Sizing is wrong + chemical smell + no breathability

The product is shipped from China, not from the Netherlands. But that's fine, I can live with that. The problem is the sizing and the quality of the product itself. The product reeks of chemicals even without wearing them. Maybe that could go away over a week but after 3 days out of the package, it was still releasing a strong chemical smell. Also, the socks are too warm, not much breathability.

The big issue is the sizing and fit though. I ordered a size 2XL which comes as 26.6cm - 27.1cm. My feet are 26.8cm, so I'm right in the middle of the range of 2XL. The socks felt super tight to the point my toes were crawling inward. I measured the socks, they are around 25cm from toe to heel, loose, unstretched. That means it's got to take a 1.8cm stretch to fit my feet. I contacted Powersock's support, I explained the situation and I provided them with the pictures of the socks with a ruler that shows the actual length of the socks. The problem is that there is no label on the product itself, nothing that tells you what size of socks you have.

I asked their support if they could confirm what size (in mm) a 2XL is supposed to be when loose, unstretched.
So I could choose the right size. They could not answer that question. So, I asked for a refund because I did not want to get other socks that don't fit if they have no idea what size a 2XL is supposed to be.

I returned the socks.
There was no problem with the refund.
Just bear in mind they will refund you total price - shipping fees - shipping fees AGAIN - 1€
So you are actually charged for the initial shipment + return fees + 1€
Generally companies take care of the return fees and they don't charge you 1€ for handling the return.
But that's OK, I'm not even complaining about. I was glad I could get some refund.

I have nothing against their Support team, if anything they reply within 24h which is great.
But they don't even know the actual sizing of their product
and from my experience the sizing chart is wrong. There is also the issue with the breathability of the product and the strong chemical smell.

My recommendation: avoid this product. Spend that money in some Vibram 5 fingers (+ add some extra €) or in some Xero Cloud sandals. Otherwise, these socks would become dust collector in no time.

Avoid Powersocks, if you want trouble free shopping!

Powersocks advertise to have "30-day hassle-free returns", but they have rather "HASSLE FULL RETURNS" - I still wait for my money back and their feedback is unprofessional and late.

On October 26th, 2022 I ordered two pairs of different sizes of socks - to get these fitting best and return these not.

On November 13th I applied for return of a too small pair. On 14th of November I got from them return approval and the UPS shipping label and sent parcel back - so all went, as smooth, as it shall be. Till that time, unfortunately.

UPS tracking system shown successful delivery of return to Powersocks on November 16th, but I did not get the money back, so I checked the status of the return and I realized that Powersocks return system does not show it was returned! I contacted their customer service od December, 3rd and on December, 5th they asked for photo of sent socks (what?!) and date when I had sent them back (although they provided shipping label and they shall know the status from their own system!). I replied to this on December, 6th and till today I have no reply from Powersocks, nor money.

So my conclusion is; if you want trouble free shopping - avoid Powersocks!

Extremely disappointed

Extremely disappointed.

I purchased a pair of the Powersocks 2.0 on the 18th of September 2022. Their FAQ states that the orders are processed within 24 hours of purchase and in my confirmation email, states that my order would be delivered between 4-8 days after my purchase but my order was shipped from China today, 13/09/22, 25 days after my purchase and I have no idea on how long will take for it to reach me.

Lets see if my order will arrive and how good is the quality of their product.

But since it was Made in China the quality is to be looked with a grain of salt.
