Good luck running after your order if you order at Polaroid

I ordered online and despite the delivery time (mentioned while ordering )which was three days, I received my order three weeks later, and the worst part, during these three weeks no updates, no respond from customer service, no updates on profile. I literally assumed the website was a scam. After my order was delivered one part was not what I want, I reached out for return three time in two weeks, still no news.

Terrible customer service and product

Terrible customer service and product

Their customer service team puts you through the wringer only to offer nothing and they are very defensive.

The film expires and needs to be kept in cold conditions- something they don’t make very visible on their packaging. The expiry date is etched and invisible to the eye. The note on 12 months expiry in the packaging is lost amongst all the ofher information on the packaging. Storage info is listed INSIDe the packaging- you have to tear the whole thing apart to get to it.

Despite telling them all of this they will blame you!!

Received a faulty product, slow customer support

Received a faulty product, and it took longer than expect to get a response from customer support. Reached out numerous times with nothing back, it started to get frustrating. However, once I finally got a reply, the support received was very helpful and polite, the customer service agent was able to help with my issue quickly and efficiently.

Nonexistent customer service, terrible return process

UPDATE:
Today, a full 30 days after shipping my defective unit and absolutely no communication or tracking information, I received an email showing an order summary for a $149 transaction, minus $149 with a coupon code, and the message "We’ll send your tracking information as soon as your order is ready to ship." Nothing else.

I have no idea if they are sending a new unit, a refurbished unit, or if they've repaired the broken unit I received. I'll update once I get more information and/or receive a package in the mail.

ORIGINAL COMPLAINT
I purchased a Polaroid 4×6 personal printer at the Black Friday sale on the Polaroid website. I gave it to my daughter as a Christmas gift. Upon opening, we saw that the power button was jammed into the unit at an odd angle. We thought it might be an issue of merely needing to be gently pulled forward; however, it is an obvious factory defect. The unit would not power on and the power button was inextricably jammed into the unit at a steep angle.
Polaroid support is abysmal. There is NO number to call and online support consists of an AI bot directing customers to submit tickets. Worse, I had to wait FOUR DAYS to receive an automated response to my ticket, along with a return label to send the unit back. At no point did I ever interact with a human. Worse, once a unit is sent back, there is NO WAY to track it. As of today, it has been 23 days since I mailed my unit. No confirmation that it was received, no way to track its progress, and no word as to whether I will ever receive a refund, a replacement product, or a refurbished unit.

I not only lost money on this printer, but also on the (now useless) expensive photo paper/ink cartridge package, sold separately but required to use the printer.

Be warned - Reddit is full of complaints about similar issues (poorly made units and people forced to blindly send faulty units off, never to see them again). And you will not find a human to assist you. I wish I'd known this, as I would not have ordered. Polaroid is not the company it used to be.

Not fit for purpose for real-life events — and an exhausting support experience

UPDATE: I sent the items back and received a partial refund, without any prior communication, outcome of inspection, findings etc. They had deducted the cost of the film even though I had sent the photos back as an example of the defect. When I contacted them to raise this, I received the usual rude reply. To save my sanity, I have stopped engaging with this individual, who is very clearly in the wrong job, and raised a Section 75 chargeback request through my credit card provider as per the UK consumer law protection for goods that are not fit for purpose. If anyone else is in the same situation, I would urge you to do the same.

ORIGINAL REVIEW

I purchased a Polaroid camera, accessories and multiple packs of film to create a live guest book at my wedding in the UK, and to capture memories on my honeymoon in Paris.

The problems began at the wedding itself, close to home, before any travel took place. Despite careful and reasonable use, the camera and film consistently failed to produce usable photographs. I now have no usable Polaroid images from my wedding, which is something that cannot be replaced.

The handling of the issue by customer support has been deeply frustrating. Requests to escalate the matter were repeatedly ignored, and at one point I was simply told that my concerns had been “addressed and clarified” — a conclusion reached by Polaroid, not by me.

Across multiple responses, responsibility was repeatedly shifted onto technique and conditions. I was advised that the camera struggles indoors, outdoors, with light, without light, with shade, without shade, beyond a very short distance, without perfect flash reflection, or if a photo encounters light during development. The cumulative message was that unless conditions are near-perfect, poor results are to be expected — which raises serious questions about how fit this product is for normal, real-world use, especially at events.

To compound matters, I was initially supplied with the wrong camera model, which I raised with support at the time. Due to lead times before the wedding, I had no practical option but to proceed anyway.

