I purchased a Bottega Veneta limited edition handbag for the first time on Portero, quite by accident. I did not realize that it was previously owned. After entering my payment details, I then read the fine print and was a little worried as it was non returnable and not brand new. After receiving my order, I was very pleasantly surprised and have enjoyed my new handbag which was no longer available in stores. It was a limited edition and in pristine condition, even thought they advertised it to have a slight imperfection. I would definitely recommend Portero and would use theme again.

Portero has shut it's operation without …

Portero has shut it's operation without informing any buyers or sellers and simply not responding to emails. The maintenance sign is an unprofessional way of dealing with operational issues.

This is very concerning and borderline fraudulent for a company that has been operating for so many years.

They have simply gone missing and avoid any responsibility, payment or return of goods, making their behaviour unacceptable.

Disappointing service and order STILL not received a week later

I ordered my watch a week ago with overnight shipping and I still haven't received it. I contacted Potrero yesterday and left a message asking for a call back but the end of the day - 24 hours later I still don't have a return phone call. I've had to contact them several times for a status update (naturally since I was expecting my watch last week) rather than them calling or emailing me to let me know what was happening. I haven't received an adequate explanation of why a week later I still don't have my watch. Their website says they pride themselves on their service, but sadly I haven't been on the receiving end of any level of service that I can say anything positive about. Very disappointing...

Update:
I called again last week and left another message asking customer service to call me back and STILL no reply. The website has now been down for several days as well. I was supposed to receive a refund of my shipping costs due to the delays and that hasn't been processed over a week later. A refund of my shipping is the bare minimum I am due for the hassle. I chuckle as I read the replies some posters have gotten to "feel free to call customer service" since you can't actually reach a human being. I did finally receive the watch, although the band size is smaller than advertised and I now have to pay for extra links which will add probably another $1K in expense. Everyone screws up and it's how you deal with it that determines if I will do business with you again. Their total lack of response to their mistakes says all you need to know about doing business with Portero.

Unreliable

I purchased a chanel bag from portero and the amount was deducted from my bank account but did not hear from them for 4 business days. Apparently, the website had technical issues for 4 days? After repeatedly contacting them, I received an email that said that my order had been cancelled because the item is "out of stock." As of today, the listing for the bag is still on the site. Weird.
