DEEP DISAPPOINTMENT WITH PPL SERVICES
I have had long-term positive experience with PPL services; however, a recent incident has left me deeply disappointed.
In the course of my business, I received a shipment containing two control electronic modules, one of which had a value of CZK 70,000. The box was delivered with polystyrene and cardboard padding, and the goods were adequately protected. After receiving the shipment, I repacked the units in exactly the same manner and sent them back to the owner.
Unfortunately, the shipment arrived back in a very poor condition. The electronic modules were completely destroyed – plastic housings shattered, surfaces cracked, connectors torn out, and the aluminum heat sink severely deformed. It is not possible to insert the photographic documentation of the damage to this review. But it should be available on the PPL review page in the Czech company portal Firmy.cz. Damage of this extent could not have occurred through standard handling.
The manner in which the shipment was handled must have been extremely careless, which led me to file a complaint with PPL. Regrettably, the company’s response was highly unsatisfactory. The claim was rejected on the grounds of “insufficient packaging,” rather than acknowledging the clearly improper handling by their staff.
The shipment was also insured for CZK 50,000; nevertheless, no insurance compensation was granted.
I hereby express my deep disappointment and dissatisfaction with the most recent PPL service. This experience has significantly undermined my previous trust in your company.
