What a nightmare

What a nightmare, took almost 2 years to get my money back and then only after I had contacted the Legal Ombudsman ( Tel 0300 555 0333 ) Wasted no end of time writing letters, emailing and phoning Claimline Direct. In the end I contacted my Building Society myself, who confirmed I had paid no PPI and that no correspondence had been received by them from Claimline Direct
Don't give up though - contact the Ombudsman.

I made a claim with claims line direct …avoid at all cost

I made a claim with claims line direct October 2015. None of there work has resulted in any claims being paid. I keep getting told different things each time I have rung them and still no refund of my £495 I paid them. Today I have been told again my claim has not been finalised and I should wait another 5 weeks for my refund. Previously I was told my claims had been unsuccessful and I was to receive a refund in 2weeks. Do not use these people!

Follow up of previous review

Further to two letters of formal complaint to company director, mr Jamie Bradley, we have now received our cheque back for £495 as there was a total claim failur and it has been cashed successfully.
It would appear that they did not receive the first letter hence the non response! Strange they got the second that went to same address and marked in same way to mr Bradley as the first.
My advice would be to not give up, pursue a formal complaint, copy all correspondence to the regulator and promise to start action in small claims court. Be very clear in all correspondence on timeframes and dates and send everything by recorded delivery then they cannot ignore.
DO NOT GIVE UP THE FIGHT TO GET YOUR MONEY BACK AND USE THEIR OWN CONTRACT WORDING IF YOU HAVE A TOTAL CLAIM FAILURE as a lever.
The last thing these small, businesses want is the regulator or courts crawling all over them and examining in detail their unprofessional business practices.
Good luck!

*****SCAM******

I have written a letter to the company MD- apparently! Kristian Rees! I don't think he exsists. Your money rights and swift financial are both con companies that give out fake contracts, and it appears there is no way to get them to pay your money back. I have gone to trading standards, I will send a copy of my email to the government, I am contacting the obmbusdman. Then I shall go to the papers. They have been warned. The call handlers are rude and aggressive! Do not fall for it! It's all a huge con!

Appalling customer service and refusal to reply to formal complaint

After a total claim failure spread over a period of 9 months now trying to get back £495 fee as per conditions on signed contract.
Sent two formal letters of complaint but not even the courtesy of an acknowledgement and to date a refusal to engage in correspondence.
Now copied all letters to government regulator to take case forward and investigate. Will also refer to ombudsman in next 10'days if no result and instigate legal action via small claims court to recover fee. Will also send copies of letters to Sunday times money expert to highlight these shockingly bad business conduct.
DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY unless you have the time, patience and money to lose.

PPI CLAIM

This company took £495.00 off me to help investigate if I was owed ppi. It's now a year and 4 months and despite endless phone calls they have done nothing. Complete scammers. DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES USE THIS COMPANY. You'll be saying good buy to your hard earned money.

claimdirect.co.uk are to be avoided

If you are making a claim for mis-sold PPI you should make it directly to the bank in question; do not engage claimdirect.co.uk. They take your money, hold on to it for a year without doing very much that is effective, possibly hoping that you have forgotten about the money they took from you. I paid them twelve months ago, and their employee just told me that "it was impossible to say how long their investigations would take." meanwhile, of course, my money is sitting in their account gaining interest (for them).

Do not trust this company

Do not use Claim Line Direct. Against my better judgement I was persuaded to use their services and paid them a considerable sum of money. In return they assured me I had a claim and it would all be dealt with in a few weeks, and in the event of there being no valid claims they would refund the deposit immediately. In fact I didn't have any PPI claims and I have had numerous phone calls and e-mails to try and recover my deposit and endless promises. Now well over a year later I have finally received a cheque with my names spelt incorrectly. This outfit are a complete con.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

This company have made me countless promises and guarantees and none of them have happened. I don't think they would know how to tell the truth if they needed to. All they care about is your money. They don't care about you as a person and once you question them about the lies they have told you then their attitude towards you is disgusting. After 10 months I am still waiting. My issues with this company are too long to go in to for this short space in which I can write a review but if I can stop a few people going ahead with this company then I will be pleased. Please choose another company. This company is terrible to say the least.

Lion Claimline PPI Claims-- Northern Rock

Registered with this company in September 2013 regarding several potential claims. Have chased around for months with phone calls, filling in multiple requests for the same information- they even got my date of birth wrong! However, finally they managed to locate PPI on one of my Northern Rock mortgages. I didn't want to accept because there was no element of compensation, but felt badgered, having received many phone calls, into it by one of their employees (CG).
I was informed (June 2014) that it would take up to 28 days to receive the cheque. The same day their finance department phoned offering me a 10% reduction in their fee if I paid by card over the phone. What a cheek! They had not even actioned my claim at this point! Just phoned 0207 1128616-(14.07.2014) to be told that my acceptance was not actioned for 2 weeks and that 28 days is 28 WORKING DAYS!!! Over 6 weeks to get my payment from a company that has legally accepted their guilt. Furious that I have been lied to.
I have no faith or trust in this company any more, by lying to me they have broken whatever trust I placed in them.
I have been awaiting a phone call from a Dylan Deeljur (allegedly a senior Manager-- but who knows that could be a lie too) for over 2 weeks.
My experience? Disgusted by the lie and the lack of service. I am now writing to the FSA with a formal complaint. A Mackay

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!

Do not use this company, First they lost my documents for one of my claims and their reponse was 'tough, you can't claim now'. Not only is this bad customer service but also a breach of data protection!

Then on my other claim, because the amount returned was low, they charged 50% instead of the 25% fee they said on the phone. Their response to this was 'its in the small print'

I advise anyone to claim for PPI directly, the forms are on the website and then you wont pay any fees or have to deal with these cowboys

Easy Peasy-Give the Banks a Squeazy

HI - YOU KNOW HOW FED UP i WAS GETTING WITH THE INCESSANT ANNOYING PHONE CALLS ABOUT PPI? WELL ONE DAY i REMEMBERED SOME CARDS THAT I DIDN'T USE ANYMORE BUT HAD PAID PPI ON AND THOUGH THAT THE BANKS HAD SQUEAZED ME DRY OVER THE YEARS. SO I RANG PPICLAIMLINE ALMOST WITH NO HOPE BUT, TO HELL WITH IT, GIVE IT A TRY. THE PEOPLE ON THE PHONE WERE SO HELPFUL AND MADE EVERYTHING EASY TO DEAL WITH, TO BE FAIR, I WAS EXPECTING A MINEFIELD OF BUROCRACY. NOTHING OF THE SORT. THEY FEEL I HAVE A CHANCE AND ARE DEALING WITH IT ALL. I HAVEN'T HAD A FINAL RESULT YET BUT AS THE SYSTEM IS SO EASY TO LET THEM DEAL WITH IT ALL FOR YOU, THEN ITS WORTH A PUNT, THE BANKS HAVE HAD IT TO EASY AND THEY CAN STILL AFFORD TO PAY RIDICLOUS BONUSES TO BOSSES FOR SCREWING IT ALL UP - WELL THEY CAN AFFORD TO REIMBURSE AS TOO!!

COMFORTING SUPPORT WITHOUT PRESSURE

Although they have only just started my claim, I have to say I felt in no way pressured to go ahead with it. Maybe I was lucky with my contact but she was quite comforting with her advice and assurance that they will do their best for me. I liked their approach and attitude. I hope this carries on with regular updated during my claim.
