We listed our house for sale with Poole Townsend in September 2025. Had a bad feeling from the start when we were unhappy with the majority of their photographs and ended up using some of our own. Staff we met were awkward and not forthcoming with guidance or support. During the 5 months we were with them we had no communication from them except the few times they called to request a viewing. I complained to the manager that we were unhappy and felt that they were not doing anything to promote or sell our property other than sticking it on Rightmove. He promised he would do a full review of the listing, look at changing the photos and giving it a general boost and ensure the staff gave us regular updates . Four weeks later none of this has materialised. Today I emailed to tell him we were withdrawing our property to use a different agent in light of the aforementioned. He gave zero accountability for failing to do what he said he would and seemed to suggest it was just the market. To be honest I'm glad we didn't sell with them as it would have been galling to say the least to have had to pay them commission for the absolute bare minimum that they have done. Do yourself a favour and avoid.

Used Poole Townsend recently to sell a bungalow and the legal team for the selling and buying of another property. From the initial valuation visit I have found the team to be professional helpful and friendly. The presentation and the photography were first class. I was kept informed at each stage and completion arranged on designated date. Excellent service all round and I would definately recommend.

If I could give a zero star review I would. Initially I was impressed by the sales approach but learned over time that the bluster of the selling approach did not manifest into a successful sale. The communications was lacking throughout, the advice terrible and no strategy to sell your property. With such as long tie in period your hands are tied until the 5 month period has passed. I would not recommend PT as a selling agent. Seller beware.

Pooletownsend are very professional at selling and renting properties and always happy to help with buying or renting I have always used them They keep you informed with every stage of your purchase or rental I WOULD RECOMMEND THEM 👍👍👍👍👍
