Online customer account system has been fixed.

PP&L is a reliable electric distributor (5 stars) but their online customer interface is absolutely worthless (1 star).

When I tried to log in, it simply went around in circles with me by blanking out my user ID and password. It did NOT tell me my user ID or password was invalid, it just blanked them out. I tried in three different browsers and got the same trash.

When I complained to the Better Business Bureau, PP&L first deleted my account so I could create a new one, which I did. This did not fix the problem. Then it said it would open a ticket with its IT department, and that was the last I heard of the matter. When I tried again today, I got exactly the same problem.

Just to be sure I am being fair about this, I tried not only Chrome but also Brave.

UPDATE March 12; the problem appears to have been corrected but it took a long time.

You people are scumbags

You people are scumbags. You know you are scumbags. You do not care that you are scumbags. Hope you are proud of the world you are leaving behind for your children. You are theiving degenerates, possessed by greed.

Constant outages taking hours and hours to resolve

Constant outages with long repair times. Going hours and hours without electricity. This is ridiculous. Why can't you hire people to review trees that are ready to fall down and create a problem. This is insane. My power goes out at least 4 to 5 times per month for several hours. I work from home which obviously I don't get paid when I can't work but I don't think that you care about that because this problem has been going on for years without a resolution. I'm a senior citizen going hours and hours with no heat. PP&L does not care.

Totally absurd and ridiculous, for the money they make providing electric for the Public. Sign of the times with a billionaire and convicted FELON as president of the United States of ( un )America.

Hate this company so much. Reported them to Public utilities commission for illegal activities on my account

Daily power outages

Daily power outages, is the norm for the last several years with nothing being done to fix this. Big storms outages for days and sometimes when the weather is fine. No rhym or reason at this point just not maintained or kept up despite the prices going up.

So I got laid off about 3 weeks ago

So I got laid off about 3 weeks ago. At that point in time I owed money to PP&l. And I was told I could set up a payment plan but I had moved and I had to wait until the first billing cycle. I called to make a payment plan which I had before of approximately $80 a month. Initially I was told I could not do that. I pressed the attendant about how I'm supposed to make a $2,000 a month mortgage payment when I'm making $2,000 a month only. And in addition to that, make payments on PP&l bill. She kept telling me that I had no other options. After pressing her are about three times. Finally, I was able to get her to agree to a payment plan. Additionally, the assistant spoke broke in English which made it difficult to understand. I requested the option of automatic withdrawal. Which would make things you would think easier for them and easier for me. I was told I cannot do that. Other organizations like UGI are more than happy to work with you but not PP&l. They have a Monopoly and they treat their customers like crap!

This company is crooked to the core

This company is crooked to the core. KU, LGE etc are all crooked liars. They don't care about the people. They care about their overall profit. They take away physical buildings and make it harder for elderly and disabled people to get the help they need. Small towns suffer the most.

billing

while I cannot speak in regards to service as of yet, getting setup on PPL’s preferred payment method of AutoPay hasn’t been as elite as the company has claimed. Nevertheless we done so figuring the monthly payments would take effect AUTOMATICALLY! 3 months into our new rental unit, we receive a late due notice from our Landlord, with the recent pay period 2 BUSINESS DAYS PAST DUE! I went through my bank account and saw the amount was not withdrawn. NOW, that time saving (?) set up becomes the headache it’s supposed to prevent. I HAVE TO TAKE THE TIME TO RESEARCH WHY THIS PARTICULAR INVOICE WAS NOT PAID. After going through numerous auto answer service PPL uses I see my account is no longer on auto pay 🤔. what the…. What happened? Nothing on MY end as my bank account has plenty to cover. So the only thing left to conclude is the issue began within PPL’s **** auto pay. nothing from the company except an email receipt of payment received…AUTO PAY. lol. Nothing from an actual rep. So NOW, every upcoming month, I HAVE TO go onto my account and be sure the bills are paid, or its MY credit score *****. I believe this is pathetic behavior from such a large company, and to think PPL has recently asked the PUC for another price increase, saying ‘the weather storms are getting worse…’ No PPL - you’re not keeping proper maintenance of your utility system throughout the state! Instead of handing out bonuses to executives & padding huge profits, KEEP BETTER CARE OF YOUR POWER LINES!!!!!

They are so behind times

They are so behind times. Even the govt and banks are on board. PPL Electric Utilities does not accept stablecoins or any other cryptocurrencies for bill payments. The company has issued explicit warnings that demanding payment via cryptocurrency is a sign of a scam.

The absolute worst Customer Service in…

The absolute worst Customer Service in the entire world! Never been so disgusted in my whole entire life. They talk over you constantly and do not allow you to speak. I asked for My Service to be shut off. They said it was gonna be shut off at 10 o’clock. Somebody else moved into the house and they let it go till 3:30 before they decided to shut it off. Talk about incompetent. They ask at the end of the call would you like to take a survey you say yes and then the person you’re speaking with disconnects you so you can’t leave a review on them. This place should be shut down. Everyone that works there is rude and you can’t understand them. Glad I moved away and never have to use these crappy services again.

Quick response

I can’t praise the workers who showed up Thursday 5/1/25, to McGuire Park Drive, Bloomsburg, to investigate our sudden power outage. Polite and courteous, yes, but the fact that only a small number of homes were affected, and they arrived in about 1/2 hour, from reporting it, just amazes me ! And in 2 hours, the power was restored. We all hear about the bad experience but I wanted to share a great one ! Thank-you !
