Superb oysters and other fish dishes
A dull March Saturday lunchtime we dropped into The Kitchen for lunch at Porlock Bay Oysters with two damp WCS. We were warmly greeted and the dogs given a small biscuit treat each. A very decent glass of white wine - for us not the dogs. The muscles were the freshest and best cooked I have had for years and the chips - awesome. Potted crab was also excellent. Fish and chips was also available for those who aren't so keen on shell fish. We also bought 10 oysters to have back home. They were a very good size, well packaged with an ice pack. What can I say - fresh and delicious. It is not cheap and nor should it be if you consider the work, care, time and dedication with which Porlock Bay Oysters devote to their environment and business. We will definitely be back - soon I hope.
