account, and while the value is not significant, it is still my money ( £12)
After numerous emails with generic repsonses over a 2 month period, i still did not have my refund and all they could tell me is that it has been refunded to the original payment method.. which it hasnt. They cannot even tell me which method that is. I have tried to call but alas, Pod Point do not see it fit to acutally speak to somebody verbally. Avoid at all costs
Avoid Pod Point: A Frustrating and Disorganised Experience
I strongly recommend looking elsewhere for an EV charger installation. Our experience with Pod Point has been exhausting from start to finish.
After ordering the charger and requesting a quote for installation (which required groundwork), we spent weeks sending images and going back and forth with different customer service reps before finally getting approval. Even then, it took far too long to schedule the work.
Pod Point repeatedly failed to meet their own response times, promising callbacks that never happened and asking us to keep our line open with no follow-up. When the groundwork team arrived, they had no clear instructions and carried out the work too far foward.
It then took several more weeks, and countless calls and emails, to get a technician out. During installation, they drilled through our Wi-Fi cable, leaving us without internet until BT could fix it. The external cabling was done to a poor standard, with glue messily left around the render.
Despite agreeing with customer service that the charger should be fitted through the side wall, the technician went through the front wall which is a clear sign of poor internal communication. On top of that, he was missing a necessary part, so the charger couldn’t be used until yet another technician visit weeks later.
After raising all these issues with Pod Point, their only response has been that they “understand our frustrations”, with no real resolution, and continued missed deadlines for follow-ups.
We paid nearly £3,000 and received a stressful, poorly managed experience in return. Save yourself the hassle and go with a more reliable provider.
Do not use!
Do not use! Find other EV charger! Absolutely useless customer service! After just one year of having podpoint, our charger broke last month, reported it, they gave us a date for an engineer to come but nobody turned up. We’ve been asking for explanation- nothing, new appointment not until another month! Absolutely disgusting customer service!!
awful
awful, used in durham shopping centre car park charge points. Dreadful complicated app that takes money and then doesnt charge. why is this so complicated?? why not simply charge card or credit card operation.
Don’t Buy a Podpoint Home Charger
Installation went reasonably well; but after a month or so the charger malfunctioned and podpoint seem totally uninterested in fixing it. Have called them 3-4 times, but they don’t respond. Full cost was about £1,500. I deeply regret using this company and am considering suing them as the device is not fit for purpose.
Went through the whole process and…
Went through the whole process and after 10days they emailed me to say that extra work would be needed. I was told to reply to the email, which I did. No response received and when I tried to phone the company I couldn’t get through, and just kept on hold. Awful customer service!!

POD points are terrible I can’t complain it can’t recognise my sire name the complaint system doesn’t work. I can’t understand how they are in business.
Worst company
Worst company, v. difficult to get hold of them, I order EV charger in December/2024 still no installation, although DNO was updated by northern power grid, but unable to get installation scheduled, every time I call had to listen message for more than 30 mins and then somebody answer and hangs up if they continue, they would say let me connect you to operations as you have approached to customer service. Then again you have to wait forever. I have requested a refund by email, still haven’t received reply,
Absolute Joke.
Don't bother with Pod Point. Find another EV charger. There is no after service or customer care. Phone calls are ignored, and the automated service is rubbish too. Had too take a holiday today for a technical that I've been trying to arrange for over a week and he didn't even turn up. No calls or updates from Pod Point. Useless.
I cannot get hold of Podpoint
I cannot get hold of Podpoint. I have sent several service request via email..no response tried their customer services number (supposedly 24/7) no one answers. You simply cannot get hold of them.
No response from customer service
I recently had solar panels installed and my pod point stopped charging my car (overnight). I contacted customer service through the website and no one contacted me me.. so 2 days later I called the customer service line. 40 minutes at number 1 in the queue before some idiot who would not let me get a word in edgeways answered. I had to go to the charger to do a reset (despite doing this 3-4 times my self previously)... I have a poor mobile phone signal no landline so I gave the chap my number to call me back in case I got cut off - I did no call back.... SO later that day I called again and was subjected to that dreadful hold music but only for 35 minutes this time - I got through to a useful person _ Mark I think his name was. He 'fixed' my problem with a settings update - low and behold my car charged there and then and also charged overnight.
Since then my car has not charged, I tried to call again and after 30 minutes at number 1 I have e-mailed them again - still no contact...
I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND PodPoint to anyone - If it wasn't a costly thing to do I would bin my current charger and get a different brand. I am very lucky that I have a hybrid, anyone with a full EV would be stuck not able to drive their vehicle.
Pod point update from last week
Update from last week, phoned pod point today 03/03/25, told still waiting for schedule team to allocate appointment, asked for manager call back as the situation is completely unacceptable, you’ve guessed it right still no appointment and in keeping with the poor customer service no call back from the manager.
“Don’t deal with pod point”
Extremely Poor Customer Service
*********Should be no Stars but you have to rate*********
Please read carefully, I’ve had the displeasure of having to contact Padpoint as my Charger failed whilst charging my car, had a service call booked for Thursday 09:00 - 16:00 (27/02/25) the engineer failed to turn up and didn’t have the decency to call and keep us updated, I’ve spent an average of 2hours waiting alt place number 1, to then have to speak with the customer service team whom seem to think its funny, staff on the phone line are completely incompetent they are more interested in sending emails to each other trying to find out why the engineer never turned up rather then focus on resolving the issue by sending the engineer out ASAP, the service /repair, now over two days over due leaving me without a charger and as of 18:00 hours today and over 4 hours on the phone still have no appointment to repair my charger.
**Please don’t buy your home charger from PodPoint***

It is clear that pod point make every effort to prevent any communication from their customers or to pay their bills.
All numbers are automated and no one responds to simple email requests.
Their financial performance is in the news also so clearly something needs to drastically change
Faulty product and awful customer service. Avoid.
Charger cable stuck in my home charger. Pod point are doing nothing about it. Customer service is awful, never reply or action the fault. Wait on the phone for ages, caller number 1 for most of that time. Shocking company and product.
AVOID.

15 mins wait so far as number one in queue, customer service is useless. Podpoint won't release the charger cable, we've only used it twice, it stuck the first time too. Jaguar sent an engineer to our house and he was completely stumped. Podpoint on the wall is now loose. Avoid!