The returns process has involved contradictory advice, multiple tickets for separate orders, expiring return labels, and a general sense of procedural obstruction rather than resolution. At times I felt less like a customer and more like a persistence test, guided by an agent, who I won't name. Let's call them 'Tabriela' for the purpose of this review.

I accept that instant photography has limitations. What I do not accept is a product that fails under normal conditions, followed by a support process that avoids escalation, shifts blame, and declares matters resolved without customer agreement. This experience has been profoundly disappointing from start to finish.

I have now returned the items and am awaiting inspection. However, after repeated requests for the same information — including multiple demands for scanned photos and film batch codes that had already been provided — my confidence in a fair and timely resolution is low. If this matter is not resolved promptly and in full, I will be pursuing a chargeback via my credit card provider. This has been far more stressful and time-consuming than any customer experience should be, particularly given the significance of the occasion involved.

I have no idea when I’ll get my refund back — their customer service is like a black hole. Definitely not recommended to buy from their official website.

Have to send faulty camera back to usa!

I paid a lot for a small digital camera it wouldn't charge from new I bought a new cable still wouldn't charge. As I was looking after my terminally ill mum it just got put to one side until I could deal with it. Polaroid make it as difficult as possible to get anywhere. There reply stated first fully charge the camera which showed it's just a pro forma reply. They added that all returns must be sent back to the USA which is hardly practical particularly when they have site in this country. They ask for reams of info and every time you reply to them they want you to include the previous messages which they don't so you have to copy and paste it in. I would advise against buying Polaroid as there quality control is obviously lacking if a camera made it through that won't charge despite buying a new cable. Either in or out of warranty it's like swimming in treacle trying to communicate with them, life's to short for their " happy to help" then don't,
complicated warranty process

120€ down the drain because the return policy is 2 weeks and someone from Polaroid’s approval.
Serisouly, do not buy Polaroid products.

Awful customer service - would never use again

This is for a review of Polaroid (UK) themselves, rather than any specific item.

I purchased a bundle consisting of a Polaroid Go Generation 2 Instant Camera, a Polaroid Go Camera Case and Polaroid Go Color Film Double Pack - three items in total.

When the order arrived, only the camera and film were in the box - the case was not there. I had received no notification from Polaroid that the case wouldn't be posted, or that the order would be complete. The shipping note within the box only had reference to the camera and film as well - it was as if the case had not been ordered.

I contacted Polaroid and within a few hours (to be fair to them the initial response time to my query was the only good thing about the whole experience with them) they responded with a glib apology ('we're sorry your order was not complete') and then told me that the case was out of stock. When I queried why they had not informed me the case was out of stock when placing the order, or that the order was going to be incomplete when posting the order, they didn't respond.

As this set was a birthday gift I asked if they had the case in another colour, and if so, if I could return the camera I had received to them and they then replaced it with a camera and case of the same colour, but there was no response this time. When I chased this email, they eventually responded to tell me that there were no cases in stock at all (in any colour) and that they were refunding the cost of the case. They also offered to refund the camera I had received if I wanted to return it. And they threw in a 10% discount code on future orders (not that I will be ordering anything from them again after this experience).

I have managed to order the case from Amazon, but at more than double the price they refunded me (I've no idea what the case should cost on its own as it was part of a bundle) but because of Polaroids sheer incompetence and poor customer service I am now effectively out of pocket as I have had to pay more for the case (£25) then the refund (£11.68).

My feeling from this is that Polaroid is an incredibly poorly run company with little to no idea what customer service should be (how can you post an incomplete order and not even acknowledge it) and I will never deal with them directly again.

poloroid Lab easy to use, image qualitity mid range

Bought a polaroid lab, mid range review as the quality of the images is a little poor. The lab/ poloroid can't really cope with high dynmic range in images and tend to be quite dark. So, it might not suit everyone, but some people might want this specific look.

Support from poloroid was initially a little sparce but did get some decent advice once I sent some pictures for them to look at.

Dreadful quality images and overpriced rubbish

My husband bought me a Polaroid now+ retro camera with extra film and the strap. The quality of the photos is absolutely dreadful and each photo takes 15minutes to develop....which needs to be done on a clean flat surface upside down (really useless for outside photography) The film works out at £2 per photo...for grainy blurry rubbish images! I'm so angry my husband has wasted his money on this. The reviews at the time were clearly paid or fake as it is trash. Polaroid which was once a fantastic business should be ashamed of themselves.
