Devitt insurance was able to meet my every need for this transition. Premium Credit were then able to put my premium payments into effect. The process was so simple !

Whether it's for personal or business use, insurance is essential for most of us. Since 1988, we have helped millions of businesses and individuals pay for their insurance by spreading the costs over regular instalments, instead of paying the whole premium up front. But that’s not all. We also provide the finance to pay annual costs such as professional fees, membership subscriptions, commercial service charges and school fees. Today, we have over 2.1 million customers using our service and technology to process 24 million Direct Debits and fund advances of £3.6 billion. That's why we're the number one insurance premium finance company in the UK and Ireland. Headquartered in Leatherhead and Dublin we employ over 350 colleagues, including field-based employees providing local coverage across the whole of the UK and Ireland

Lack of care, politeness and threats before even signing!
First interaction (email) from Premium Credit I read stated:
"We provide the finance for your insurance policy with Autoprotect (Mbi) Ltd. This means that we pay the cost upfront and you repay this to us by Direct Debit"
At that point I had no context, no reference to what I had purchased or anything (except my name). And there was nothing relating to what this is referencing throughout any of email.
This was then shortly followed by the threat:
"If we don't receive a completed Credit Agreement by 3rd August 2026, you'll be charged £25.00 to cover the costs we incur reminding you."
Who the hell is this company stating that they'll charge me and I haven't the foggiest idea who they are!
I thought this had to be spam, the email layout was unprofessional and tone completely out of line. Instead of immediately blocking, the timing was a bit suspicious as we'd just purchased a new car, so searching through my emails I eventually found references to Autoprotect who I did take out a policy with. Again, further reading of all the jargon that is sent with these things, there was buried a reference to Premium Credit.
I would have cancelled the policy there and then based on this insulting interaction, but it's a good deal, so I just signed. At the end of the day, I'd be dealing with Auto Protect on a claim, not Premium Credit. They then expect the customer to spend over an hour reading their policy document before signing, which I don't think its viable for any normal customer.
If there was a choice, I'd definitely go elsewhere, and now I know better, I will be avoid them in the future.
All this could be avoided with just better prepared customer journey, more consistent branding from all parties, improved quality control and just plain friendly emails!
